  • In today's reflection on Mark 6:7-13, we explore the moment when Jesus called the twelve disciples and sent them out in pairs to proclaim the Good News, heal the sick, and cast out demons.
Jesus granted them authority over unclean spirits and instructed them to trust in God's provision, not worrying about food, money, or clothing.
He emphasized the importance of relying on the hospitality of those who would welcome them and taught them to move on peacefully if their message was not received.
We are reminded that when called to do God's work, we should not be burdened by material concerns, for God will provide for us just as He does for the birds and flowers.
Jesus' teaching encourages us to share the gospel without forcing acceptance, knowing that our mission is to offer the message and leave the rest in God's hands.
Today, we also recognize the modern "demons" we face, such as addiction, anxiety, and depression, and our call to bring comfort and healing to those in need.
Let us go forth with the same trust and dedication as the disciples, carrying out our mission with faith and compassion.
May your Sunday be blessed with the peace and provision of the Lord.
Remember, God is the God of the impossible, and as true disciples, we are all part of His kingdom.
Have a wonderful day, and may God bless you all !
