Hi mate, hope ur good, just 1 question, what did u do with the old wiring harness thy connects to the old shifter tower... did u swap it over or do u just leave it hanging, cz am sure its the reverse light switch init... thanks
It has a slight grind going into first every now and then. It happens maybe one a week or once every two weeks. After the swap, it is better but not gone. I'm going to properly adjust the cables with the correct alignment pin, bleed the system and see how it is after that. Good luck with the swap. It does feel better.
@@MaqsVids I'm really only doing it because I cracked the tower replacing the crap tastic back up light switch! I just also want to thank you for doing a video because reading through all the forums with no visual aid sucks! Great video bro!

You need to seal the tower with rtv. Otherwise, good vid.
10:06 It is possible to open the box backplate? I dropped a drill bit inside while trying to readjust the gearbox 🤦♂🤦♂🤦♂🤦♂🤦♂🤦♂🤦♂🤦♂
I believe it is. I think you can just bend the tabs back. Good luck

I do believe I swapped it over. I will have to go back through some videos to be sure. I am sure that in the end I was able to plug it back up.
@@MaqsVidsam pritty sure its a diffrernt connector on the new 1.. or did u swap tht black thing, on top of the tower, over on to the new 1 mate..
At 7:28 I mentioned that I was going to splice in the appropriate connectors. I'm pretty sure that's what I did.
