RAMONDA" "I don't have, I don't have, I don't have peace, I don't have sleep, let the night come, let the day come, it's hard for the one who is alone It's like under water, everything is silent, I'm screaming, but I can't hear the white glow behind the mountains, I can't see the end, this road is for the wounded And there is no one to guide me to the bright star Danica The world is burning, every flower where the lilac ramonde has disappeared
I'm not sure how to respond to that. It makes sense that you can't relate to the song as much as you'd like, because the song is in Serbian. Would you (and the public) have made a connection to Loreen's "Tattoo" if it had been sung in Swedish? Just a question. The only two songs I "felt" were from 2019 (Netherlands) and 2023 (Loreen) - both sung in English, by the way. Teya's production team also added more beat in the last chorus for extra effect and also added the high notes (I really like this change). Teya Dora sells the song in every possible way. Her facial expressions, choreography and styling all add to it. I have no idea why you couldn't connect with this. Best to leave it at that.
Music is not about language and I am the person who dont care about lyrics too much, especially for the first listen. I go for a melody, and thats where Tattoo exceled and artist mesmerising performance. It just wasnt there, like some esence is missing. In melody, in vocals, idk. I missed the soul. But as you can see. All the ingrediences are there but yet not rly. This is a magic as you cannot choose it by force.
"Music has nothing to do with language" But it is a very important element of music. A language can add something to the song or take something away from it. If the Swedish version of "Tattoo" had been sung in Liverpool, would the result have been the same? Would people be as moved by the song as they were by the English version? How much would people understand? How many people were moved by the song AFTER they had read the lyrics in English? And how many of them were moved by the song after hearing the lyrics in English in the live performance? As a former head of the Check Republic delegation (and with all due respect to you), "Tattoo" did NOT have a "winning melody". It was the artist's name, the song sung in English, the popularity and the PERFORMANCE. Let us get this straight. I think I also made myself clear when I said it's best to leave it at that. Thank you for your post AND for your reaction. There are many others who will love, connect and identify with this song. I hope you have a great day!@@JanBors
If Billie Eilish would sing this song it would be worlds number one hit for shure...I felt nearly same emotions as listening to Molitva or Lane moje. In my opinion this is an outstanding masterpiece of ESC 2024
for sure, if Billie Eilish sings No Rules, it would be also number one. I think, watch my follow-up video, where I am much more talking about how to achieve it, what can be improved.
Given the things you said, the only reason why I think you were not touched by it is because you’ve already set your mind and heart on Bedem. That’s common. It’s called preference. When your mind unconsciously blocks anything from potentially endangering its source of endearment and already chosen pleasure.
I was exciting when they announced Teya Dora one of the people will compete to represent Serbia. When I heard the song it’s reminds me of her viral song Dzanum. When I see her live I think this might win PZE and she did. Usually when the year we got a lot of upbeat noisy weird song ballad will win lol.

I think this is just you not connecting with it, as many reaction channels did have a positive connection with the song, some even moved to tears. Though who knows, I dont trust the betting odds, nor any predictions. There are so many factors to consider that would result in a ESC winner, most wont know it until the very end in the finals. To me All the three Ex Yugoslav countries are in my Top 3, but those are my tastes.
If I will be really honest, the songs that won Eurovision never touched my emotions even if they were in english, they were okay, nothing special, Tatoo was okay but for me Euphoria was much better 🤷♀️most of them that won 🤷♀️, that really isnt the point with Eurovision, you should sing in your own language, but it is what it is and that is okay, Serbia has more sad history, then many other countries in Europe so the simbols and because of the all of the wars in my generation that lived through. We get the emotions from Teya and we feel them we know it comes from her heart😊
I am just giving you my feelings, nothing else. It can do also amazingly well. With Tattoo, I could immediately feel its a hit, from studio aand also live performance. Its not a touch, when you need to have chills, but from my own experience, as a producer, the worst feeling from a performance is - to not have it. Doesnt matter which. And somehow I did not had it with Teya Dora, without being able to tell you why. And it has nothing to do with a language, music rly has not boarders in this.
Ofcurse, I understand, we are different people and taste, so we cant feel every music or song in the same way, all do respect for that, But when we mention language, Eurovision and the point of it was that the countries would sing in their own language, not english, but this later changed, I just dont agree with this, but okay… It has nothing to do with the understanding, it has to do with the beauty to hear music in different languages, that’s it… when everyone sing in english, this is like an american or english show 🤷♀️
