Go easy on the Colman's mustard. It's not the mustard you're used to at all!! lol It will blow your nostrils! Lovely on a ham sandwich though...very thinly spread for me! So many generous people out there! I'm a Brit living in Michigan and it pleases my heart to see so many of my fellow country people being so generous and entertaining. (and it makes me somewhat homesick :( )

I concur, definitely go easy on the English Mustard! Lol.
There is an American lady on TikTok and FB I follow that makes food. She was sent a jar of Colman's English Mustard and was told in her comments by her British friends to go easy with it.
When it came time to try it a few days later, she commented that she'd been warned by her friend from the UK, but she "LOVES" yellow mustard, and she'll be fine!
She took a slice of white US bread, which is smaller and sweeter than ours in the UK. She did not butter it as we would normally do, she just put two large teaspoons of EM on one slice of bread, then two small slices of turkey on it, and went for it!
To say that EVERY person that's ever eaten it, or knows about it, were already invested from the moment she poohoo'd it, and put the Mustard on the bread. By the time she went for a bite, and with her having already warned, we were alternatively cringing and gleefully laughing at what we knew was about to happen! And Fate didn't disappoint us at all!
To say that the mustard did its job, is an understatement!
You'll be pleased to know that her nasal sinuses and tear ducts are in FULL working order, and have been effectively washed through! And her ability to contort her facial muscles into a variety of different expressions!
But, I'll give her her due, despite this rooky mistake, she did go back again and finish the half sandwich. 😂
Afterwards, bless her, she commented that she should have listened to her friends and that she mistakenly thought EM was like your yellow burger mustard out there. Which she now clearly knows it's clearly not!
And yet, despite this, she said it has a nice flavour, and her husband was going to LOVE this!
My brother and I could only wonder if that was what she was like with the jarred version. What would she be like with the Colman's English Mustard powder? Especially the stuff our uncle would make up for us at Xmas! He said that all he used was the powder and malt vinegar, but it would blow even our sinuses out! 😂 And my brothers would happily be able to eat CEM from the jar! We've all tried to make it like he did, but to no avail. Sadly, I guess it's something he took with him.
So be careful with it! 😂

Using vinegar will actually kill a lot of the heat. Simply use just enough water(or beer also works👍) to form a paste and then let it mature in the fridge for at least a couple of hours. That ought to clear out your sinuses and make the backs of your eyeballs sweat!!

The Isle of Wight is roughly rhomboid shaped, standing on a corner. North of the island is the port of Southampton. Geographically the island splits the tides in Southampton, instead of two tides a day the island gives Southampton four tides making the port a historic port. These days apart from commercial traffic it’s the cruise hub of the UK. Traditionally the home port of the great transatlantic liners. The Solent is one of the straits between the island and the mainland, the other strait is the Spithead.
The Isle of Wight is roughly 150 square miles in area. The town of Newport is the capital. Plenty of beaches such as Sandown, Shanklin, Yarmouth. The south west corner, facing the English Channel and the Atlantic is the Needles, a formation of rocks with a protective lighthouse. You can get a chairlift down to the beach. The town of Cowes is probably the centre for yachting in the UK, prestigious yachting club territory. Ferries from many ports on the mainland, car and passenger plus of course the hovercraft. There used to be a rail network but these days has about 15 miles of line powered mainly by ex-London tube equipment. From Ryde Pier to Sandown. I used to get the ferry from Portsmouth/Southsea to Ryde.

It is a lovely place, especially Shanklin and Godshill.. you will love it there. It isn’t particularly a large place. You can drive around the whole island in about an hour and a half. 😊 Love watching your videos.❤

I use to live near Papworth Everard, it's a lovely area to the west of Cambridge.
    Pretty villages and lovely people.
I love Cambridge and much prefer it compared to Oxford.
    Cambridge University has 31 Colleges.
    Oxford University has 43 colleges.
It used to be that students weren't allowed to own cars, that's why there are so many bikes! In Cambridge students had to live within 3 miles of the church St. Mary's the Great.
I'm sure these rules still apply today.
Just south of Cambridge is Grantchester, very pretty with The Orchard tea room. One of my favourite places.

Liverpool has two "Birds" on top of their city hall building (one facing sea-ward to watch over folk that have gone out to sea; the other facing land-ward to watch over those awaiting those who have gone out to sea). On a pronunciation guide these birds are the Liver birds. It is pronounced "Lie-ver".

Isle of Wight is 23miles by 13 miles and just off the coast of Portsmouth and Gosport . The Solent the bony of water between them . Gosport is where a lot of the military left from for D-day . The ferry for the island goes from Portsmouth , both were large military city and town and the harbour they share is where the Mary rose was lifted from . The island is 1.2 miles off the coast of Gosport and Queen Victorias private train would come down into Gosport and along the pier that used to stand on Stokes bay beach and her carriage put on her private ferry to take her to Osborne House which was her preferred home .

TikTok kicked off between Uk and USA recently as we are constantly told we like bland food which is hilarious to me as we eat strong mustard and horseradish the list goes on. Also our favourite kind of food is Indian which is most definitely not bland . It’s funny what people like to argue about 😂😂😂.
