I remembered Zhongli 5th character story said something about "the wind doesn't come to visit him anymore". I assume that "the wind" here mean Venti (anemo archon -> wind, visited Zhongli many time), so maybe that's one of the reason for the "where are those who shared the memory". But I'm still wondering why they don't go visit each other, and sometimes I was like: if he doesn't visit you then just go visit him @_@ Edit: I'm aware that "those who shared the memory" mean lots of Zhongli's friends. Also the salt god and guizhong who were other gods who died in the archon war... Another could be the 4 yakshas who died and even one of the four principle adepti died ! He lost a lot of people....
this voiceline in cn “欲买桂花同载酒” traces back to an ancient chinese quote “欲买桂花同载酒，终不似，少年游” that means to bring some osmanthus flowers and good wine on a boat to wander, but unable to relive the same feeling as being young. zhongli’s voiceline is different to the original quote as the second part is changed into “只可惜故人，何日再见呢？” which better translates to “but when will i gather with my old friends?” better than “but where are those who share the memory” so instead of the original voiceline, if translated literally from chinese, it translates to “desiring to buy osmanthus flowers with wine, but when will i gather with my old friends?”

Another reason is Chinese culture. Osmanthus wine is traditionally drank on 中秋 (mid-autumn festival), a time where families will get together to enjoy food and watch the moon together. As something used to celebrate reunion, osmanthus wine also brings out the emotions of longing and loneliness.
We need a bitter sweet moment where venti visits Zhongli again with a bottle of wine, then say something like "remember when all of us use to hang out at you're region, well I'm still alive, so let's enjoy the memory again, ehe"
i remember raiden ei's voiceline about morax, that she once met him during the gathering of the gods or something. i thought it was in celestia at first, that's cool actually. imagine Morax, Makoto and Ei, Barbatos, Rukkhadevata, original pyro and hydro archons and Tsaritsa gathering in liyue
no wonder Liyue became the world trade center the other nations probably were curious as to why their archons gather in Liyue and when they followed their archons and made contact with others they traded right there in Liyue and then it just stuck to make the Liyue we know today
We thought all Zhongli archon friends died wich it's almost true, we know that Greater Lord Rhukkadevata did kinda die but left a part of her to be lesser lord kusanali meaning she is kinda still alive, and in the Archon quest erasing Greater Lord Rhukkadevata from all memories means that Kusanali was the Archon all along, soo that seat did not change, and for the electro Archon there were always 2 Shoguns, Makoto and Ei, Ei being in the shadows as a kagemusha, so one of them died, the other one still alive, it wasnt such a change and still she is a friend to Zhongli who is still alive

And even if zhongli is still alive as Zhongli and not Morax, how is Venti to know that without being told or meeting zhongli himself. Just, Venti probably thinks he lost another friend, as well as being the final archon of the original seven...im making myself cry. For zhongli's birthday we should have an event where the archons gather and drink wine again so the Alzheimer's doesn't catch up to Zhongli. I was looking through the character archive, looking at the idle animations of the characters I don't have, so I get to Zhongli, he was taking a bit long to show his second idle animation, So I look away for a second And I immediately get jumpscared by "OSMANTHUS WINE TASTES THE SAME AS I REMEMBER"

They lived thousands of years and knew each other even before the Khaenriah thing, not like Nahida who was born after the corruption 🍀

It’s actually about Guizhong and Cloud Retainer. Before the archon war the three used to be very close friends and if you go to Cloud Retainer’s living place you could see a table with 3 chairs. One for Morax aka Zhongli, one for Guizhong and one for Cloud Retainer and on the table is a tea set that’s actually used for the Osmanthus Wine. After the archon war since Guizhong died Morax closed connections with Cloud Retainer and all the other Adepti. Morax then became bored of his job as the feo archon that’s why he faked his death and became Zhongli

Ei only became an archon 500 years ago after her sister's death and we don't know if she was present during archon war and meetings of seven. So Venti technically is the only one left
@@NaoMore i didn't see your reply, yes she did become an archon 500 years ago, And when Makoto was the archon, Ei used to come with Makoto often as Makoto's bodyguard but there were some times when Makoto used to come alone

So now I'm wondering if this line would now include Nahida since no one remembers Greater Lord Rukkadevata (and I'm assuming the Greater Lord would have been in the original 7 seats). Its kinda nice how these archons respect him so much. He is like the oldest of the 7 archons. They would casually ask about one another smtimes when we visit. Except for nahida who is already away from reality for 500 years.

@@NaoMore You should revisit the dialogues from Raiden Ei. She talks about venti and zhongli. In the inazuma's first event, Ei and Yae hinted how they knew about Venti as well. They lived thousands of years and knew each other even before the Khaenriah thing, not like Nahida who was born after the corruption 🍀

It’s actually about Guizhong and Cloud Retainer. Before the archon war the three used to be very close friends and if you go to Cloud Retainer’s living place you could see a table with 3 chairs. One for Morax aka Zhongli, one for Guizhong and one for Cloud Retainer and on the table is a tea set that’s actually used for the Osmanthus Wine. After the archon war since Guizhong died Morax closed connections with Cloud Retainer and all the other Adepti. Morax then became bored of his job as the feo archon that’s why he faked his death and became Zhongli
