    Mate, you've got your motor mounted static and your trucks that can move! It won't be long before you turn and that belt comes right off! Also that motor is too high KV to pull a human, it will burn out in no time at all. You need something less than 300kv.

    • @buildingfilming
      @buildingfilming 7 лет назад +4

      darkkevind1978 what would you say for an 800kv motor for a person who ways 87 pounds

      @enricosetiawan3838 6 лет назад +2

      WAAAAYYY too high. The highest you would ever want for any weight is 270kv.

    • @enricosetiawan3838
      @enricosetiawan3838 6 лет назад +1

      no way. Go for something under 250kv

      Would the pulley be fine if the mount was attached to the trucks because wouldn’t the mount move with the trucks when you turn

    You should use a lower KV motor, a boosted board uses a 210KV motor (but works on 24v) with the reduction you have now and since you use a 3 cell you should get one around 600-800 KV (750KV is readily available)
    Also, replace your bearings with skate bearings, it will make your board smoother and greatly increase battery performance. (I would say in your price range get Enuff ABEC 9's for about 10USD)

    The reason your belt fell off is probably because you mounted the motor to the base of the trucks between the trucks and the board. So when you turned the gear on the wheel would get disalined with the motor. I would recommend that you make the motor fixed to the cylindrical part of the truck near the wheel. You can get what i mean if you google electric longboard motor mount. Of course this is only if the belt falling off problem perists
