That is a thought provoking question. We’d be curious how you’re thinking about it.
We think it comes down to the individual.
- why are you wanting to be on a dating app?
- why are you questioning if it is appropriate or not?
- what gives you caution?
- are they healthy in their identity and values
- are they healthy emotionally or are they trying to fulfill an emotional need/insecurity
- a lady of that age may be advanced by older men who are smooth talking but not sincere. However, this can happen at any age.
Online dating apps are probably associated with older individuals more often because their options are more limited due to their age group primarily being married off at that point.
A big thing would be are you trying to rush it or are you trusting God in the process?
This doesn’t give you a direct yes or no, but I think it will help you think about the topic.
