Third season opening title (1967-'68), used for the remainder of the series, and second season episodes in syndication [the original second season title does *not* feature Sidney Sheldon's credit as creator].
It's unfortunate that the individuals running this RUclips page only know what information was given to them in a press kit by Sony. This theme is in fact NOT the arrangement used in seasons 2-5 of I Dream of Jeannie. This is the 3rd season arrangement that was later used for syndication. There were other arrangements used during the original broadcasts.
Why am i the only one who thinks this show should’ve been an animated movie that would’ve beat Disney’s the jungle book back in the 60’s. It would’ve been the first warner bros princess movie in the 60’s.
The most criminal thing about these television theme songs is there isn't an extended version of any of those! The artist should respect themselves and built more on it. Release the record. I'm sure the kids would have adored it.
I know the bottle was actually Green but from season 2 it was purple & the recolored it purple in the BW Season 1 episodes so I wish they had changed the Bottle Color in the Animation- I wonder at what point during the production they painted the Prop. I guess they did the animation for season 1?
I far preferred this theme to the generic first season theme. That may have been a better jazz piece, but it was a poor fit for this show. That had nothing distinctive about it. Could have just as easily been used to open something like the Dick Van Dyke Show or just as something you'd hear from a live nightclub band. This theme has a nice whimsicality and lightness that befits a screwball fantasy sitcom, especially with the trombone part. Same with the incidental music, which was so slow and dull in the first season then became often delightfully manic in the later seasons, especially during Larry Hagman's physical comedy.
I loved this as a child, and still do!🧡
Great Memories! I adore Jeannie❤️🙏
I remember watching this show when I was a little kid.. lmao 🤣🤣🤣
Very iconic 👏

Fun fact
This song for opening sequence is sampled by Yann Tomita on "Doopee Time" song
