Thanks… I also recommend placing a layer of toilet paper in the bowl before doing a No.2 as it helps keep the unit clean as it drops through the hole. By the way, any tips on what to do when the handle for the separation valve snaps off? 😩
That ends up filling the base a lot quicker. I used to do that. What I do now is I put extra of the flush liquid into the flush water and I flush once to coat the whole bowl and that usually works better. If there is a little mark left, instead of flushing more, you just grab her square of toilet paper. Wipe the mark off the bowl and then throw that bit of paper in the fire. The less toilet paper you use the less you have to empty it.
My home sewer froze a couple years ago. and luckily I have a few of these. Put it in the shower, behind the curtain, and used it for #2 (#1 was off back deck:). Flap open is the way to go. Keep a small spray bottle and a small toilet brush (aka: glass cleaner kitchen brush you are not using:) around to spritz and brush if needed after each "bidness". Keep drying on bowl from happening. My sprtiz in lemon scented, you may choose your fav.lol. Also, the little biodegradable "soap ball" bags for RV toilets do really knock down the odor, which is almost non-existent anyway (or I have no sense of smell:). Mine has a little "Green to Red" WARNING OVERFILL button, which has a "saftey zone" if you pay attention. Mine holds 5 gallon of fresh water which is 40lbs without your bidness, but I only use 3-4 (so girlfriend can empty it:) KIDDING:( Luckily I live in the country and even have an "outhouse/outdoor shower" for the coming SHTF (and it is!), so I just dump it in there when full. ** My sewer was "only" froze for 5 days until I got it steam thawed and corrected the problem, and it was winter and a couple 10-15 -ZERO days, so the inside facilities were for emergency use only. These little JOHNS are extremely reliable, and affordable, and I have one at camp, one in the mancave, and another just because. because I don't know why:)
Volume kinda low but that's the ONLY video I've seen where someone says to open the flap BEFORE use. Which my brother in law told me was the best option AND IT IS as I've found out. No need to dirty the bowl unnecessarily.
By far the best video covered all the bases 👌
This was such a clumsy, yet perfect explanation. Thank you.

Thank you! You make it look so easy.
Thanks for this, very helpful!
One of my water valves stopped working any idea why?

Correct
Indeed it is strange people keep it closed
Great video! X
Thanks so much! Very helpfull indeed.
there are some given small plastic caps and sealed, I dont know where to use this things
One is the holding tank cap, the other is the flush water cap. You MUST have the holding tank cap on ALWAYS except during emptying.
Thank you 💞🌍💞
I can't hear you! with the volume all the way up!
I am in Ghana where do I get to buy
Amazon
It looks complicated. I'd rather just shit in the woods.
This looks easier to use and maintain than those composting and incinerator toilets. They need venting and/or electrical.
Good luck when it’s cold outside!!
Can't imagine having to do that kind of work even with hygiene gears on. Yarck!
Maybe a bucket with a plastic bag? Yuck!
Maybe dig a hole and squat....yeah it doesn't seem too bad now huh?.
I was doing it all wrong lol,
No help
