I went to Pontins in Chichester in the 1970's, but mainly went to Gorleston Holiday Camp in Great Yarmouth. Videos of this place are on RUclips.
I was DJ there is 1989 (I Think)... under Paul Picton. Nothing had changed since 71 which made it a magical place to be for me at the time. I think we made £86 a week with board. excellent days :)

A year later, September 1971(the year of this video) we went to Pontins Holiday camp in Lowestoft Suffolk (Pakefield). The song on this video '(Tap turns on water" by C.C S.) reminds me of our holiday at Pakefield Pontins!! Cheers and thanks!!!!
Loved this, we live here now it is a gated community of retirement bungalows, it’s so peaceful and safe. The only downside is the gale force wind that blows in from the sea more times than not. 🌊💨🌪😂
I visited pontins holiday camps regular during the late 60's early 70's had a walk around the prestatyn camp recently couldn't believe my eyes how much it has deteriorated over the years cannot believe anybody would stay there absolutely filthy

These camps were great in the 70s for all the family then the decline sadly started in the 1980s
this is bad, even for the seventies!
