Great review. Appreciate your honesty. I think based off your recommendation, I will not be making this purchase, but will definitely check out your channel.
Just curious does it seem to be working ok? I have the sony a7rv that has no pano modes or anything besides focus stacking and auto exp bracketing and was wondering if it seems worth it so far like as a helper to reduce a little post work
Thanks for the review guys. Sounds spot on. I actually pre-ordered one, but in the months waiting for it I feel my photography skills have improved to the point I don’t need it 😂 so I was able to cancel my order and get a refund.
Thanks for the review. Appreciate your honest opinions. I would love to see you evaluate the panorama feature. Could the panorama feature make it worth buying?
I would hazard a guess that if you were a noobie, if the Arsenal2 pulled off some good shots, it "Might" be similar to having an instructor around as you could take note of the settings it dialled into your DSLR and you could/might begin to pick up on some of the ISO/Aperture/focal length cues it was suggesting and those notes might be something useful for a new-to-the-business photographer. I'm not suggesting that it would be better than actually learning and having a better understanding of the techniques from traditional sources but we all have to accept that these days people are impatient, some don't want to be told, they want to be shown and some people will never want to learn how, but just have that super auto box of tricks in their kit bag. This assumes of course that the results are generally okay. remember of course that some people just need "good" and as we know, often times, "perfect is the enemy of good"
Thank you for your comment. Based on our experience, due to the time it takes to set up and use the Arsenal2, more good photo opportunities will be missed. We agree that learning to use the camera and properly setting the exposure settings are far more valuable than depending upon a crutch.
@@TheFotobug I agree. Maybe Arsenal is a product that the makers hope will be bought out as intellectual property by a camera maker for their future AI based models? I guess it's functional benefit also depends on which camera you fit it to and which settings are available for modification? Is its value to a newbie not more useful than it is to a pro who already knows how to get the best out of his/her kit? Or is it just all baseless product hype
@@TheComputec It can be useful (especially for newbies!) for focus stacking, panoramas and time lapse. We just aren't impressed with the exposure setting feature and image adjustments!
What is the Arsenal 2 actually aims to do is create a "fine art nature and landscape photographer" out of a monkey with a wallet who picked up their first camera last month.
I think we were just insulted! Actually we are both senior technology analysts by trade, and we stand by our reviews of the Arsenal - over hyped and over priced! If it works for you we are happy for you!!

Hey! Glad we could help! The Arsenal does have nice features like time lapse and focus stacking but we weren’t impressed with the auto camera control.

Thanks for the comment. We will do a review on the panorama function!

That’s funny!
Looks two older gentlemen that have problems with technologies. I experienced none of these issues with my arsnel

Thank you gentlemen. AI is a joke in my opinion.
@@daryl0063 we can see both good and bad in AI. We just don’t like it used in place of human creativity!
