What JJ said about sports being bigger than hitting a ball out of the park is so very true. Being a huge Dodger fan I couldn't help but smile and feel for the city of Houston as we lost game 7 of the world series. As upset as I a may have been with the Dodgers losing, I knew that this was so much bigger than baseball and so important to the city of Houston. Throughout the series I kept thinking about how the Saints won super bowl 44 years after Hurricane Katrina had hit, and how much that had meant to the beautiful city of New Orleans and how rejuvenated the fans seemed. So as big of a Dodger fan I am, I think a part of me really wanted Houston to win the Series because of how much it would mean to the city of Houston. #BiggerThanSports

Jose Altuve’s actions showed his a leadership: don’t take credits, take the blame, and wanting, selfishless, the others players, his team, become the MVP; gave credits the opponents, and galvanize with his fans. Jose Altuve values sports and friendship: JJW great example.

There are more of those guys than you think. But most of them don't make a big deal of it. JJ did what he did and he should be honored for it but he was giving to the city before Harvey hit.

@@williamhorner8934 We had one- the Aeros. I remember watching them in high school. They had the 10th most attendance of all NHL teams but the owners couldn't reach an agreement with the stadium so the team was moved to Iowa.

I love this because I have worked for the Houston Astro’s for four years in retail, and I did meet Jose Altuve in 2015 and he’s a great guy. He’s a true inspiration to me, and he met my nephew Joey a few months before he passed away at age ten from leukemia. I hope the Astros win the World Series today for my nephew. Also, I recently started working for the Texans as a Digital Ticketing Representative on Sunday. So I’m proud that we won that game that day. I wish the best of luck to JJ Watt and pray for healing so that he can play with the Texans again for the next season. It’s amazing the amount of support each team has for each other. I also worked for the Houston Rockets selling their merchandise so these guys are like a distant family to me. I will always support them no matter what.

I remember we were living in a hotel because of Harvey, and I’d sit in the lobby and watch the games with all the contractors and fema employees. 2 K Man I love JJ I just hate how people treat kaep. He was sitting during the national anthem until he met with a marine who told him to kneel so he did. Kaep gave his own money toward his cause JJ absolutely did incredible things raising money for Houston.
