COE help provide jobs to those 40, 50+. Think about it. Government cannot create jobs that can give these people income good enough for them to take care their family. So how? Get the young (working class) to pay for more taxi / grab. How to get the young to take? Make them RTO and make car expensive. So if these people don't drive, they are forced to take grab, thus creating jobs for these 40+, 50. But at what cost? I can tell you many people put off having babies and families because cannot afford cars. So basically SG is sacrificing birth rates to keep the baby Boomer generation happy and satisfied. Otherwise this baby Boomer generation got no job... Become social issue but now our future is impacted because not enough babies
