I loved Michael Learned as Olivia, to replace her would have been like a child replacing their mother, it never goes over well. But I do feel sad that Patricia Neal was not asked to reprise her role, what a very gracious lady to overcome this and be the friend that Michael Learned called "friend".
The mother type all of America wanted AND I was lucky to have in my own Mother. What a great show it was.
So glad Ms Michael Learned got the part as Olivia in "The Waltos". Patricia Neal would of been great too but Michael Learned was the correct choice.
