Me , a buddy and my brother used to go fishing on Sat nights and play King Biscuit on the radio and get high AF during the spring and summer. Mid 70s to early 80s. Was fun and simple times, sure do miss them now.
Who's still fuckin' - rockin' to this fuckin' shit 2/9 2023. As it's already been widly commented I'l add only my prayers have been answered when listening to this recording LIVE and to be sure to mention that to date Robin Trower has well earned when seated in Rock Heavens stable of past and still present guitar greats. When he's called and answers for his final calling performance and is taking requests I would love to be in that audience (tour date's remain unknown) I'm calling it 'the Hear After Tour" and am sure I'll watch again James DeWare on vocals in fine form. Thanks for downloading I first heard Robin Trower from off an album "Solid Gold Hit Songs of 1973" I've listened to Bridge of Sighs to this day.
I just saw robin trower play again in Milwaukee on april 14 2019. It was a great show but slightly short. He played 12 songs. Plus an opening act. Robin is 74 and hasn't missed a beat. He still plays amazing. He played many off bridge of sighs which was great to see. Although longtime singer james dewar died in 2002 and both former drummers reg isidore and bill lordan have retired. Robin is playing with 2 very talented younger musicians. The drummer in particular was very competent and was right on. See him while you have the chance.
Ah yes, the old King Biscuit Flower Hour. What a historic series of recordings. Unfortunetly many of them did not sound that good when played back. This one actually sounds pretty good. Not sure how you enhanced it, but more power to you. Can not get enough of the mighty Robin Trower, especially live stuff from his prime years. Appreciate this post.
Freaking in the zone so. Goooooood. U will never ever hear a better band ever. Live hands down sure wish I could made this. Show .seem hundreds and maybe thousand shows in my.57 years and u never convince any different r.i.p. James. U were the best singer ever

Robin still does great concerts, but after James Dewar passed away , it never sounded the same..... Think of YES, AC-DC.. when your core singer is gone, a huge part of the soul is gone
It won't be long before we old farts all kick the bucket, go to Heaven & are all together with Jim, Robin, friends, family & all! See yous guys when we get there! Hope there's good LSD there!!! Ask & you will receive. I'll ask ...
Mike Taylor - Isn't it cool to see that ole grampa Trower kickin' ass on that Strat, traumatizing the twentyteens kids!!! Same for ole grampa McLaughlin!!!
Thanks very much for posting this. I'm 64 and first saw Robin Trower supporting Jethro Tull at Empire Pool Wembley many moons ago. I have the CD, but I'm playing this on my laptop through a Behringer codec and my Roland PM 30 monitor. Magic!
rockzulla I remember when BLT was released. I was surprised to see Jack Bruce on bass & vocals but he did a great job. Bruce has played with 2 of the best rock guitarists in the business; just proof as to how good he was.
Its definitely a great recording and concert. Robin trower always sounds good life. His sound translates really well to the live stage. He loves playing live he still does to this day. I saw him 2 years ago in Milwaukee. He played great and still had energy. Unfortunately james dewar is no longer with us and bill lordan doesn't tour anymore. Regardless his live band is still very competent.
@@learningmore727 -- No, many people make that error when writing about the radio broadcasts, spelling "Flour" instead of "Flower". The show's name came from a blues radio program on KFFA (1360-AM) in Helena, Arkansas, "King Biscuit Time" combined with the hippie phrase "flower power". The "King Biscuit Time" aired its first show on November 21, 1941, and was sponsored by the King Biscuit Flour Company, a regional company. The D.I.R. Radio Network presented the syndicated program, "King Biscuit Flower Hour", on Sunday nights from 1973 until 2005. As a teenager in the 1970's, I listened to and recorded MANY, MANY, "King Biscuit" shows.

1983, high school. Skip class, smoke and play frisbee at the park while the dude with the cutlass jammed his speakers for us. No better days.

Damn
'Smile' = chills! .... Goosebumps even! We will NEVER experience music like this again. Epic!
He's still playing regularly, with a great band, and still writing new songs. I saw him a few weeks ago; he sounds as good as ever to me.
Robin still does great concerts, but after James Dewar passed away , it never sounded the same..... Think of YES, AC-DC.. when your core singer is gone, a huge part of the soul is gone

Great concert! Just realized Rustee Allen (formerly with Sly & The Family Stone) was on bass, with James Dewar on vocals.

I believe this CD was officially released
Yes it was. I own it. Hreat fucking album.
Great music! (an image or two (rather than a blank screen) would have been nice.
Or display and hold the cut title continuously at the bottom, with OR WITHOUT an image, for help positioning. RUclips's navigation is so lame...
Yeah that description above makes sense!😂
I remember when he had more hair
Hmmm, this upload seems out of place with the other content posted by LPS , but thanks for posting!
