yamato is kinda complicated, especially for people that don't read the original japanese, i think. from what i've seen, it's come across to me that yamato doesn't exactly see herself as male, she sees herself as oden and because oden was male she comes across as masculine. i don't think she's ever said that she identifies as male over female. pretty sure oda has also added yamato to a female only manga spread, which suggests that she identifies as female, or at least non-binary or gender fluid.
Its literally the most obvious shit but people literally still cant accept that Yamato is literally just roleplaying as Oden

They HAVE to know about the series/manga, they are actors playing the characters and they have to memorize lines and plot. They probably read the entire manga, watched the anime, and re read the manga once again then they read the script of the show with acting. So im pretty sure they know the manga and the story from left to right more than we know.
matt did make them read the manga and watch the anime if they haven’t, and made people rewatch if they already have. he also made taz watch the entirety of whole cake island so he can understand sanji better and why he is the way he is.
