Day 1 & Day 2 of pre season testing is officially over and it seems like Red Bull and Max Verstappen may be strong but the Ferrari's of Carlos Sainz and Charles Leclerc are right on their heels as the Ferrari looks to be closest and ahead of the Red Bull of Sergio Perez at the moment. But what about behind them well it looks like things could be close and good between Mclaren and Mercedes, Lewis Hamilton had a very impressive day 2 but Mclaren really struggled in the second day as Oscar Piastri and Lando Norris were hampered by reliability issues. Williams, Haas and Alpine right now look like they are really struggling. But what else can we learn well in this video I will be taking a look at the data and showing that things might not be quite as it seems and things will be closer than expected.

Sounds logical that Sainz could go faster in those corners during his fastest lap, he had C4's in that run while Perez used C3 for his fastest lap.
Got the feeling RB was holding back and Ferrari wasn't.
That's a good point.
@@MrPulseF1 You have any information on tyre deg yet?
Wondering if Ferrari got more grip on it's tyre deg yet.
It seems now (watching Day 3) that Piastri's tyre deg is high.
If you have more info on these kind of things I would be very interested.
@@Rego1313 seems like Ferrari could have improved but yeah it looks like Deg was high for Piastri, McLaren could be in for a harder time after having a few reliability issues
I am praying that the pace of Ferrari in day 2 is real and they can get somewhere near Red Bull this year. Love the video
You and me both, day 3 should be very interesting
Checo is in the car. That’s all you need to know for day 2.
@@franp19they have a testing plan all can be changed when they put these cars into quali spec
Finally it is out, I was waiting for this notification
Haha I knew you would be. I appreciate the love as always
Seb , get out of the easy chair and into redbulls . I hate to see you turn into a couch potato.. treat yourself to something with all that money and have fun winning a few more races.. really nothing much has changed from the time you retired..
.
Sauber always looks good when it comes to testing but have to see their performance in 1st race anyways great video mate!
That's a good point, you're not wrong there. Thank you for that. I am glad you enjoyed
Great video! I’ll be back for day 3!
Thank you so much for that 😀
You’re the only guy i trust on F1 analysis rn bro keep it up 🙌🏼🙌🏼
Much appreciated, that means a lot to me 😊
I see at the end that the camera car has improved more than the Ferrari. That one could barely keep up.
Gave me a little more hope than I had before this video that it could be slightly competitive at the front they were saying rb has a second a lap on the rear I don’t think that’s the case
I believe red bull are ahead, I don't believe they are as far ahead as some are suggesting
General reliability is amazing compared with testing from years back.
Absolutely reliability has moved forward massively
Really hoping that I missed it during your Perez and Sainz comparison ... they were on different tires. Mediums vs softs
......
Yeah that's also very true 😊
I have a day off work today which is nice so can have a lie in this morning😊
With regards to testing, we have had a few distruptions with red flags etc. I hope the reliability issue on Wednesday for Alex is all repaired and Williams can have a solid start to the season 🤞
The drivers I think will be eliminated in Q1 at Bahrain are:
Sargeant
Zhou
Bottas
Hulk
Magnussen
Not necessarily in thst order but I think they will be eliminated in Q1
To be eliminated in Q2:
Ricciardo
Stroll
Gasly
Albon
Ocon
Not necessarily in that order but I think they will be the drivers who will be knocked out in Q2 in Bahrain.
Let me know what you think of ny predictions for Q1 and Q2 in Bahrain. Have a lovely day 😊
Excellent, I hope you have a great day off, are you watching any testing?
I think Alpine, Haas and Williams are currently behind so they are at risk mostly in Q1, Sauber are not far ahead of them though. It's going to be interesting 😀
@@MrPulseF1 thank you. i will be catching up with testing today but I am going away tomorrow for the weekend so will need to pack as well.
Ooh, I just hope one thing Alex can make Q2 in Bahrain. I will be wearing my Albon sweatshirt again this season and supporting him as always. ❤️
@@helenballinger5213 ahh that's awesome, hope it's a good weekend trip. Haha I wouldn't expect you to be supporting Alex any other way
How do we get this dataset for analysis. Please let me know if possible. Thanks in advance!
F1 tempo, it's a great website
It seems like Ferrari could be the 2nd fastest car reasonably close to Red Bull, i hope its the case😊
I hope it is close too 😁
I missed these graphs!
I missed using them too 😅 my channel was missing something
Are you the guy who narrated the famous Honey Badger video?
What is this video 🤣🤣🤣
Consistency is key. Rb have that with max. Even though ferrari runs a fast lap time. They can pull of the consistency rb has. I know this is just testing but I'm not seeing anything different from 2023 season
I think that is very much fair enough, red bull has been fantastic and consistent especially with max, Ferrari and their drivers need to improve there if they wish to challenge
Are we just ignoring that checo was consistently faster throughout the test? Like we just letting that slide?
Whats with the Couthard lapping a Red Bull ?????
That's some b-roll footage I have for red bull from last year 🤣🤣 Its early in the year and I have to make do with what I have
Is Ferrari better than Mercedes and McLaren
Evens-stevens
Overall I think they are right now
I sure that red bull win this year; Abd ferrary could take poll, but in the end red bull pace is the think the will give redbull the edge... in short: just like 2023 season.....
I don't doubt that Red Bull still have an edge. I hope it is closer, day 3 should be very interesting
@@MrPulseF1 what do you think of amr this testdays imo i think they are pretty solid a car thats not reallg snappy and maybe has potential when they actually go for performance runs
