- Hobart the capital of Tasmania, what a beautiful city,a place where it seems nearly everyone has a view of the water.The old buildings are many and I made this episode on a Sunday morning so not much traffic.
A great deal of the footage is around the waterfront areas,including Constitution Dock,which has some old sailing vessels and is the finishing point for the Sydney to Hobart yacht races.Also a quiet Salamanca area.
A visit to Australia's first legal Casino (outside) visit only.
Over to the Tasman bridge,site of the 1975 bridge disaster.
An eye opening visit to the replica Mawson's Huts museum, this is a real must place to go.
The the big one ,something I didn't get to do last time Mount Wellington, now this is a view of a city ,short of being in a helicopter, so glad I made it ( car)made it.

Hobart is under rated by so many Australians who don't understand its importance in Australian history

Hobart is such a beautiful city and your video really showed just what a special place it is to visit. When we watch your videos it brings back such wonderful memories for my husband and I of are holidays in Tassie. Mawson's hut replica was so different, and there were more original items in the museum that I didn't show.
It was a long video but I couldn't bare to chop anything out,as I wanted to show everything I had.Thanks and take care Bill

Hi Thelma, yes it made it up ,much better having a manual car,Mt Wellington lives up to all the hype,must be the highest lookout you can drive to,in Australia, glad the the clouds went ,thanks Bill.
