- Galarian Slowbro is a crazy Pokemon with the hilarious Quick Draw ability. I wanted to pair this with Belly Drum and some Oranguru gimmicks to make a really threatening VGC team...

FYI I understate how frequently Quick Draw activates in the video - it's 30% of the time, which rises to 44% of the time with Quick Claw!

I actually prefer using Own Tempo Slowbro. Pair it with Swagger Grimmsnarl and youre set. Grimm even has Fake Out to help Slowbro get the Trick Room off.
Yeah and the buff to blocking Intimidate is really neat too. All 3 of its abilities have a niche...
What about Flatter? I'm aware it's not as useful due to it only rasing your target's Sp. Atk by 1, but if you want to run a special attacking Slowbro, it could also work, right?
@@trqsh_can Yeah, that can work too. Id say Swagger is better tho just because Slowbro's offenses arent particularly impressive. If youre gonna use Flatter, Id definitely run Life Orb on Slowbro.
The Gastrodon Cult Swagger is better just because flatter is +1 and not +2, but +2 off flatter would definitely make that move used more.. for your own Pokémon lol
@@trqsh_can it can be useful, I used this set with Slowking in Double UU past gen, but now with Galar Slowbro you can run Shell Side Arm that is really powerful in Expanding Force set and still taking care of treat Fairies.

MrQueerLeader I was thinking the galarica twigs might attract the Mareanie the same way it attracts the Shelder when placed on Slowpokes head, so a crown made from Galarica twigs is more than reasonable.
Its shenanigans like this that are entertaining and funny but it all stops when in your competitive climb you get destroyed by a Quick Draw Crit from Slowbro
It's all fun and games until you get crit on a hit that youd have survived easily. Happened to my dusclops too many times while I was trying to set trick room.

Wow! I like your Galarian Slowbro for the fact that it's putting it's higher Atk stat compared to Regular Slowbro to good use! But I'm REALLY intrigued by your Oranguru supporting it! I have my own Oranguru with Symbiosis as well, but I never came up with what strategies would really appreciate its support like yours. Perhaps I'll have come up with ideas other than your Slowbro to utilize its full potential! :o

I didn’t even know galarian slowbro got belly drum. I assumed his stat distribution was worse because it was less bulky, but I never even think running physical slowbro lol.
It can also be a gimmicky trick room setter with regenerator
I love this. I wish quickdraw had a more organised system, like every other move or something though. A little too much luck, but god I still adore
If it was fake out priority on first turn after switching could make it a potent revenge killer, especially with shell side arm attacking the lower defense stat against calm minders
Yeah, it can be awkward to use with Instruct too because you don't know who will attack first...
@@foofootoo I think it'd be cool if it worked with this fixed rule: on any turn Slowbro did NOT have priority, it gets a special status to get priority next turn. So yes it might be closer to 50% priority, but I think forcing both players to have to work with that in mind is more fun. And it also means it can't get priority on its first move

I use max health, full sp attack Galar Slowbro with quick claw to boost the ability even more. I give him nasty plot and psychic also.
Then my second mon is a bulky whimsicot with protect, tailwind, and i give it the item psychic seed and Protect to set up nasty plot, and tailwind for rest of the team set up, and too buff the speed just in case quick claw or the ability doesn't go off (so it may outspeed some Pokemon)
Quick and slowbro is an unsettling combo

I've been wanting a Psychic/Poison-type since gen 4. I once made a Fakemon that was a levitating helmet with garbage and junk floating around it with the Psychic/ Poison-type and had the levitate ability.
Love the typing, it's pretty solid defensively and luckily Slowbro has good coverage so it's decent offensively too
Same here and I never imagined it would be Slowbro. I was thinking last gen that Naganadel would've made a cool introduction to that typing.
I use symbiosis of oranguru with chople berry and the Greedent that you featured last time it was great.....

My Slowbro, before seeing this, had Shell Side Arm, Belly Drum, Yawn and Slack Off
i use smash pass, to use a mix slowbro with the quick claw to make it insanely fun, in that way i can use his signature move that can be both destroy any non piority user, and even prankster "follow me" to keep him safe also he is named "Fastbro" just for the jokes
The mind games. Whether or not you try to set trick room that's exactly what they were expecting and didn't realize how much of a threat Slowbro could be.
Honestly didn't know that about she'll side arm and the dynamax mechanic. That's pretty unfortunate. Would've been great if it had the ability to retain its ability in dynamax.
Yeah I like this synergy that the team has, but not being able to use Shell Side Arm is annoying

Great video foofootoo! My only question is how come your Slowbro is Adamant nature instead of Brave nature? I ask because I noticed that you also used a max mind storm.
I intended it to be Brave, if it's Adamant that was a mistake xD but I guess with Quick Draw and Quick Claw it'll move first anyway. Max Mindstorm is a physical move based off Zend Headbutt

Even though it would be a bad item to use on Quick Draw Slowbro, does Quick Claw increase your chances on going first more often with a Quick Draw?

@@laterferaligatr2947 It would be a bad item for Slowbro to start with, especially if you're going belly drum. But putting it on AFTER the berry like the symbiosis Oranguru is actually the best.

I named my slowbro quick draw McGraw last 5 battles I used this setup every one disconnected as soon as I took out their 3 Pokémon

Are you sure about that?... Don’t know if I want to deal with double the max airstream spam but that’s just me. Or double max Nuckle/Ooze for effectively SD/Nasty plot on both Pokémon plus 200+ bp worth of attacks. ;)
Really any combination of 2 max moves in the same turn seems pretty terrifying.
I’m pretty disappointed Galarian slowbro didn’t get a max form. I feel like that really would have taken it up a notch. Or more galarian forms on the isle

Quick Draw is actually even better than Quick Claw, with a 30% chance of activation.
Why not use both and increase your odds to 50% chance of going first
@@sruiz310 It doesn't work like that. Quick Draw and Quick Claw don't pool their chances; rather, both have an independent chance of activating. You won't go first if and only if you miss both rolls, so if we multiply the probabilities of missing them together, we get
0.7 * 0.8 = 0.56
which means that Quick Draw + Quick Claw gives you a 44% chance of going first.

@@sruiz310 Correct. I was just pointing it out because Foo thought Quick Draw had a 20% chance super early in the video. The Symbiosis strat he used did indeed the Quick Draw + Quick Claw synergy you pointed out, but it was even more effective than he realized.
DrPumpkinz yeah, there doesn’t seem to be a clear consensus on quick draws probability. Some say 20% but so far I feel like 30% is more than likely based on my own play testing

Good point! But they could have switched out Seaking too - it wasn't doing much damage for them.
I thought Lightining Rod only activated on an ally pokemon if your move hits all pokemon like discharge and parabolic charge.

Double Quick Claw - mastermind haha. But don’t you think with the trick room that it is a bit redundant? Just looking at the opportunity cost of carrying another item.
I agree it's not necessary, but it is good contingency in case your opponent stops Trick Room with Taunt or Imprison for example. You still have a very good chance of moving first
