@@primrosevale1995 I mean it is very oddly specific. It will only pick up an item consumed by another Pokemon and it has no item itself. I honestly love that pick up is more useful now. I knew it got a buff, but I didn't realize how handy it was. Also, I have a suggestion. Then again, it could be a flop, but so far, from what I can tell, it's not bad and it's pretty unique and different. Plus, it's something very few people would expect. Just a thought
I never thought to use Trick or Treat to make Tyranitar immune to Fighting-type attacks. Awesome! Nice to see Gourgeist getting these buffs. I just wish that its Attack and Special Attack stats were swapped. I say this because in Gen 6, they introduced two physical-attacking, Grass/Ghost-type Pokémon evolution lines, which are Phantump & Trevenant as well as Pumpkaboo & Gourgeist. Then, Gen 7 introduced two more physical-attacking, Grass/Ghost-type Pokémon, which are Decidueye and Dhelmise. If Pumpkaboo and Gourgeist were special attackers, players could choose amongst Giga Drain, Shadow Ball, Flamethrower, Fire Blast, Energy Ball, Hex, Will-O-Wisp, Toxic, Protect, Shadow Sneak, and Leech Seed. Gourgeist would have been 10x better if its SpA and Attack were switched. It has amazing special moves like Fire Blast, Giga Drain, and Shadow Ball. It also would have differentiated it even more from Trevenant
It only works if another Pokemon uses the item. In this example, Throh "uses" the item with Fling, despite Gourgeist eating it. If Gourgeist picks it up again and eats it, Gourgeist uses the item so it can't Pickup again.

what about a weakness policy ally being triggered by gourgheist using brutal swing, then gourgheist picking up the weakness policy, and the ally using brutal swing too and activating weakness policy for gourgheist?
@@foofootoo i was thinking that too, but could it possibly be a consistent way to use it, maybe by specific ev/ iv investments?or maybe the one who is +2 using brutal swing could be a special attacker and have a 0 physical attack iv and brutal swing would be it's only physical attack?

The true power of the GOURD
not 'coal me by your name' in august 2020 XD
what about a weakness policy ally being triggered by gourgheist using brutal swing, then gourgheist picking up the weakness policy, and the ally using brutal swing too and activating weakness policy for gourgheist?
Definitely could work, though Gourgeist might have to take quite a bit of damage if its partner already has +2!
@@foofootoo i was thinking that too, but could it possibly be a consistent way to use it, maybe by specific ev/ iv investments?or maybe the one who is +2 using brutal swing could be a special attacker and have a 0 physical attack iv and brutal swing would be it's only physical attack?
okay,i love gourgeist and all,but why can you use seismic toss on a dynamax?
pokémon logic at its finest:sky drop won't let you pick up pokémon that are too thicc
but apparently you can take a gargantuan creature and send it to space
someone needs to draw an animation of throh launching the giant espeon
lol true I didn't think about that - all the weight based moves stop working against dynamax, why not Seismic Toss...
Been enjoying using Obstagoon but that 4x weak to fighting sucks. Trick-or-Treat makes you immune to fighting, eh? Hmmm...
gourgeist is so underrated
Agreed!
Trick or treat onto a Normal type? Somehow? Maybe?
I love gourgeist so much
Could you use Fling on Intelleon or a Non Huge Power Azumarill?
My problem whit gourgeist is that its signature move halloween/trick or treat is a status move not a attacking move
Has any one thought of using a high speed pickup gourgeist with trick on a power herd lunatone with meteor beam.
