agreed. There was something off about the other videos and it’s the non-James-May lounge music. Perhaps I got used to the Top Gear days, May’s Cars of the People, or even Man Lab. Great content nonetheless 🍻
The trio post-car presenting era. Clarkson on a farm. Shaking his fist at the sky over weather that won't co-operate. Hammond now drives around in cars, bellowing "POWWAHH!" And James May. Ensuring his gin compliments what you eat or can be infused into everything you love to eat.
1:10 James ranting about it taking ages before being allowed to eat the food while, in fact, not eating the food is such a James May thing to do. And the slow zoom-in makes it absolutely perfect. Love it.
Just watched One for the Road, I'm a 40y/o not overly emotional woman, and y'all had me in tears at the end. Glad I'll still get to see you on youtube. Best luck on all your future projects.
Ditto! Did not expect to have allergies at the end of One for the Road. I love that they are still each entertaining us with their different projects and occasional duo presentations, but all three together make pure unadulterated goldstar entertainment.
I can’t express in words the amount of joy Capt. Slow has brought to me. Whether it’s driving cars, drinking Gin or eating fish and chips, I love his personality and way of doing things. And when he taunts Lucy about her diet😝love it. Love everything.
James was clearly traumatized by that one time he was served food, and then got scolded for eating it.... Was it the Japan adventure? Don't remember when exactly that happened. But I'm sure James remembers!
I love how james just samples the other foods, but when it came to the fish and chips he took the whole thing and ate it all.and his reaction at the Yorkshire Wrap was amusing.
Just watched the last ever Clarkson, Hammond and May episode and it was amazing! Thank you so much for making all these great tv shows, specials ect. I'm gonna miss this in my life. Good luck!
I love that even without watching this to the end, I can tell that Lucy Brown is behind the camera because when the pizza is offered to the "crew", James has to make the caveat that there's cheese on it.
James, you have always been my favorite fellar out of the three amigos. Thoughful, mindful, sober minded, a fine food conoseur and my age. Keep up the good work! ❤
Classic May. My biggest bucket list item would be to have a meal prepared by and most importantly, shared with James May. I wouldn't even mind if he was the first to arrive.
Heya James, hope you'll actually see this comment: This is in response to what you said on S6E1 of the Grand Tour, "I hope we brought you a little bit of happiness"; to that I can only say: way more than just a little bit... especially over the last years, your escapades with the blokes was one of the few remaining high points of my increasingly devoid-of-hope life. Top Gear and TGT have been with me since I was 17, and I'm deeply saddened that it's over for good now... so thanks for all the laughter, all the joy, all the memorable moments!
James May is awesome, but I can't help but feel that he would be perfect for a show in a trio of presenters, maybe talking about something else, like cars for example
The very first time I flew overseas and had a layover at Heathrow, I found a small restaurant that wasn't crowded, and I had a place to sit down and eat. That's where I had my first (non-gin-infused) 'British fish & chips.' I was sitting there, a shy teenager, eating fish and chips all by myself, relishing every bite, and I felt very grown up. This video reminded me of that moment. It's also nice to see that James can go somewhere by himself without being followed by fans or paparazzi. LOL!
I'm SURE that sales for you Gin will go through the roof and you won't be able to keep up with demand. Good Luck. James. Thank you for bringing so much joy and happiness ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
I liked everything I saw in this video. But, you can never, ever go wrong with Fish and Chips. Adding gin, just takes it to the next level of delicious! Great video!!
Can't wait till your gin is available in retail shops here in Florida. Recently became a convert to gin and am really looking forward to trying all the different versions, especially the navy strength.
Lucy is the gem.. she is the one who makes James post grand tour.... he knows this because she is mentioned regularly. We need to give Lucy the credit she deserves
Round where I live there's a food truck called 'yorkie with no forkie'. It's just like the 'yorkshire burrito'. It's so good we had them cater for the evening food at our wedding 😉
Jeremy, James and Richard are my personal heroes. They represent normalcy as we enter into a time that is not normal anymore. I cancelled my prime membership after watching their final grand tour episode. No more grand tour = no more reason to have prime.
I know I said this before James, but I can't say enough that you, Jezza, and Hamster are my heroes. I still wonder if you got the birthday card I sent back when you had the Mail Time segment on the Drivetribe RUclips channel
I enjoy the minimal editing, refreshing from b-roll cuts and feel-good music in the background. Just watching a bloke do his thing.

A welcome reprieve from the normally over produced, over edited slop on youtube. Very much appreciate
He's only been on TV for the past 20 or so years. Just in case you're wondering in amazement.
Yes please, more of this!!!
U HEARD DA MAN!!! DONT SUBSCRIBE 🎉🎉🎉
As you can see, he's done this properly.
👌
Nice one!
"splendid!!!" in a very confusing tone😂😂😂😂
And the first to arrive
Captain Slow in a new adventure. Fish & chips is quite proper for him.

Can I eat this now?
James is still shell-shocked from being told off in Japan.
That's immediately what came to mind for me too. That Japanese train changed his life.
There’s a few comments referencing that so now I need to go find it.
I was going to post the same thing
😂😂😂😂 cheers
@@thefloatingcontinent9897 It was an episode of his "Our man in Japan" mini series.
Just 15min of May going, "mmmmm" and "oh" and "wow" but I'm here for it
Im to lazy someone create a tally and count the “mmms” , “wows”and “ohs”
Yep, love James, hate this trend
1:10 James ranting about it taking ages before being allowed to eat the food while, in fact, not eating the food is such a James May thing to do. And the slow zoom-in makes it absolutely perfect. Love it.
Well, you can't expect Captain Slowly to eat in a timely manner.
Annoys me a little bit by all that wasted food.
That's just his trauma from being humiliated in the Shiki-shima media food presentation.
@@loneliberation3483 generally the crew eats the rest
I feel this is a reference to the time he was given food to sit in front of on a Japanese train, as opposed to food he could eat.
These guys still keep us entertained. What more can you ask for

James is so postive, its very satisfying to watch. A change from the rest of youtube
Truly, a breath of fresh air.

Absolutely love James May passion of food and his enjoyment in what he does and his pleasure of entertaining us viewers.
James was clearly traumatized by that one time he was served food, and then got scolded for eating it.... Was it the Japan adventure? Don't remember when exactly that happened. But I'm sure James remembers!
Yes, it was his trip to Japan, the food on the train.

hes never done that before
I saw Lucy in the reflection of the window when James walked in... Would have been better with more Lucy in it 🙂

I love the running thing at the end where you just refuse to say subscribe etc. It honestly makes it feel more genuine.
1:05 good to see James is still scarred by that Japanese train ride meal.

James May is awesome, but I can't help but feel that he would be perfect for a show in a trio of presenters, maybe talking about something else, like cars for example
I saw a show on a farm once, where the farmer suggested that a show where cars race unusual things might be popular.
That is a new, inspirational thought, what an innovation. 😂❤
As I’d expect James has done this properly
I see what you did there
The idea of using gin in a vinegarette is a wonderful idea.

James having flashbacks to his train photo shoot with food "is this okay?"
love the content and also the James Gin JG.01 ❤
I haven’t drank any alcohol for 4 years but I’m still a big fan of this content, I can’t even describe why.
Here we see our man of the people trying proper food with gin in it!

A man of culture
He's done it. Now he can have a James Gin Mayonnaise
great work Lucy and James
Glad that you done the foodie gin review and enjoyed it immensely before the pleasure tax 😮
Saving this to watch tomorrow morning but I can already say it’s gonna be great

Gotta love lucy pushing the call to action.... shes James' mr Wilman

We need this in America! What an amazing concept. ❤
Good luck James, hope its massive!
James May telling the camera crew to sod off while he eats his fish and chips is one of the most British things I’ve seen ever. LOL
Nothing better than a food review from James May
Just ordered : London Drizzle × 1 & American Mustard × 1 cant wait to taste them . greetings from Mainz ,Germany
8:34 Fish 'n' Chips being called "balanced" when the only vege present is fried potato 😂
The Asian Parsnip is honestly one of, if not the best gin I have ever tasted.

A win-win : James Gin gets exposure. And that cool food hall gets exposure. Nice !
😁✌🏽 ...and an extra 👍🏽👍🏽 for the food when you can hear the guts of James May roinking in the background 😄
I'm American and I would love to have their fish and chips. I could almost smell them! And the salmon. That looked excellent, too!
Never tried Gin before. I'd certainly give James 's a go❤❤❤❤❤
I used a splash of American Ramstud gin in my orange curd pie (to help top up the juice level) and it worked out well.
I love how James asks before eating on TV now. Wish the editor clipped James eating the sushi too early from last time.
Gosh I love the good'ol Captain!

I’m glad James has made a Gin. There’s a real gap in the market for celebrity owned gins.
It's very on brand for a car journalist to have his gin available in Vauxhall. Bet Clarkson's eye twitched slightly though.
