@@mrtankalotrctankschannel Especially the opening sequence. Sometimes we get a thick ground mist up to about a metre in depth. Slo-mo through the mist at dusk🤔? Hi! I am lucky where I live it’s quite close to countryside, but I guess the good thing about the UK is most places there’s still woods and parks not too far from you. Thanks for watching and saying hi! Sorry for taking ages to get back, day jobs been nuts!, have a great Sunday
Dear Pez Happy new year to you too! cant wait to see what you get up to this year 🙂 and thanks for watching, you know what that means! Have a great rest of the week!
heck, that's kinda cool! I have the same model in base itself, but other then that with metal gearbox, tracks, gears, idler and rollers. how did you get that underbody waterproof? especially the battery compartment? Thanks a lot🎉
Hi! Thanks, the leopard is actually really scale accurate, they copied it from tamiya well!! 😉😂. the water proofing is mainly a bit of silicon around the battery lead hole, and i put rubber around the battery box lid. As long as its not sitting, or the water doesn't get above the height of the hull top for too long, your good to go (the board is on the top of the battery box so quite high up in the hull), put some vision blocks into the drivers hatch too. Some guys paint the whole board with clear nail varnish ( the ones driving up a flowing river with it virtually floating) but that's nuts! (but they do get a lot more views than me? wheres the fricking nail varnish!!!! 😂) Happy new year, and thanks for saying hi and watching my stuff, really means a lot! 🙂🙂
I guess at some point you bought a rotary base junction / slip ring for this? As far as I know the base kit doesn't do 360 degree traverse. I'm also hoping you can turn the headlights off, or are you stuck driving in a tactically unsound way?
Hi! Yes its in a future vid for the build on this, and yes the back and front lights turn off, its just a bit trick when filming and driving one handed at the same time 🙂 and i guess it good to show they work, or id get asked if the lights work! 😂 Thanks for watching, and have a great week
So….after all the abuse those plastic gears are still going strong? I intend getting one of these ( currently detailing / remodelling the HL Challenger II ) was thinking paying more for all metal gears/wheels/tracks etc, but I will only run it occasionally, it’s more of a “working” model so to speak…..but if this is still going strong with the mod you did to the gears, should I save my money on the basic version and spend the saved cash on extra detailing (cam nets/G3/crew etc)…would value your opinion…..
Hi! On this it’s still okay, it’s ratcheted badly on a few occasions, but it’s all fine, it should be okay if it’s an occasional runner in the house, outside a bit just keep it away from shag pile and long grass 🙂 but I would recommend steel boxes if using it more vigorously, but this does buy you a bit of time, like I say my son destroyed his t-72 plastic boxes on the front room carpet!. I must get another really cheap plastic tank and do the same tests without bearings.
@@mrtankalotrctankschannel thanks for the info, I’ll bear that in mind. Your tutorials on the Leopard are invaluable to a noob like me, really helpful, keep em coming! Thanks again 🤙
The slow motion bits are great👍👍👍
Thanks Steve!
