I got the Gear 360 2017 a long time ago, back in April 2017, but I didn't feel like making a review about it because I felt it was inferior to other cameras. 🤔 But now that it has stabilization, and with its insanely low price, it has rocketed to the top of the charts, for the best entry-level 360 camera in my opinion! 😮 That's why I spent a loooooot of time to make this video (it took me more than 2 weeks to finish it, as you can see from the intro! 😁 Enjoy it and if you know anyone who like to take photos and videos, especially parents with kids, please share it with them -- you can make a difference in their life! Best regards, Mic
Hi Ed! When you say effects, you mean like panning, tiny planet, etc.? I used GoPro VR Reframe effect in Adobe Premiere. It's possible to do the same thing on Insta360 Studio but I didn't want to have to export to insta360 studio first. Also while staying in Premiere, it's easier to coordinate with other effects, like timing it with the music. Best regards, Mic
Hi, thanks for the video had this camera since last year then I don't even know about that software upgrade, I was using my insta360one but now I going to be able to have fun with both
Thanks Ben! 😍 Now you know what's been keeping me busy from finishing our other collab video 😁 Speaking of which, i'm going to do that next, after posting the comparison test results. 😃
Fantastic video! I bought a Samsung Gear 360 based almost entirely on this super-informative review. Thank you! My 360 is being shipped as I write this.
Thank you very much Tom! I'm glad you found it helpful. I will continue to do my best for you and the 360 community with insights beyond just the specs. 😀
Watching in 2021, as I'm looking at buying one of these!! Such a good video mate! So buying this camera now! Thank you very much, covered everything!!!
Thank you very much Michael! Please note that prices have risen so it's not as cheap as it once was. And there are cameras with easier workflows such as the Insta360 One R or One X2. Here, take a look: ruclips.net/video/yrHcprg8HPE/видео.html
Don't do it. I just tested mine over a weekend, gathered about 2 hours of footage to find that the resolution is so low it's useless unless you're a foot away from it.
Thanks brendon! Yes I think 360 is perfect for it. I'm not necessarily trying to make art. It could be a photo or video that no one else cares to see, but to my family, it is special, and that is enough reason to shoot that photo or video. :D Best regards, Mic
Thanks B Smith! This video was made a few years ago but everything I said about 360 is still true. The good news is that there are even better 360 cameras that are easier to use today. 😀 here is an example Theta X Review: NO STITCHING NEEDED for 5.7k 360 Videos Or 11k Photos!!! 😲😲😲 ruclips.net/video/S2QWHTCtW-4/видео.html
Thank you very much My Woirold! and congrats on getting the gear 360 2017. If you have any questions at all, pls let me know! Welcome to the fascinating world of 360!
I've had a Quest 2 now for about 3 years, but I've only just picked up a Samsung Gear360 camera for immersive 360 shots for £35 in the UK, as my first choice, the Vuze XR is still £300 4 years on with it having both 360 mode and flip dual lenses for 3D. Otherwise, having lots of fun with the Gear360 at the moment. Desktop app from Sep 2018 now has stabilisation stitching, just missing the alternative 360 modes such as small planet view, which whilst phone app has it, phone app is no longer available on Play or Galaxy store and has to be installed as an apk (I luckily had an old J3 kicking around). So still working a few quirks out, otherwise, putting these videos directly onto the Quest 2, it's great being able to relive moments as if you're there, seeing everyone's reactions in fantastic detail.
Congrats Samiby! And I'm glad the desktop app now has stabilization. If you're shooting for Quest 2, you might also be interested in the Qoocam Ego. It's only 3D not VR180, but it's much more detailed. You can watch my review in 3D on Quest 2 here: ruclips.net/video/bpx2DYjpIH0/видео.html
Great video. Sounds like me - I have a DLSR and have taken what I think are amazing, high quality pictures but when I look back, I am not in them and the camera is a chore to carry with all the other items you need for a day out. I've been using the phone (S9+) as it is good enough and plan to add the gear 360 for cycle commuting safety (sadly needed) and holidays. Your video was very useful - thanks
I loved my OG gear 360 and I’ve recommended the 2017 model to loads of people. I use the xiaomi at the moment but I think for most people using a 360 camera on holidays etc the gear 360 2017 is amazing for the price. I actually miss shooting action cam style with the xiaomi. People using the gear 360 have some great shooting opportunities especially with the single lens option.
Thanks Calum! yes the 2017 is a really good deal now that it has stabilization. The issue is whether the workflow is acceptable or not. if it is not, i think mi sphere is a good alternative if you have windows. Re single lens mode, you can crop or use insta360 studio to convert the xiaomi 360 into non-360, with panning and very good stabilization. :)
I really wanted to use insta 360 studio but my Mac mini is old and slow. I’m using an iPad Pro recently but there’s a lot that you can’t get on the App Store. I’m going to do some mobile filming in Greece this month and edit on Luna fusion ( for the first time ). But as for 360 video I’ll end up editing normal 360 video on Lumafusion as it doesn’t do the insta 360 cropped image tracking that I crave so much. Very happy with the xiaomi though for photos. Using the xiaomi selfie stick is very easy for most use. Also got the extra long telesin selfie stick with the mini manfrotto tripod for more set up shots. I’m not going to get the Bluetooth remote for the xiaomi though as it seems too expensive for something I don’t really need. The video of you and Ben uploaded recently discussing things you’d like on a 360 camera looked amazing. The fusion is a fantastic camera. But for most of us I think it’s probably a bit too much. Keep up the fantastic work. Thanks for all the advice you give 👍🏻
Oh my! I had no idea they updated it to include stabilisation! I've owned since it was released and have captured so many great memories. I rarely used the video and assumed you had some fancy gimball to get those shots. But it's all in the camera! I'm so excited to use it on my next trip in August
Hi RXP91 yup with stabilization, it's way more usable now for video! woohoo! :D Have fun on your trip! 👋 The Gear 360 will be a great camera to bring! 😀
360Rumors.com I won't even bother taking that many photos because the videos are just as sharp! Do you find that the image quality of an extracted still from a video is on par with the photo? I'm assuming it'll have more compression artifacts due to h264 compression over jpeg. Also your intro is EXACTLY why I love 360 shooting. You get to live in the moment and not mess around with tech.
And I just checked my 360 app. No firmware update :( Edit: it's an app update rather than firmware. Stabilisation is there so I can get all my old videos processed. How amazing!
Hi RXP91! The 360 framegrabs from the video are indeed sharp, but the photos are sharper. Another important factor is that with photos, you can shoot in Landscape HDR which is a true multi-shot 360 photo with excellent dynamic range. But most of the time, video will be more useful. Just a note of caution: the gear 360 stitches videos very slowly, so it will be better to shoot short clips of around 30 secs to 1 min. Best regards, mic
Sir, you have created the best quality video that I have ever seen...very descriptive, very clear, very informative, and certainly appears very professional! I and searching for a good camera that will link to my Samsung Note 9, but Gopro does not...so the only camera I found so far is the gear 360....I just don't want a 360 camera. Hopefully Samsung will come out with a good quality action camera soon, one that'll link to my phone. Thank you for sharing your awesome video, I truly enjoyed watching it!
Thanks buddy! I have a GoPro Fusion and it has a very hard time connecting to my Samsung S10+ or iPhone 7. But the GoPro MAX seems to connect without too much problems. If you want a non-360 camera, check out the Insta360 One R. It is a modular camera that can convert from a 360 camera to a non-360 camera, an invisible drone camera, or a 1-inch sensor cam. Here is a comparison with GoPro: ruclips.net/video/9TEHnHAwIeo/видео.html
Thank you very much Saad! You can use a free software called insta360 studio. Here is a tutorial for doing this effect ruclips.net/video/Syvozms2egk/видео.html If you are using Adobe Premiere, you can use the free gopro vr plugin and the VR Reframe effect included in the plugin: 360rumors.com/2017/11/download-gopro-vr-reframe-360-video-plugins-free.html For magix movie edit, here is a tutorial: 360rumors.com/2017/11/easy-free-tutorial-edit-360-videos-affordable-software.html Cyberlink Powerdirector 16 can also do it (they call it View Designer), although i don't have a tutorial. I hope this helps! Pls let me know if you have any questions! Best regards, Mic
Siddharth Devalamakki thanks Siddharth! I recommend 2017 unless you really really really dont care about video. 😂 only 2017 has the new stabilization and it's very useful. i hope that helps!
The most important thing I noticed with the 360 gear and you do not lose anything with your family ,,, you also sutter from this problem of not appearing in the photos but now the 360 is going to be a show
Luiz Crosara yes indeed thats a great point! you are absolutely right Luiz! After all we are part of the family too. Thats why 360 is so perfect for personal photos and videos 😀
Sorry for my poor english i never study the language,,,,i try to do the best i can. you edit you videos and photos with which program??? the samsung software dont work in my mac...just only windows,,,,,what the best to make the videos and photos a look great????
Hi Luiz, don't worry I understand your English :) Before you edit, you must stitch the photos together. To do that, you need the Gear 360 phone app, or the Gear 360 app for MacZ www.samsung.com/us/support/answer/ANS00066650/ To stitch in the phone app or desktop app, just open the photo or video and in the phone app, click on 'download' or in the desktop app, just open the photo or video. After the photo or video is stitched, then you can edit. For photo, I recommend using Google Photos to edit. For video, you can use Virb Edit, a free editor that can edit 360 video. Or you can edit on the phone with Veer Editor, Collect 360, or V360 (they are all free editors for 360 video). If you want to convert 360 photo into non-360 photo where you control the view, use Theta+. Here is my tutorial: ruclips.net/video/q-t-fM0feio/видео.html If you want to convert 360 video into non-360 video where you control the view, use Insta360 Studio. here is my tutorial: ruclips.net/video/Syvozms2egk/видео.html I hope this helps! Best regards, Mic
@@360vroomers Thanks for you replay, I had problems tu install Actiondirector but in the final I have installed, but I think just is possible to stich the vídeo but no edit changing the angle. is that true? I am sorry for my english friend
Watching this in 2021, awesome review!! I found one of these for 75USD and I'm considering buying it. I'm impressed by the stabilization you get from the app, do you know if by now there's an option to achieve a similar result from a desktop software?
Thanks David! AFAIK, The desktop app hasn't been updated to add the same stabilization we get in the app, so if you want this stabilization, then you need to be sure your phone works with the app. I also need to caution you that the Gear 360 app takes a very long time to render videos. If you want an affordable 360 camera that will be easier to work with, you may be interested in Qoocam Fun, which is around $169 but it must be attached to a phone to work. You might also still be able to find the Mi Sphere on Aliexpress (it has similar stabilization as the gear 360): ruclips.net/video/Q2qRn7RdcVM/видео.html If budget allows, you can try to look for a used Insta360 One X, or even Insta360 One. They do cost more, but they will be much less frustrating to use compared to a Gear 360.
Hi Great video 👌👍👏👏 I was originally going to get Samsung gear 360 2017 but the more reviews I watched more my appetite grown and I thought insta360 one will be the best all round camera , now that I watched this review I have dilemma should I go for Samsung or insta360 one which is 3x more expensive. Is the insta360 one image quality that much better. Any help will be greatly appreciated Thanks
Thanks MOBYDICKSS and great question! First issue is compatibility: do you have a phone that is compatible with Samsung Gear 360 2017? If yes then Gear 360 2017 and Insta360 have somewhat similar image quality. You have to decide if these benefits are worth getting the Insta360 One: 1. Far better stabilization. You can also choose between full stabilization and direction hold (great for hyperlapses). 2. Much faster stitching. Gear 360 stitching is quite slow and can crash with longer videos. Stitching on Insta360 One is not so fast but it's much faster than Gear 360. 3. You can stitch on a desktop and get great stabilization. On Gear 360 you have to stitch on your phone to get stabilization. If you have to stitch many videos this is very inconvenient and will fill up your phone. 4. Much better app for editing on mobile. Insta360 One's app is the best editor for Freecapture / overcapture style video. 5. Hyperlapse. 6. Bullet time. On the downside, Insta360 One's wireless mode does not have live preview (to get live preview you need to attach it to your phone). BTW this week there's a special promo. You can get Insta360 One with 20% discount and free bullet time handle and invisible selfie stick here: 360rumors.com/2018/07/looking-vacation-camera-insta360-one-20-off-free-invisible-selfie-stick-bullet-time.html In summary, the insta360 one's key additional benefits are stabilization and usability. You'll have to decide whether those are worth the extra $200 (or $140 during promo period). Check out my Insta360 One stabilization demo (if you haven't already): ruclips.net/video/6weD4EeyLVs/видео.html I hope this helps! Best regards, Mic
@@360vroomers thank you for replying but when i used defult the quality of my videos is god as your video i thought you adjust some setting hier resolution or high frame rate! Thank you!
I have a question about editting. I wish to film 360 but only show the scenes I want, in essence a virtual camera fly-through. Is this possible ? I would like to take the appropriate views and de-fisheye them to give a normal 16:9 (or whatever) format. An example would be on a boat where you are watching some fishing. Once a fish is caught I would like to show that action of it being landed and released. I would only want to focus on the area that is of interest.
Hi Gazza-usa. Yes that technique is called overcapture. You can do that with Insta360 Studio, a free software. First, stitch the Gear 360 video on your phone. Then copy the files to your hard drive and open them in Insta360 Studio. Here is a tutorial: ruclips.net/video/oF0FnivMjGw/видео.html
Really learned a lot from this video yet I still have questions regarding the different modes and when they are needed. I can't tell if it is still recording or not. Would love more information on what setting works better when. ALso,is it recording on my phone's memory or on the memory card in the 360 gear camera? How much space or video time is available? Sorry, for all these questions but I bought this for work to do virtual tours in real estate and can't afford to make mistakes. Any response to any questions would be appreciated.
Thanks Diana. Here are some responses: 1.Recording or not: look at the LED lights around the lens. If it's flashing red, it's still recording. 2. Which modes to use: Photo for general photos Landscape HDR if you have the Gear 360 stationary on a tripod and want higher dynamic range (wider range of highlights and shadows) Video for general videos Time lapse - for time lapse videos 3. Recording time: see the LCD. It will tell you how many photos are left or how many minutes are left. 4. For virtual tours, I recommend using a lightstand and then using the Landscape HDR mode. Virtual tour topics are tagged here 360rumors.com/category/virtual-tours
@@360vroomers I am copying your guidance and apply it a little later and will let you know how it goes. Btw I have a small tabletop tripod that works as an e-z selfie stick for virtual tours. I am trying to do a collection of virtual open house tours where I am literally walking and showing the house as I go. That is my big objective in going 360 tour. Also, if it is being viewed on my camera is it recorded on the camera and or my phone's internal disk or does it not save the photos until I "save" it and do both 36- camera and phone have to be on at the same time?
@@dianacurtis8160 Hi Diana. Check out this same video at around 08:21 where I talk about viewing and sharing photos and videos. Basically when you capture a photo or video with the Gear 360 2017, it is saved into the camera's micro SD card. From there you can connect the Gear 360 to your phone wirelessly using the Gear 360 app. Then the gear 360 app will stitch the photos and videos and add stabilization. then you can transfer the files to your desktop, or upload them to your preferred virtual platform.
Very nice video, btw, I am a Gear360 2017 owner since the past year and I didn´t want to update the firmware to the newest version because I was afraid that something started to work wrong and because the Samsung support is quite bad for this device, I didn´t take that risk, but after seeing your video, I will consider the update because the stabilization looks good enough for a cheaper camera, in fact, I only took 360 photos with my camera because the videos looked quite unstable all the time. BTW, do you think this camera will be in the market for a while? or do you think that samsung will release a new version this year?. Thanks for you video.
Thanks alzarac3d! If you are not sure about a firmware update, try updating just the app first to see if it works. Remember to go to the gallery option and turn on the Stabilize setting. As for your question, I don't think Samsung will release a new version this year. Thanks again and enjoy the new stabilization! Best regards, mic
Thank you very much Jawenw3HL! I think Samsung could create a new camera if they wanted, but my guess is that the sales aren't as good as they hoped, and that's why they've been selling them at crazy low prices. So, unless they have a sudden breakthrough that makes them think that it will for some reason revolutionize the market, i don't think they will make another 360 camera. When the market grows, then i think they will re-enter it then. That's my *guess*. Best regards, mic
Hi, I have 2 Samsung Gear 360. Both was working fine until today. Impossible now to save pictures on my phone with one of the Gear 360. I reset the Gear, I reinstall the app but still same issue. Can you help me ? Thanks
Hi. Cool video. I recorded a video on 360 4k, but the phone app (iphone x) tells me that it cannot work with high res, so it will downgrade it. Also said that to get the 4k, i have to use the desktop app. So...no stabilization for 4k video? Do you know a turnaround?
Hi Dario. I tried on an iPhone 7 and what it says is that the 4096 x 2048 video will be saved as 3840 x 1920. The difference between the two is negligible. And yes it will be stabilized. In the Gallery, tap on the 3 dots on the upper right corner, select settings and turn on "Stabilize". Every video or photo you download from the Gear 360 will be stabilized. I hope this helps!
Great video. I have been following you for a few weeks since I first learned about the Rylo and the concept of overcapturing and using the Rylo software to easily make flat videos. I LOVE that thought. I have been using the orig Gear forever but don't do much with the videos since I don't know much about editing on my computer. Is there anything within the Samsung app, along with the Gear 2017, that allows you to overcapture and produce normal aspect ration videos like you have here? Or are you still using a desktop application to make these? Again I love your channel... you have gotten me excited about the new projects. I just don't have the cash to buy the Rylo right now. But getting the new G360 might be a good choice. THanks!
Thank you so much Jeff! I really appreciate the support. The Gear 360 2017 would definitely be a good choice as long as you have a compatible phone. As for overcapture, I created a series of videos about it, but yes there are free software on mobile for overcapture style videos: ruclips.net/video/QN4b_7Azr-c/видео.html See also the other videos in the series: Part 1 is here: (3 rules when to use 360 videos + advantages of overcapture) ruclips.net/video/WG1jXsPjl1s/видео.html&list=PLtGqGHDrZeFikWZem9r89pSLMQfQDoryx Part 2 (overcapture via desktop; how to make 360 videos look more detailed) ruclips.net/video/Syvozms2egk/видео.html&list=PLtGqGHDrZeFikWZem9r89pSLMQfQDoryx Pls feel free to post a link to your finished video here! Thanks Jeff! The Gear 360 isn’t sold anymore but the current equivalent would be the Insta360 X3. It costs more but it is far more convenient and has a lot of very useful features including the ability to shoot a 3rd person view with no reframing needed. If you’d like to take a look, here is my review 🤔 ruclips.net/video/V5EWMTzL6Y0/видео.html
Mic, Was just ordering the insta360 when i saw this..great job. Also what restaurant are you at? Im in Temecula and it looks like a great place. Thanks Keep making great videos
Thanks mayboyz2! The restaurant at the last scene is a chain called King's Shabu Shabu. They have branches in Torrance, Cerritos and Redondo Beach. :D The meats at this place are very good quality. 👍 Best regards, Mic
Hi Cha Par. To stitch and stabilize the best way is to use the phone app. If you want to do it on desktop, you can use the included actiondirector for gear 360 to stitch. Then you can add stabilization with powerdirector. ruclips.net/video/HQY9dlqbfNI/видео.html the gear 360 actiondirector has stabilization too but nowhere as good as the stabilization on the app. Best regards, Mic
Great video Mic!! Makes me want to dust off my Xiaomi 360 and go for a wander, wish they'd do some updates with it though the stabilisation on the Gear 360 now looks far better. Do you have any links to the Facebook photogrammetry you got to try out??
Hi pixxelpusher! I would say the Xiaomi and Gear 360 have their own advantages for stabilization. For example, in the roller coaster scene, you could see that the virtual camera would move suddenly every few seconds. On the other hand, Xiaomi would face a constant direction, making it easier to key frame. Anyway i will post a stabilization comparison! Sorry, I don't have a link to the actual demo, although I found a Facebook video that demonstrates it 360rumors.com/2018/07/facebook-photos-3d-models.html
Great video as always, Mic. You're a wonderful advocate for 360. BTW, where did you put the selfie stick when you went up on the ride? It's good that you weren't hassled about having it on you. Cheers, Ric
Thanks Ric! Yes my goal is to share with everyone how useful 360 cameras are! For the opening scene I sat on the selfie stick. Initially it was fully extended. Then the ride operator said i couldn't use it. I bargained with him - what if i made it shorter? he said ok. So I made it shorter. "No make it shorter." Ok. Finally he was ok with it. whew. :)
Hi Javishal. Gear 360 2017 only works with some Samsungs and iPhones. There is a fake app that might work for your phone but i havent tried it so it's no guarantee. The other alternative is to get a camera that will be natively compatible. I am not sure but mi sphere may work because its minimum processor is snapdragon 625 and your phone is 630
Hi, in what video editing program did you have this movie on youtube? Can I use the Rylo camera tracking function in any computer or phone program? Thanks for everything :) Stef
Hi Stef! For this video I used Premiere, and for the overcapture effects, I used the free Gopro VR plugin 360rumors.com/2017/11/download-gopro-vr-reframe-360-video-plugins-free.html But it is also possible to do overcapture effects on Insta360 Studio ruclips.net/video/Syvozms2egk/видео.html You can also do it on most video editors with 360 capability such as Magix: ruclips.net/video/mpfzBjJXPdg/видео.html Rylo is a special case because the videos are not 2:1 (they are 16:9), so Insta360 Studio won't work unless you first convert it to 2:1 ratio using a video editor. To use Rylo's tracking, do the tracking in the app first, then export it as a video. You can then incorporate that into your main video. That's the approach I used for this Rylo video: ruclips.net/video/wDLIF5uzbmo/видео.html Thanks again and let me know if you have any questions! Best regards, Mic
I have a new samsung gear 360 (2017). However, one of the camera shown a great color tone (blue) different from another one. How can I fix this problem? OR I need to send back to samsung for a fix?
CSMAN Happy hi CSMAN! Try aiming the side of the camera toward the biggest light source. This will distribute the light evenly to both lenses. If you do that, do you still see if that one lens is blue?
Hi Chun Yang! stabilization works for both photos and videos. Just make sure to turn on "Stabilization" in the app settings. If you need to realign the horizon, i like to use an app called edit360 by Yoichi Hirota. I hope this helps!
@@360vroomers sitrep Video stabilization ok Edit360 works fine Photo stabilization is still NG. For now, I just try to hold 360cam straight up and use edit360 to correct those aren't. May try to record video and capture 1 frame as still photo to get rid of it. ( Res lower to 4k only)
@@chun-yangwu2189 hm that is strange. i tried the photo stabilization and it seemed to be working. Are you using phone app or desktop app to stitch the 360 photos?
It's me again :) Now I got my Gear 360, I've updated it and have for starters just taken some pictures. But I cant get close to the quality on the final pictures compared to your video.. I've updated the firmware, changed the settings to the highest, checked for the HDR, but maybe I'm doing something wrong when transferring the pictures? Mic.. what is the latest firmware version. I'm in Qatar and I just checked via the app and it says I have latest version but I don't remember ever updating it.... are they rolling this update out geographically????
Hi Peter! The app update was released mid-May. Try it out -- you may already have it! See if you have a Stabilize button when you view a video. And to avoid having to stabilize one by one, try the Stabilize option in the gallery setting. HTH!
thanks for the info - apparently I DO have stabilization..... I've had the camera almost a year now. Just "upgraded" to the MiSphere but I think I may dust off the Gear 360 again. Was it always capable of 4K or is that new also??????
@@R.Ali.Y_6126 Hi Ali. When you say the results are not seamless, how close are the objects? If the objects are close to the camera, then the stitching cannot compensate for it. This is called the minimum stitching distance. As for the seamline being shaky, yes that's a characteristic of the gear 360 2017 because it constantly readjusts the stitch line. The solution in both cases is the same: avoid putting anything important in the stitch line (especially not faces :D ). Best regards, Mic
@@R.Ali.Y_6126 I haven't measured the minimum distance for the Gear 360 2017, but for a camera like this, it is probably between 3 to 5 feet. The cameras with shortest distance between the lenses have the smallest minimum distance. The other factor is how good is the stitching software. For example, Fusion has really good stitching software so it can stitch as close as 1 foot.
All 360 cameras with stabilization will have invisible selfie stick effect as long as the selfie stick is thin enough to fit between the camera’s lenses. See here 360 camera basics: ruclips.net/video/UHDLmzl2jhc/видео.html
Hi Stop Bullying. I don't know because I don't have the Galaxy a40 to test. Thanks so much Mic! I now know the second 360 camera to purchase. One question though: Do you know of any metadata code which can implement the "Zoom" function on 360 images & video like Google street view? It would great to have both rotate and zoom, it adds much more interest for the viewer. Keep up the great work. Take Care
Thanks Antonio! 😀 Great question! Yes it is possible to change field of view on Street View. Just change the fov parameter developers.google.com/maps/documentation/streetview/intro Best regards, Mic
Hi Mic, perhaps there is a misunderstanding. I don't mean change the fov on streetview because there is already a +/- for zooming. I am referring to adding a fov zoom parameter to standard gear 360 images/videos by modifying the metadata. 2. What metadata editor do you recommend for this implementation? Thanks so much!
Hi Antonio. Yes i think i understood you. The fov parameter is something you can add to the url to specify the default fov in street view. Best regards, mic
I am not understanding! I am not using streetview. Also it seems you need to use the streetview API as well I could not find the fov parameter at your link or in the support section. I don't think you can change the zoom level with "-/+" with a "default" parameter. And actually on the streetview page it also contains a hotspot linker which could also be very useful for all of us which neither the zoom or hotspot parameters are available for normal 360 image/video users. (Tip) search a location in Chrome using Google maps and it will display a streetview pano image with hotspots and zoom functions. I only discovered this because I needed to find a location in my city Los Angels and this is how it displayed the image of the location.
Oh, you're not using street view. OK. The Photosphere metadata specification has a parameter for specifying the fov. But whether or not that parameter is actually used depends on the player that you use. One easy way to control fov without having to edit the metadata is by using a 360 photo sharing service that lets the photographer set the FOV with a slider, such as Facebook or Kuula. Best regards, Mic
Anybody got a solution for app crashes on iOS? At this point, I’m wondering if a 2017 android phone running a 2017 OS might be the best bet to use this camera to it’s full potential. Just gotta find one for cheap.
@Thefan I ended up scoring a Galaxy Note5 for less than $40 shipped. Working pretty good. Worth it for the image stabilization and the Android app crashes way less than the desktop version. Also picked up an Insta 360 rs though… what an upgrade!
Hey man, Great video! And now I'm sorry for my long comment here, but I hope you read it through and can give me some answers.. And btw thank you alot, I now think I know what I have to buy..! I'm a gear/tech-head and are spending too much money on gear(not just camera, gear of all kinds) simply because I think it's fun to explore new things and because I cant really find what siuts me the best.. That has led me to the place I am today, owning two Nikon DSLR's with quite a few lenses, I got the Gopro 6 black with Feiyu-Tech G5 gimbal, Canon G7X mkii, Samsung S9+ just to mention the most important photo-related stuff.. And I forgot that I've backed the viral LITE on Indiegogo that I'm waiting for.. The reason I thank you is that all this stuff I got, I keep buying because I want to capture for instance my driving with the RC-car on my own.. I Dont want to need another person to film or to drive my car, I want it to be a one man-operation. My original plan was off course using the GoPro with the Gimbal, and that works kind of good, but I must always keep track of where I drive and what direction I face the camera. I've also planned mounting both the gopro and G7X on the viral LITE that I'm waiting for, and that's the thing I until I watched this video had the highest hopes for.. But now, after watching this video.. I am kind of thinking that I may just throw away the Gopro and the G7X and just buy the Gear 360 2017 and mount that to the viral LITE, or even when walking on the side of the RC I may just care about the hight of the lens and choose the caption afterwards, because now I cant miss the shots anymore..!? Do you agree with me on this one? And btw, lots of other users are mac-users who talks trash about the gear 360 because it got the best support on the Samsung devices. And even if I have been thinking about the gopro fusion I believe that camera is best suited for mac-users, am I right? And since I allready got the S9+ I might as well pick the camera that's paired best with these phones, agree? And last of all(I'm really sorry for the long post, I wouldn't hold it against you if you dont care to answer this mess(also sorry for my english, I come from Norway and english is not my native language..)), if you dont take the platform-issues(Samsung vs Apple ++), is the Gear 360 2017 still a good choice? Or is it just the best one for android and if you operate in all the available platforms, would the fusion kill the gear by how much..? Cudos if you've made it to the end, and if I see an answer to this I'll be very stoked. :) BTW: U got a subscriber from Norway tonight, hehe.. Cheers!
Hey there SiCkPuPPy! Thanks for subscribing buddy! I love the concept of the Wiral Lite! I backed it too! Yes you are correct -- you can use a stabilized 360 camera on the Wiral lite and you won't have to worry about what direction the camera is facing! Here's the limit: 360 cameras have less resolution than an action camera. So you can't be very far away or else you won't see much detail. The distance that you can use depends on the amount of detail of the camera. Gear 360 2017 has "good" level of detail. It will do an OK job, although it is not the most detailed. The other issue is that you need to stitch on the phone in order to get the best stabilization. If you want more detail, the consumer 360 camera with the highest level of detail right now is GoPro Fusion. Here is my review ruclips.net/video/3IB_WZurcls/видео.html Fusion can be used on both Windows and Mac, but you need a dedicated graphics card, such as GTX 1050 Ti. If you don't have a dedicated GPU then you can't use Fusion. Next to the Fusion in level of detail is Yi 360 VR. ruclips.net/video/bn1n1287L-0/видео.html But Yi 360 VR has no Mac desktop stitcher. Next in level of video detail are Ricoh Theta V and Rylo (only in daylight -- in shadows it is not so good). Then next are Insta360 One, Xiaomi Mi Sphere, Garmin Virb 360, and Samsung Gear 360 2017. They are similar in detail. I will have a comparison between these and other 360 cameras, including their stabilization performance in the next few weeks. Best regards, Mic
Thank you for a very informative reply, I will for sure look out for the comparison video. I see, how close to the camera do you have to be to get a decent picture quality? With the RC I guess you almost need to be next to it to get something useful then.. Aww, and I was hoping this resolved all my problems! hehe.. :) I will do a bit more reading and watching more of your videos before buying another camera.. BTW: Here in norway the Gear 360 costs more than $400 from the retail shops!
Hi SickPuppy. you can check out the opening scene in my video. I was close to the camera, so i'm detailed enough. The crowd is farther, so it is less detailed. The RC is smaller so you need to take that into account as well. That can give you an idea of how far away you can be. i hope this helps! best regards, mic
Hi Jaivishal. As long as the selfie stick can fit in the space between the lenses, then it will be invisible. see this tutorial: ruclips.net/video/jimV0HWEc1c/видео.html
Heya, maybe I missed it.. I thought you were going to give detailed step by step how you do Invisible Flying camera? I always have the selfie stick in 360 videos. You did an awesome job hiding the selfie stick. So much better on playback. Also, the quality of 360 is terrible. Wished there was a way to do 180deg with higher quality using this camera. I saw a few hardware mods to hack it into a 3D camera.. but software processing is a multi=step process on Linux.
Hi Wilson! You just need to align the camera with the selfie stick. This video explains it: ruclips.net/video/jimV0HWEc1c/видео.html As for inage quality, the only way is to use higher resolution camera such as the 5.7k insta360 one x or the 5.6k gopro fusion ruclips.net/video/rDqw-RqR-js/видео.html
@@360vroomers Thanks.. That worked. Good tip. Always wondered what the optimal position of the Gear 360 was.. Im actually looking at Insta360 EVO 3D.. I care less for 360deg. Most of the time your not sitting in a swivel seat with VR. 180deg 3D is perfect.
@@WilsonBradleyTheOfficial yes the evo is very good for vr180. Ive got a review here ruclips.net/video/jPEZJDpn__E/видео.html If your priority is sheer image quality, you can also check out vuze xr which has great image quality
That's pretty cool. One thing to note is that at long distances, there is not much 3D effect. But if you plan to fly your drone at low altitudes, that could look really nice! :D
akshay bagayatkar sorry no it is compatible only with samsung s6 and above. For other android phones i suggest xiaomi mi sphere instead. It can do what gear 360 can do but is compatible with phones that have snapdragon 635 or better. Mi sphere can also stitch much faster
Pipe Mentor hi pipe mentor. Yes as long as the selfie stick is totally in line with the camera (dont angle it in) then the selfie stick will be invisible in the photos or videos
great video and review.! can anyone plz guide me about this 360 cam that can we edit the videos of this cam jst like an insta 360 one x? (making it invisible with a stick, or stabilization etc? like shot in the video at time 0:28) if yes, then what software can we use for that ?
Thanks Faheem! Yes you can make this look like an invisible flying camera. Just use a selfie stick that remains inline with the camera. Then stitch the video using the Gear 360 app on the phone. Here is a video with 360 camera basics (i showed the one r, but the techniques apply to other 360 cameras too): ruclips.net/video/yrHcprg8HPE/видео.html
Thanks a lot for the reply sir. And plz one more thing, does this camera have the stabilization or not ? Like if we are on a roller coaster and it stabilizes to the horizon so that when i rotate, the camera is still stabilized horizontally to the horizon?
@@vibrantshades2116 hi Viper. Yes it has stabilization but you need to stitch your video in the phone app. If you stitch it with the desktop app, the stabilization will be poor.
Hi Flanegan B. This is normal for the Gear 360 2017. Actually it is constantly adjusting the stitching distance. It looks like wobble or warping when objects cross the stitch line near the camera. The solution is to be aware of the stitch line and avoid putting anything important in the stitch line. One way to visualize it is to imagine your Gear 360 is a giant fan. If the fan is going to hit you or your subject, then you're in the stitch line. Reposition the Gear 360 to avoid hitting anyone with your giant fan.
ok i don't know much about Mac but it seems your macbook is too old. For the Windows app, you need Core i5 5th generation or newer. Here are the requirements: downloadcenter.samsung.com/content/SW/201705/20170519125330651/Mac_Gear_360_System_Requirement_170518.pdf best regards, Mic
Hmm i don't know if it's possible... Laptop is usually not upgradeable. You can buy $400 PC, and it will even be VR ready: ruclips.net/video/0eIZpGKhPgY/видео.html
Great question GAproductions! The Wunder360 looks quite interesting, with innovative features. They are sending me a unit for testing, so I will definitely compare them side to side. But so far, among the ones that I've already tested, I think the Gear 360 2017 is the best value entry-level 360 camera right now. Perhaps that will change... we'll see! Best regards, Mic
have gear 360 end video after stitching becomes horrible its not the same as it was before rendering , end i don't see difference between 4k and 1080, end even it becomes worse when i add it in youtube it would be cool to have the same quality after rendering.
Great review Mic! Got me thinking of adding this camera to my collection. Should I get this or another Insta360 One? The Insta360 was just on sale again for $229. You gave so many great reasons and ideas for using a 360 camera. I originally bought it as a novelty but am really enjoying what I can do with it.
Thanks Pete! It depends on what you want that the Insta360 One doesn't have. For example, if you want higher photo quality to complement the insta360 one, you can get the mi sphere. There's a Mi Sphere discount here: 360rumors.com/2018/07/xiaomi-mijia-mi-sphere-360-camera-new-discount-codes-sale-240-99.html Or you can wait for the qoocam, which has a VR180 mode and features such as refocusing. ruclips.net/video/O7mLVAauR-0/видео.html Best regards, Mic
The gear 360 was discontinued many years ago but I still use 360 cameras all the time. Two of the most popular right now are insta360 one x3 and GoPro max. Here’s a comparison between them: Insta360 X3 VS GoPro MAX Side By Side: NO CONTEST! ruclips.net/video/PL1l8kMUZ8o/видео.html
I highly appreciate your answer. I just got a gear 360. Is there any software that I can use in 2023 to use it? I have a Galaxy S10, an Iphone 14 pro and a current MacBook air... My goal is to record as you did at 0:12 I understand there are newer and most advanced 360 cameras but I just want to record my daughter riding her motorcycle. As it was a drone following her. Tks
Thanks PJ! I really appreciate the feedback. I'll try to avoid making the music too loud next time. For now, I'll add subtitles so you'll be able to see what I was saying. Best regards, Mic
Sadly yes. Righf now the cheapest stabilized 360 camera is mi sphere. I was able to buy it for 130 last month on aliexpress. Here is a review: ruclips.net/video/Q2qRn7RdcVM/видео.html
good review. as someone who thinks industrial civilization will inevitably collapse very soon, not to mention the criminal and irreparable damage humans are doing to other species and the planet, i think you were wrong to have children though. if they survive to adulthood they will look back at your footage and wonder how you were all so blase about the destruction you were causing
Enjoy it and if you know anyone who like to take photos and videos, especially parents with kids, please share it with them -- you can make a difference in their life! Best regards, Mic
hi Michael, which app did you used for the effects ?
Hi, thanks for the video had this camera since last year then I don't even know about that software upgrade, I was using my insta360one but now I going to be able to have fun with both
Thanks Luis! Yes with two cameras you could put the cameras at different places and switch perspectives :D
Or use one while the other is charging. :)

The stabilization was added may 20, 2018 so maybe you might want to confirm you have the new version (app version 1.2.00.8)
Totally agree with you on the Samsung Gear 360, congrats....great video.
Thanks Miguel! :D
Excellent promotional video for 360 photo/videography! So convincing!
Thanks buddy! 😍 I hope more people can see it so they can understand why they need a 360 camera.
Great Work Mic, especially love the comment in the last minute of the video. Makes it sooo worthwhile - documenting general life.
Thanks brendon! Yes I think 360 is perfect for it. I'm not necessarily trying to make art. It could be a photo or video that no one else cares to see, but to my family, it is special, and that is enough reason to shoot that photo or video. :D Best regards, Mic
Just seen your video I like your understanding of the samsung 360⁰ specially how to use the 360⁰

Dude, TY! Help a lot in search of stabilized 360 cam!
Thank you so much! I totally agree re DSLR and congrats on getting the Gear 360! I think you'll be pleased with it! 😀
Thanks for all the advice you give 👍🏻
lumafusion is a great option for editing on mobile! 😃 have fun Calum!
No firmware update :(
Edit: it's an app update rather than firmware.
To do that, you need the Gear 360 phone app, or the Gear 360 app for MacZ www.samsung.com/us/support/answer/ANS00066650/
To stitch in the phone app or desktop app, just open the photo or video and in the phone app, click on 'download' or in the desktop app, just open the photo or video.
Here is my tutorial: ruclips.net/video/q-t-fM0feio/видео.html

Hi
Great video 👌👍👏👏
I was originally going to get Samsung gear 360 2017 but the more reviews I watched more my appetite grown and I thought insta360 one will be the best all round camera , now that I watched this review I have dilemma should I go for Samsung or insta360 one which is 3x more expensive.
Is the insta360 one image quality that much better.
Any help will be greatly appreciated
Thanks
Thanks MOBYDICKSS and great question! First issue is compatibility: do you have a phone that is compatible with Samsung Gear 360 2017? If yes then Gear 360 2017 and Insta360 have somewhat similar image quality. You have to decide if these benefits are worth getting the Insta360 One:
You can get Insta360 One with 20% discount and free bullet time handle and invisible selfie stick here: 360rumors.com/2018/07/looking-vacation-camera-insta360-one-20-off-free-invisible-selfie-stick-bullet-time.html
In summary, the insta360 one's key additional benefits are stabilization and usability. You'll have to decide whether those are worth the extra $200 (or $140 during promo period).
Check out my Insta360 One stabilization demo (if you haven't already): ruclips.net/video/6weD4EeyLVs/видео.html
I hope this helps!

Great video review may i know what is the setting do you use on gear 360 for video and photo thank you!
Thanks Carlos. I just use the default settings. 😀
@@360vroomers thank you for replying but when i used defult the quality of my videos is god as your video i thought you adjust some setting hier resolution or high frame rate! Thank you!
@@carlosreyes-su5tk thanks! You can get better stabilization by stitching with the phone app. Other than that it is default.
yes thanks for your efforts in making vid and explain all simple as possible very great help to me to my divice thanks again steve in uk
Thank you very much Steve! Have fun with the Gear 360!

Thank you very much. I really appreciate it.
Here are some responses:
1.Recording or not: look at the LED lights around the lens. If it's flashing red, it's still recording.
2. Which modes to use:
Photo for general photos
Landscape HDR if you have the Gear 360 stationary on a tripod and want higher dynamic range (wider range of highlights and shadows)
Video for general videos
Time lapse - for time lapse videos
Awesome video, glad to see something about gear 360 camera.
What you think, will samsung release new gear 360 for 2018? Maybe on Samsung note 9 event?
Thanks
Good job Mic...worth waiting for.
Thank you very much J M! I'm so glad you like it! ✌
Hello Mike
Thank you much for making this video it helped me a lot. Five stars for you. :)
I subscribed to your channel as well.
Thank you very much Rikky!!! I have many interesting videos coming. Stay tuned :)
Hi.
I hope this helps!
a to z about samsung gear 360
Thanks buddy!
As for overcapture, I created a series of videos about it, but yes there are free software on mobile for overcapture style videos: ruclips.net/video/QN4b_7Azr-c/видео.html

360Rumors.com your welcome, the editing and all the work arround it takes a lot of time. The samsung gear 360 2017 is not a bad camera for the price.
Yes absolutely - the workflow is quite slow. For users who will take many videos, you're better off getting a xioami mi sphere or insta360 one.
That’s 100 percent my issue I’m 60 have great photos but where am I lol was I really there nice video
Thanks Jeff! The Gear 360 isn’t sold anymore but the current equivalent would be the Insta360 X3. Could you suggest PC software that can stitch and stabilization for samsung gear 360?
Best regards,
Mic
360Rumors thank you so much
You're welcome!
Much appreciated, I'll check out the link! Love the direction all this tech is headed.
Yes it will be interesting to see what 360 / VR can do a couple of yrs from now :)
Great video as always, Mic. You're a wonderful advocate for 360. BTW, where did you put the selfie stick when you went up on the ride? It's good that you weren't hassled about having it on you.
Cheers,
Ric
Finally he was ok with it. whew. :)
LOL! How wrong was I?! Glad you stuck to your guns. The footage was well worth it and it still looks like an invisible flying camera!
Hi. Thanks, but having trouble connecting it to Street View. Tried connecting to is Wi-Fi but I get errors. Had the previous model and it was easier.
I have one more question is it working with Samsung phone only ? Coz I have Sony xa2 ultra...

Hi Stef! For this video I used Premiere, and for the overcapture effects, I used the free Gopro VR plugin 360rumors.com/2017/11/download-gopro-vr-reframe-360-video-plugins-free.html But it is also possible to do overcapture effects on Insta360 Studio ruclips.net/video/Syvozms2egk/видео.html You can also do it on most video editors with 360 capability such as Magix: ruclips.net/video/mpfzBjJXPdg/видео.html
Rylo is a special case because the videos are not 2:1 (they are 16:9), so Insta360 Studio won't work unless you first convert it to 2:1 ratio using a video editor.
To use Rylo's tracking, do the tracking in the app first, then export it as a video. You can then incorporate that into your main video. That's the approach I used for this Rylo video: ruclips.net/video/wDLIF5uzbmo/видео.html
Thanks again and let me know if you have any questions!
Best regards, Mic
Thank You! :)
No problem Stef! Enjoy! :D
Samsung replaced a new one for me.
that's great!
Question: would stabilization work on Photo? or it works on Video only?
Or is there any Mobile Apps to re-align horizon?

hi dear
I have a gear 360 but the stitching software (actiondirector 2.0) didn't work perfectly. do you have any alternative?
Hi Ali. What do you mean it didn't work perfectly? Do you have a screenshot to show what you mean? Thanks
Hi DEAR , in video mode , the results were not seamless and sometimes objects in the seam line seem shaky and unsteady.
Best regards,
Mic
@@360vroomers How much is the minimum stitching distance? more than a mono-pad arm?
@@R.Ali.Y_6126 I haven't measured the minimum distance for the Gear 360 2017, but for a camera like this, it is probably between 3 to 5 feet. The cameras with shortest distance between the lenses have the smallest minimum distance. The other factor is how good is the stitching software. For example, Fusion has really good stitching software so it can stitch as close as 1 foot.
Wait, so the Samsung 360 has the invisible selfie stick mode just like the insta 360??
All 360 cameras with stabilization will have invisible selfie stick effect as long as the selfie stick is thin enough to fit between the camera’s lenses. See here 360 camera basics:

Hola, sabes si sigue funcionando con iphone 13?
Sorry but I don’t think the app is available for iOS.
Just change the fov parameter developers.google.com/maps/documentation/streetview/intro
Best regards,
Mic
BTW: U got a subscriber from Norway tonight, hehe..
Best regards,
Mic
Thank you for a very informative reply, I will for sure look out for the comparison video.
I see, how close to the camera do you have to be to get a decent picture quality? With the RC I guess you almost need to be next to it to get something useful then..
Aww, and I was hoping this resolved all my problems! hehe.. :)
I will do a bit more reading and watching more of your videos before buying another camera..
Do you need special selfie invisible stick or any stick will be invisible ?
Hi Jaivishal. As long as the selfie stick can fit in the space between the lenses, then it will be invisible. see this tutorial: ruclips.net/video/jimV0HWEc1c/видео.html

As for inage quality, the only way is to use higher resolution camera such as the 5.7k insta360 one x or the 5.6k gopro fusion ruclips.net/video/rDqw-RqR-js/видео.html
Ive got a review here ruclips.net/video/jPEZJDpn__E/видео.html
If your priority is sheer image quality, you can also check out vuze xr which has great image quality
@@360vroomers Yes, I saw your video/ review on insta360 3D. They are expensive still.. $400 +, considering I want to mount it on a drone.
That's pretty cool. One thing to note is that at long distances, there is not much 3D effect. But if you plan to fly your drone at low altitudes, that could look really nice! :D
Is it compatible with all Android phones?
akshay bagayatkar sorry no it is compatible only with samsung s6 and above. For other android phones i suggest xiaomi mi sphere instead. It can do what gear 360 can do but is compatible with phones that have snapdragon 635 or better. Mi sphere can also stitch much faster
Is the selfie stick erased in editing on the Samsung phone? Thanks!
Pipe Mentor hi pipe mentor. Yes as long as the selfie stick is totally in line with the camera (dont angle it in) then the selfie stick will be invisible in the photos or videos
what is the update with Facebook system to step into the photos?
Sorry no new info on that. But oculus quest is becoming more popular, so i hope that they will release this feature in the near future.
than you, good job!
Thanks Timelapse World! If you liked that video, you might be interested in this one too: ruclips.net/video/Q2qRn7RdcVM/видео.html
Is it compatible with non Samsung smartphones
Sorry, the app only works on certain Samsung phones and some iPhones. See the google play app listing for details.
great video and review.! can anyone plz guide me about this 360 cam that can we edit the videos of this cam jst like an insta 360 one x?
@@360vroomers thank u so much. So it means that i will stitch the video in the app 1st and then i can copy the video to a desktop app to edit further?
@@vibrantshades2116 yes exactly
do anyone have problem with the camera? Everytime I render there's a wobbly artifacts going on on the final video.
Can Samsung gear 360 2016 get output like this video?
It can but the stabilization is not as good as 2017 gear 360.

Hello I Try to Install the samsung Software, and receive i dont have the vga to install?? do you Know whats is this??? thanks...
Hi Luiz. There are minimum specifications to run the software. May i know your pc specs, specifically the processor, ram, and gpu (if any)?
Core I5 8GB DDR 3 Macbook mid 2012 is old yet........kkkk
ok i don't know much about Mac but it seems your macbook is too old. For the Windows app, you need Core i5 5th generation or newer. Here are the requirements: downloadcenter.samsung.com/content/SW/201705/20170519125330651/Mac_Gear_360_System_Requirement_170518.pdf
best regards,

My mac its aold Core i5 and need a core i7,,,,,just upgrade them or used a 3 party softwares(kkkkk)
Hmm i don't know if it's possible... Laptop is usually not upgradeable. You can buy $400 PC, and it will even be VR ready: ruclips.net/video/0eIZpGKhPgY/видео.html
Yea but isn't the new wunder360 camera better than it with 1080 60fps?
Great question GAproductions! The Wunder360 looks quite interesting, with innovative features. They are sending me a unit for testing, so I will definitely compare them side to side. But so far, among the ones that I've already tested, I think the Gear 360 2017 is the best value entry-level 360 camera right now. Perhaps that will change... we'll see! Best regards, Mic
have gear 360 end video after stitching becomes horrible its not the same as it was before rendering , end i don't see difference between 4k and 1080, end even it becomes worse when i add it in youtube it would be cool to have the same quality after rendering.
Can you compare this to mi sphere 360 4k
Hi kc0isw! Great question! I took some comparison shots and will post a comparison video -- stay tuned! :D Best regards, Mic
There's a Mi Sphere discount here: 360rumors.com/2018/07/xiaomi-mijia-mi-sphere-360-camera-new-discount-codes-sale-240-99.html
Or you can wait for the qoocam, which has a VR180 mode and features such as refocusing. ruclips.net/video/O7mLVAauR-0/видео.html

Whts the name of ur selfie stick?
Hi Boyke. I used the Benro MK10. ruclips.net/video/ZOqJkC4sp7k/видео.html
I have the same camera but the photos are very bad resolution, and now i have the madv 360, photos 7k, and moooore.
Hi Fidel! Yes I like the madventure's photo quality and especially the workflow. The Gear 360 is an affordable entry-level 360 camera.
2023 you still using it? Regards
The gear 360 was discontinued many years ago but I still use 360 cameras all the time. Two of the most popular right now are insta360 one x3 and GoPro max. Here’s a comparison between them: Insta360 X3 VS GoPro MAX Side By Side: NO CONTEST!

Tks
I just did a video on my channel about the stabiliztion also...
cool! let's spread the word!
Good video, but the music in the last part is too loud, I can't hear what you are telling....
Thanks PJ! I really appreciate the feedback. I'll try to avoid making the music too loud next time. For now, I'll add subtitles so you'll be able to see what I was saying. Best regards, Mic

With my old man memory, you should have taken the credit...! 😂😂😂
Dang I don't use my phone for video. I wish it was on desktop because that's where I do video.
Yeah it's too bad their desktop software can't seem to stabilize nearly as well as the phone app. so strange!
