Did the cop loses his professional cool? Yes.
Did the driver have it coming for speeding and flipping him off? Also, yes.

The cop guy was a bit unprofessional. However he didn't pull the guy over for the flipping off part. He pulled the guy over for speeding up to him and passing him above the speed limit. Cop guy was speeding to catch another speeder who went about 1/3 mile ahead of him. The idiot druggy kid thought the cop guy was speeding for no reason so he decided to pass the cop and flip him off for whatever reasons blocking the cop making him lose time to chase the original fast speeder. The first speeder got lucky since it was the druggy kid who took the butt yelling by hindering the cops movement. LOL

I'm so sick of people these days. It seems there's a general sense of entitlement, self importance, and "I don't give a f--k" going on around me and I'm pretty well sick of it from family all the way to the random stranger on the street.
Gender, generation, location, race, income, vocation, mindset, does not matter! People suck from all walks of life.

They know the officer can’t arrest them for it and likely won’t assault them since that would likely land then fired or in jail themselves. This is a perfect case of the person losing behind the officer’s badge. 99% of the time the officer’ comma on sense and badge keeps them from reacting like most others would to these idiots. This reminds me of the first time (and so far only time) I flipped someone off...
When I was 17, I was driving in the left lane passing a line of traffic. They were going just under 65, I was going just under 70 (65mph speed limit). As I was passing the last car in the middle lane, I saw a flatbed truck in the right lane with its left blinker on. I was directly in its blind spot, so I didn't want to get back to the middle lane in case he merged into me. As I begin to pull past the flatbed, I saw a Ford Taurus riding me pretty close. I gently speed up little-by-little to ~77mph, with the Taurus getting closer and closer the entire time.
I was already having a pretty bad day for personal reasons, so once I was clear of the flatbed and finally moved to the middle lane, I flipped off the Taurus as it passed.
He slams on his brakes, turns on the red-and-blue's, and I can feel the pucker factor as I pull over. Officer steps out, walks up to my door, and starts berating me about hanging in the left lane without having passed anyone. As a scared teenager, I keep any of my responses to "Yes sir" and "No sir". After reaming me for about 5 minutes, the last thing he yells at me is "DON'T YOU KNOW A POLICE CAR WHEN YOU SEE ONE?!" I answer with, "No sir, I didn't recognize your car."
He stops dead in his tracks and is silent for about 20 seconds, looking between me and his cruiser. I think he finally understood where I was coming from. His car was *completely* undercover. Lights hidden under the grill and tinted windshield, residential plates, no spotlight on the mirror... *no way* for me to tell it was a cop car, especially when he's riding close enough to smell my exhaust.
He quips, "Get out of here! Stay out of the left lane."
I haven't flipped off anyone else since.

I honestly think the cop should've been commended. People don't understand how stressful their jobs can be and are. Law Enforcement Officers are not robots, they are humans and most people treat them like shit for no legit reason. Again I say this cop shouldn't of been put on leave, he should've been commended and given a reward cause it's unfortunate there is no way for officers to truly express the stresses of the job and this is a good example. He said "I got 14 months on the job, I can't fucking wait to be done with this job", which just shows the dedication allot of officers have to the job and to the community, that even though they hate the job, they stay in it until they are forced out because they actually care. Which again begs the question, why the fuck do most folks treat them like shit? If a cop does something wrong, fine make it known and report them to it. But for the good officers that are doing their jobs to protect and help the communities they serve, show them some god damn appreciation and stop treating them like shit cause those officers don't deserve to be treated like shit.

Well said and from the heart....I feel ya...their job is a double edged sword and 95+% are Good Cops who don't get enough appreciation...Community appreciation needs to be more instead of mostly civic org's, city government or from within the police dept....

Poor guy just caught his wife in bed with the pool boy last night, went to the roach motel for the night. Had no hot water in the morning. Spilled his coffee on his lap on the way to work, then had to deal with this meatball. I felt his pain. Every second of it. Dude just wants to retire and drink whiskey.

@@LugiThePainDrinker My comment was actually a sarcastic shot at hypocritical so and sos who condemn police officers for anything they can catch on camera. The "that I know of" at the end was supposed to be the tip off. I'm not a cop, but I actually have had a 40+ year career, and worked closely with law enforcement the entire time. The older I get, the more I get left alone by the police. I say this and I will get pulled over tomorrow, but it really comes down to be aware of dangers on the road (in other words, being a defensive driver) and minding your own business. Also, showing respect to people that were obligated under the current laws to pull you over for being a hazard of some sort.
I hate all of the anger toward police when people dont realize that their votes are the ones that determine the laws that police are required to perform as part of their duties.
On the other hand, every job has a beast that you will be forced to come face to face with at one time or another....and you cant escape it no matter how much you dont feel like you should have to deal with it. This cop is fortunate that someone with that little regard for police wasnt intent on harming him.

I don't care about a badge or uniform. No man has right to treat another like he did. We are equals. If he wouldn't act like that without the uniform, he shouldn't act like that in one.
