Honestly I didn’t think they could make a frog/toad like machine into something difficult to deal with. The bilegut absolutely destroyed my perception of how dangerous an oversized amphibian could be.
Very true! Just to make a point seems a " consolidate " tradition for DLC/ espansions, if you noticed the new machines on Frozen Wilds had different colors, Frostsclaw light blue and Fireclaw red, and the alpha versions of Fireclaw and Bilegut share same brownish color
I love how detailed they create each machine. I hope they make a show about this and learn more about each machine's information that is not provided in the game. I'll even watch it in like, an animal planet show format
@@unknown_2552 yess. Hopefully they also make a show about the actual event that happened in the past. I would love to see a cinematic about the old world's view, especially when they had to fight multiple Horuses
I like the bilegut, it's design is very nice and unique, the stingspawn are really annoying though.I feel they could have added more machines in the dlc. Besides that, you have made the machine spotlights soooooo much better than when you started, I feel like you have a great future ahead of you, and I'll be there to see it🙂
Great editing! keep it up I would like to mention at 4:43 you mentioned the stingspawn's only weakness is the energy cell, but I believe the eye is a weak spot as well
@@unknown_2552 I believe it has a 2x damage multiplier, which would make it a weak spot ( when I hit it with my 30 impact damage warrior bow, it does 60 )
I honestly think the Bilegut is one of my favourite machines. It's the first time we've seen a machine posses in-situ resource utilization capabilities. This leads to the possibility that other massive machines that might lurk in the water could be portable cauldrons. Machines so large they have their own network of machines that feed them, then said machine produces smaller machines. Kinda like the Horus. Anyway, great video again, Noxious!
Genius design! Not getting much credit are the Horizon games and the unique machine creatures like this one! Absolutely challenging and fun to take down!
Who else wishes not only to override and freely walk the machines but also get inside and pilot them like a mecha on the third game? become the machine
I would want to see a Thunderjaw fight against the Bilegut. Since you made a Thunderjaw vs Slaughtspine post when the Thunderjaw destroyed the slaughterspine, and the Bilegut seems to be very OP so I would want to see Thunderjaw and Bilegut fight!
Excellent machine spotlight video Noxious. Like you, I wasn’t overly impressed with the Bilegut, but have since gained a more appreciative view of them. They are certainly quite tough to fight but I love the challenge they offer. Anyway, stay safe and take care mate.
I didn't knew that the Bilegut would eat their kids once there job is done! Feel bad for the Stingspawn as their only goal is to eat junk and get eaten by their Mother
Additional cool details is that just like a toad it only catch pray when both eyes can see it, you can even see it pumping the scrap into the container. If you dislodge the main container all scrap it collect afterwards will fall out. If the acid/fire sacks are destroyed it will fling scrap that’s collectible. It’s tongue whip attack can steal loot from you and can be collected from the ground. If stingspawn is alone they will collect the scrap in their eggs and can be collected by destroying the egg rewarding processed metal, meaning the egggrowth can digest metal. Tips for dealing with stingspawn: Jump r1 repeatedly Berserk valor surge Range master valor surge explosions
Best way to deal with Stingspawn is Ancestor’s Return with Shock Shredders. Apex Bileguts have a TON of HP, at least on Ultra Hard. Approach with caution.
Thats a shame. Only 3 new machines. Bilegut, stingspaw and waterwing and a the horus exclusive to story which sounds dope btw. What about the apex variants for machines like the apex sunwing heart. Or the shellsnapper fire variant. With it being hinted in the base game final with the shellsnappers inferno cannon or something. I haven't heard of anything like that
@@unknown_2552 bilegut looks cool but it's the equivalent of the frozen wilds where they just added the fireclaw and left it at that. Stingspaws don't even look like a challenge and are more of an extension of the bilegut than it being its own machine. The waterwing might as well be classed as a variant of the sunwing except it does purgewater or chill water attack I believe? This is just my opinion from others playing the game as I have ps4. But from face value perspective it does sound underwhelming
@@unknown_2552 Indeed. The biggest machine I've been able to put up against a Shellsnapper was a Widemaw,a and the Shellsnapper wrecked it (the Widemaw was the one that had been overridden).
The Bilegut can also steal resources from you with its sticky tongue attack I’m not sure if you get said resources back for killing it and what it can’t steal and if it does something with said resources, I lost 300 something shards meh
It's not the largest but it is indeed the most agile machine. Btw, there's a new valor surge called 'Override overdrive'. Imagine a canister burrower killing a behemoth convoy in seconds...
@@unknown_2552 With pure dumb luck, they can. But that's just my view. I especially want to see how it fares against the slaughterspine and thunderjaw with this valor surge.
It was kinda surprising how easy it was to take down a bilegut. I can't think of any other large class machines except behemoth that' easier. Rockbreaker, snapmaw, thunderjaw, stormbird, fireclaw, slaughterspine all have more difficult in them. Bilegut just isn't as agressive or fast, and it's ranged attacks are rather easy to dodge, so it's a pretty chill fight even on ultra hard with crap gear, as long as you take those pods out that summon minions. And by chill on ultra hard I mean run circles around it with shredder gauntlet and just mindlessly roll, it can't really hit you.
I was waiting for this 🤩! A shame we only had "two" machines in this DLC if u know what i mean 😂. One question i have is, u cannot overrive stingspawns but if u overrive a bilegut, the stingspawns that he spawns will stay by your side like overriden machines or something else happens??
@@unknown_2552 as you could already do with most other machine, if you ever seen a bilegut up close, easier with an override one, how does it do? What are it's usual behaviours? Do they function as anything other than being a combat class ?
Am I the only one who felt Bileguts were surprisingly easy to manage? It's pretty easy to dodge their jump attacks and thats mostly what they do, it's like they don't even intend to jump on you, but just close by lol.
@unknown_2552 hey this is just ahardy on my new account but what happened to you, hacked, giving content creation a rest, ill. Also I haven't played hfw for a while until today but why is there a subtle black border around my screen I haven't altered any settings so I was just wondering about that.

I was not expecting a Heavyweight frog machine for sure… I only pictured a midweight at the biggest. So I’m with you there!

I love that the bilegut actually has some color on its armor, not enough machines have coloration
