I just had my first fight against 3 waterwings at the same time. I had no idea those things have more than twice the HP of Ravager. I took the fight like I would take on 3 sunwings, expecting it to be easy. Oh I was running around almost helplessly at the start, not knowing what exactly to do. 3 machines is usually not that bad, but when they are hyper aggressive, fast and first encounter I had a lot of trouble figuring out what weapon to use against them and how to avoid their attacks. In the end I ended up facetanking them with Toughened VR while throwing explosive spikes as long as I had blastplates to craft more, but somehow in the end I won. Extremely frustrating 20 minutes, if ultra hard didn't lock the difficulty setting I would load back a save, turn the game on story mode and use those waterwings as stressballs.

It was kinda surprising how easy it was to take down a bilegut. I can't think of any other large class machines except behemoth that' easier. Rockbreaker, snapmaw, thunderjaw, stormbird, fireclaw, slaughterspine all have more difficult in them. Bilegut just isn't as agressive or fast, and it's ranged attacks are rather easy to dodge, so it's a pretty chill fight even on ultra hard with crap gear, as long as you take those pods out that summon minions. And by chill on ultra hard I mean run circles around it with shredder gauntlet and just mindlessly roll, it can't really hit you.

How do you get a waterwing

Not valid, u are running with curves, should run in a straight line, we humans and we can't make the exact same movement 2 times so there can be adventajes for certain mounts taking slightly faster turns or paths even if u do it on the same area

The most annoying machines I ever encounter in the game so far. I can't stand for this at hardest difficulty. Even the easiest difficulty, I had some other time to take down this machines especially they're in groups, throwing-flaming-triple-things like bombs at deadliest accuracy....

This machine is pretty hard for me to take down so I watched this😅

So does the actual arrow damage number not matter that much since everything else is so good. Because my Marshall hunter bow has like 80 something damage which is more then 64 that Death Seeker has. Does that not mean anything?

i have never played hfw but i did play hzd i knew the overwritten machine would be stronger so i used the corruption arows on the war bow to make 2 thunderjaws fight it was pretty messy but i think that is mlre fair

Crazy part is, never had much trouble with any of these machines lmao. Hard or not, played too much dark souls to care about any difficulty mode. Easy game when it comes to combat, love the puzzles tho! Makes the game challenging.

This is the signle best Horizon video I've ever seen. Watching this was enthralling. I genuinely thought there was no story left after HFW but if you are right then GG have crafted an absolute masterpiece of a story. And I think youa re right, dead on. Just an FYI. You can mount claw striders. I didnt know about that until i accidentally pressed square next to the one i overridden

Every time I see these massive behemoths first thing that pops in my head is Jurassic Park 3 the Tyrannosaurus vs Spinosaurus. Just imagine how intense this battle would be if both Slaughterspine and Thunderjaw were both Apex. Talk about the battle of the Titans. 😈

Hearing this guy so monotone is genuinely the strangest experience ever.

Apex machines are the sequel to daemonic machines, whereas one was only in one area and was just an affliction, the other is found almost everywhere and made in every probably made in every cauldron. The main similarity between the two is that they both include purple elements.

These are honestly my favorite machines in the game aside from stormbirds, tremortusks and fireclaws.

How soon can u find 1 I just started new game pluse and it's not at the location with the bridge how far do I have to progress in the story before I can farm them

I'm sure this is just my own ineptness, but I literally cannot dodge a single one of her close-up attacks. No matter how I try to time my dodge, she always hits me and takes away most of my health in each hit (at least on hard difficulty). Since she usually manages to get a second hit in, I die very quickly. So far I've only managed to take her down by about 10% before getting killed. It seems like my only hope is to level up to level 50 before I take her on again.

Stalkers are one of the hardest enemies in the game to fight. Not only do they turn invisible, but they often come at you in numbers, making it hard to focus. And sometimes they even team up with other species of machines to make it even tougher.

I use adhesive to slow down this machine, then explode it.
