Are you sure you are in the Bahamas and not Lake Tahoe, judging by the puffy jackets?! 😂 It’s so great to see you two back. Wishing you all an incredible Caribbean sail and we will be cheering and following along the way! 🎉❤
I am absolutely thrilled that you were able to take some time to decompress, relax, and unwind. The journey you've been on for the past 6 months, with all the extreme learning, challenges, triumphs, and emotional rollercoasters, is truly remarkable. And let's not forget all the multitude of decisions and anticipation leading up to the boat delivery last year - what a whirlwind! During your well-deserved break, with both the Covert Castways podcast and the Sailing AWEN channel on pause, I indulged in my AWEN fix by rewatching the entire All Together series. Your ability to live life to the fullest, craft an incredible story, and share it with such honesty and vulnerability is a double gift. You have a knack for engaging viewers and making them feel like they're right there with you on this epic adventure. I don't think a single soul was watching who wasn't rooting for you as you galloped AWEN to the finish line and made it to the Miami Boat Show. Outremer should do more than offer a discount and dinner - you are a phenomenal brand ambassador for them. Keep up the amazing work and keep inspiring us all with your incredible journey!
Thank you so much for your thoughtful note. Stephane still haven’t seen all the videos and we are excited to watch during a rainy day. We are excited to continue the channel (but not every day). Also, Outremer in no way sponsored us, nor did we have a contract of any kind. We truly love the company and our boat.
@@SailingAWEN Yes, knew you were not sponsored or compensated in any way by Outremer but you are fantastic ambassadors for company. Others have been but I think the stories of AWEN and Great Circle have done much more for them than anyone.
Glad to see you guys back in the saddle. You actually passed a family member (S/V Full Disclosure) today as they were moving down to Norman's Cay. Edit - I just looked at Marine Traffic, and you are both in the same anchorage, near the sunken plane..
There's a song by Ray Charles “Moon Over Miami' it's perfect what y'all are doing. and this year was an 'El Niño' that ended w February with a brrrr. 🥶 Maybe y'all should get the electric tender because it always starts and it's silent but I'm sure it's pricey.
So great to see you back! And enjoying that beautiful machine in light winds. Winner! Mamma Bear in the morning is very cute. From a distance. Unless you're carrying a cup of coffee.
Thanks. Great vid. BUT…. if you have time could you please consider a longer narrative on the Miami experience? I mean we all invested so much hope in your race to the finish…. but how did that go? Was the show good? Did they detail the boat for you? Any warranty fixes? I know it’s a lot of work to compile a vid but if you are after suggestions…. that’s mine. 👍🏼😁 In any case…. Thanks for sharing your home and life. Fair winds.
Great questions! The boat show was good for Outremer, we talked to a lot of people. It felt a bit like we were working the booth but we weren’t. 😀 No real work done on it, aside from getting the engines serviced by Just Catamarans before we left for like a zillion dollars. The stop in Miami was really a commitment we made on our way to the Bahamas that turned into a deadline. Which is not what you are ever supposed to do sailing!!!
@@SailingAWEN I hope Outremer value your efforts and realise that potential customers will see your vids if they look for that boat. It’s such a beauty that it’s good that others get to see it. You don’t have to be bound to praise Outremer but generally the boat speaks for itself and that’s great marketing. Anyway…. we do appreciate your work into sharing this. Thanks.
Also, I'm curious if you could share your polars from your Octopus-Adrena software now with the variety of wind speeds and wind angles you've sailed now.
I saw you were sitting in Nassau for a while. Unless you are at a resort I've heard Nassau is not exactly a highlight of the Bahamas. Also, you should shout out Cole Brauer. 30,000nm in 130 days, solo. First solo-female American to circumnavigate via 3 capes, non-stop. she departed 2 weeks before you departed Legrand Motte and she arrived today. CRAZY!
lol, not required but he did need a bigger bandage than the video, that’s right after it happened. What wasn’t shown is him sitting on the coach roof underway right next to the boom to reach it. 🤦♀️🤦♀️
@@SailingAWENnot sure what size you run but I've had good luck with the Mercury 20 horsepower four-stroke with electric start, 110 lbs. One of the lighter ones out there, has good low-end torque, and the electric start is awesome. Glad to see you're back making videos, very much looking forward to more of them!
The way our friends on SV Velvet start their Yamaha 15hp 2 stroke it doesn't look necessary at all. He barely pulls on that cord and it starts, I was quite impressed.
Welcome back. Enjoy the Exumas. It is a beautiful place
Nice to see you two back at it, enjoy!
Love your Intro beat guys!👍
Great to see you guys are back!
So happy you're back!
You guys are looking great!
Do you have any sense of how frequently you may post video blogs?
More=better for all of us! 😅
Looove the Exumas.
We’ve missed you. Glad to have you back for some wonderful Exumas time.
Cool, that an SV Delos shirt Stephane? I've been watching you and Holly for a couple weeks and really like it.
Wise to decompress, although it’s great to have you back the Exumas will but fun and yes the cruising Comunity are the best❤
We love to have you back, ❤

GOOD TO SEE YOU BACK I HOPE EVERYTHING WENT WELL AT THE BOAT SHOW GRAHAM FROM AUSTRALIA
Superbe! Que de bons souvenirs pour moi!

Aaah.. you are back! Getting the popcorn and we are sitting down to watch on the big screen TV... Awesome!
Sweet.

We were waiting for some boat parts and doing our taxes 🤦♀️
Did Holly get to practice her pig feet sewing technique from Outremer week?

Mmme…very 1st world….but maybe worth adding electric start to lose the dinghy stress?
I 100% agree, that’s what I told Stephane. Any suggestions for good ones?

Didn’t you guys get any footage from Miami boat show 😔
Not really, we were focusing on being in the moment while we were there 😎we were at a lot of boat shows last year.
