Practice that since 1,5 years, it works great!
another thing you can use is soft plastic glue. I use mend-it, personally. it saves me tons on fixing soft plastics. you’ve also gotta be careful using a soldering tool on certain plastics. some of the materials just melt instead of fusing together.
So far we've melted even the hard plastic of tackle boxes & prop protectors back together... Haven't found any softbaits that didn't like the heat of the soldering tool, curious to know which ones you experienced it with

These lures have a high amount of phthalates, a group of hormone-disrupting compounds. It's used as a tool to make plastics softer for example. Be careful to avoid too much exposure, especially if you are a pregnant woman.
It's everywhere and most of the exposure comes from food intake and plastic packaging and wrapping.
It's one of the many reasons why levels of testosterone and sperm count have been declining in men during the last 50 years.
I really recommend watching the Dr. Shanna Swan episode of JRE who is an expert on this compound.

@@whitelabelfishing No joke. The 4D roach does have a nice menthol/new car type smell though so it can be tempting. I recognize it from my perfume making days but I can't remember the name of the specific compound.
