Very awesome to see this. Obviously the guy who started all of this is a Trekkie. Don't want to date myself, but I used to watch the syndicated series on TV as a kid, and I owned a Colorforms set. It was my generation that brought it back to popularity. Also got to meet the big guy himself once in STL MO at Wizard World Comicon and got a picture. Lasted about a minute, but a minute I will treasure.
This is so cool, Jordan! Having been to several Star Trek Conventions, I share your enthusiasm for Capt. James T. Kirk (and the crew of the Enterprise). Kinda neat to see a "historic" place where the "history" hasn't even happened yet!
How cool to go to the future and see the birthplace of Captain Kirk!! And in Iowa no less. In the heartland❤👍. Captains log....lol. I love all that you do Jordan. Your looking fabulous!!! Much love to you and Jah ❤❤❤🦁
Jordan your vlogs are so unique and your enthusiasm is what makes them very fascinating! I didn’t watch Star Trek, but I still watched your vlog because I knew you would still make it interesting. Kudos!
I love this vlog!! I have been a Trekker since Sept 8, 1966 when I first laid my eyes on William Shatner as Captain Kirk! I still love William Shatner who is 88 years old! I believe he is now living in Kentucky on his horse farm. My interest in science fiction, whether shows like in the Star Trek series or in literature, goes way back to my childhood. Thanks for showing us Riverside, Iowa!
Because of your great vlog this town will now become a major attraction to the world and will flourish and become a great city and live long and prosper, nice one Jordan.
Awesome AWESOME AWESOME!!! Big fan. Have gone to a lot of Star Trek conventions and met a lot of the actors. Love this. And I'm glad you bought Breck a souvenir. My heart goes out to him.
Hi Jordan, glad the snow has cleared a bit for you out there. I liked the 'Enterprise' on the floor in between the buildings. What a great little Museum AND FOR FREE, and what lovely signed photos of the cast. I did actually meet Walter Koenig who played 'Chekov' at a Memorabilia Fair years ago. The are some lovely little momentos from the series in the Museum. Great vlog Jordan.
Awesome ! Loved Star Trek. I remember when Spock's eyebrow would raise and Kirk would smile. William Shatner really has a way about him. Thanks Jordan, brings back a lot of memories. 💗
Great vlog!! I love The Shat! I used to get jealous of all the women he kissed on the show!!lol Thanks for the visit ,it was great fun Lion! You and Jah are my daily visit list!
Great Vlog again Jordan. 3 generations of Trekkies in our family. I realized it when I asked my older son to take out the garbage ,he pointed at his younger brother ,he's a "red shirt" he has less rank, he should be sent out after dark ,on the more dangerous trash runs....😆like Capt. Kirk always left a "red shirt", behind if they had to beam out of somewhere quick !
This is so over-the-top cool! Never knew this existed thank you for discovering it and sharing it with us. My sister and I were huge Star Trek fans and actually still are but nothing compares to the first series in my mind. I was lucky enough to get a job at Star Trek The Experience when it was running in Las Vegas. Can’t tell you how mind blowing it was to go to work every day on the Enterprise.
Hello Jordan! You got me!!! I'm a big Star Trek Fan and visited the Trek Fest on Riverside in 1993. It was fantastic that you went there. Thank you very much for showing this museum! LLAP from Puerto Rico.
Visited 06/26/22. Monument gone, no uss riverside, no museum. Glad you did the vlog. We could see where everything was. It was still fun trying to find Capt Kirk. Scotty must have beamed him up.
OMG! My big brother was such a big fan of this show and made me one too. I even gave him a Captain Kirk costume shirt for this past Xmas and found out he would have preferred one of Spock's shirts! I told him I would get him one this Xmas with Spock ears! Man I would love to own that collection of the original show but I see they were VHS! Thank you I will be sharing this vlog with my brother Craig!
“Get a life people! For crying out loud, it’s just a tv show. I mean, look at the way you’re dressed. You sir... you look about 30 years old. Have you ever kissed a girl before?”
Love this video. Such a great promotional idea for the town. Captain Kirk's future birthplace. They have a great little Museum there too. Enjoyed it immensely.
Great vlog. I am old enough to remember the premiere of the original Star Trek, my famourite personally. Keep up the GREAT work! From snowy Toronto, Live Long and Prosper!
Always been a fan of Star Trek and also of your Great Travel Vlog! Many years ago like around 1985 I drove a Yellow Cab in Indianapolis and as I was waiting for my next passenger at the airport who gets into my taxi? William Shatner! I was a little star struck but was able to drive him from the airport to the Indiana State Fairgrounds to meet his now wife who was at a horse show. Got to spent about 30 minutes with him one on one. Very nice man. Gave me a autograph and a $50.00 tip, I just wish I had a camera.
Hey Jordon - Keep your eyes open while your downthere in Riverside ! - For the imediate crew members of the Enterprise - Beaming down along with their Captain J T Kirk - Energising the birthday party down as a Birthday treat - For the Capt. - Showing him what riverside was like before he was born !!! Or maybe not ! Haha ! Thats a great video Jordan interesting about using the actors William Shatners birthday ! All the Very Best !
Ironically Jordon, the jacket you were wearing during this vlog looked like it could have been added to the Star Trek crew's uniform. Thank you for a great vlog. Please drive carefully on your travels.
Awesome vlog Jordan love watching your channel. The original Star Trek was before my time but still a very interesting vlog. By any chance do you plan on going to The Surf Ballroom in Clear Lake Iowa and The memorial marker of the plane crash site of Buddy Holly and Ritchie Valens and The Big Bopper while you are in Iowa?
I am rolling on the floor laughing. Im from Iowa Very smalll town Iowa. Redfield to be exact..Well.you have made it back in time as home always seems ablt behind times. Well it was a great up bringing. Hope you saw more of the state. John Waynes birthplace? Good for Iowa and thanks again Jordan
Well this was quantum-ly cool. I think that wooden carved statue is actually Con! Now, you know that when 2228 rolls around, somebody is gonna name their kid James Tybereous Kirk. Also, I’ve gotta tell you, one of your ads that RUclips puts in is Hallmark’s special preview of their Star Trek Christmas Ornaments, - talk about well placed product placement, sheesh!🤦♀️
Great vlog! Interesting factoid: Gene Roddenberry reportably first offered the spot of Capt. Kirk to be played by Jack Lord (star of Stoney Burke TV series in the early 1960's, and then Steve Mc Garrett in The Hawaii 5-0 TV series 1968-1980.) Jack Lord reportably wanted too much money, so Gene passed on the offer for Jack Lord.
Gene Roddenberry the creator of Star Trek's wife Majel Barrett plays nurse Christine Chapel in the original series and also plays the voice of the computer.
Can't believe they got the birth year wrong. Captain Kirk was born in 2233, that's been established in Star Trek lore. Clearly Roddenberry didn't even know his own creation.

Me too! :D :)

This was a fun vlog, Jordan! I was a big Trekkie fan in high school. Lots of cool Star Trek items in this town. Thanks for the tour!
I love how the whole town embraced this! It was nice that you mentioned that the high school even contributed by making the chair! Excellent video!

One of the funniest skits on SNL was the star Trek convention with Shatner.

Fun vlog! Cool for that town to do that. I wonder if William Shatner ever went to visit that town?
Jordan, you need to come to Ticonderoga New York a guy there build an exact replica of the 1701 set. It's really awesome to see.

That was great. Loved Star Trek and got to meet Leonard Nimoy.
His great great grand parents might actually be living in this town already. Wow!
Good point!!!
Gene Roddenberry the creator of Star Trek's wife Majel Barrett plays nurse Christine Chapel in the original series and also plays the voice of the computer.
How totally fun is this
I now have a reason to visit Iowa.🖖🏻
Live long and prosper 🖖
Jordan ..one to beam up!
Love our vlog
According to Wikipedia and official cannon and William Shatner himself, Captain James T. Kirk be born on March 22, 2233, not 2228. That sign is wrong.
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
How amazing a 3 year TV show made a empire. Personally I love it more than Star wars. Thumbs up!. Sorry Jordan I'm behind.
Can't believe they got the birth year wrong. Captain Kirk was born in 2233, that's been established in Star Trek lore. Clearly Roddenberry didn't even know his own creation.
Live long and prosper, "Lionhearts"!
I got to sit in the real Captains chair from the original series!
