You’ll remember these trips for a lifetime, way more than the actual “school” part. People saying you shouldn’t probably don’t understand the point-expanding horizons and seeing new cultures is learning too! Love the vlogs!

South Vietnamese style Pho usually has a richer broth that's less clear and sometimes more sweet/salty than northern Vietnamese pho. Pho in the north is usually more clear and light, especially in Hanoi. South Korea, and Germany have a lot of Vietnamese ppl from the north so most Vietnamese food there have more northern flavors btw

its my 1st time watching your video but. OMG you are literally the 1st tourist that did everything i would recommend when visiting HN (im hanoian btw) . Even the Ha Long bay and Ninh Binh tour, they are even my type of traveling, too. All the choice of food are correct ( except the last one, i dont like that either) bc i know these food are just a great start to try Vietnamese food, they are easy and nice to try. IF YOU GONNA VISIT VIETNAM SOON, PLEASE DO IT LIKE HER! i approved!!!
The Pho you had is NORTHERN PHO, which is completely different from CANADIAN/US PHO which is actually SOUTHERN VIETNAMESE PHO. South Vietnamese pho is more deep and complex flavors. we use herbs and sriracha and hoisin and bean sprouts while NORTHERN PHO is mainly scallions and lighter broth with aa side of garlic vinegar and maybe chili sauce and it tends to be more salty but light. I personally prefer SOUTHERN VIETNAMESE PHO VS the NORTHERN PHO :)
Hanoian Pho or Nam Dinh Pho for LIFE. Pho is in its best original tastes @ where it comes from, whether Hanoi & Nam Dinh. In facts the Northerners brought Pho from the North to the South in 1954 and people in the South made the second hand version for Pho. No one says pizzas in NYC are better than pizzas in Naples. It's your own taste but FACTS remain FACTS. Northerners have their own rich culture it's super diverse from the Northern mountains, midland, lowland to the sea, and you all Southerners borrow a lot their culture and then claim as yours.

Not usually richer, southern ppl just love to add alot of sweet herbs that give off that fake "rich" taste. Try northen Pho and you'll think twice!
