1:42 I just need to emphasize how funny this was in the modding discord server. Angryzor had been AFK for a few months. He came back, saw someone mention something like "Other characters are impossible in cyberspace", literally said "hang on lemme fix this rq", came back a few hours later with fully working characters. Something people was convinced was impossible for half a year, he fixed in like two hours.
What I also really like about this mod is that this makes them fully functional in the open zone too. Originally with the hmm code for character switcher, if they did anything they weren’t programmed to do, the game would crash. For example, if you try bouncing off like a laser in the sumo fight, it would crash but now with this mod, that doesn’t happen now
Cyberspace became the best thing about frontiers for me after update 2 dropped, i was so sad to see the other characters weren't playable in cyberspace and only in that specific island
Out of everything in this game I believe Cyberspace is its most valuable feature. It's probably the single most unique thing in Frontiers. What other game has integrated traditional Sonic levels as SIDE content? It's a wild concept

The mod was also called "Welcome Back to Pumpkin hill" when i started it, so yeah it was meant to feel like a revisit to the zone
I know it's a lot to ask for considering what they're already doing but I would love to see non-vanilla assets in Equinox similar to Bridge Island. Other than that I'm drooling all over the floor thinking of an entire new island's worth of stuff.
@@DolphynsDeck they're apparently planning on using death egg from sonic forces in the place of sky sanctuary, apparently SS is way too hard to get working. something to do with the foliage.

frontiers character modding being at the level of gens character mods would be peam we could have new characters but now they would come with their own original movesets, imagine a playable silver, or blaze or even something crazy like goku or mario
Mario with a moveset would be the silliest and coolest thing ever I hope the Shadow moveset mod gets finished and makes waves through the community. Would be cool to see what it inspires
That and performance. There's a whole range of systems that can run this game in 60fps whereas on console you only get that 'privilege' if you have a PS5 or Series X. Everything is so hard to control on 30
Also, I actually don’t really like the idea of switching between characters on the fly unless it’s a specific mode. It makes it feel less authentic when you can just switch between them like they can just teleport in and out. What the hell? I would prefer it if it’s more like sonic heroes where the other characters are running alongside you but you switch between who you control. But then again, and dream team I didn’t have an issue with it.
When playing on my own I tend to use one at a time but for the sake of a showcase it felt convenient to switch depending on the scenario. It'd be interesting to see an animation swap that has all the models in a Heroes formation. Highly unrealistic amount of work though.

I’m a big fan of options, so if the ability to do so as an option is something I would be satisfied with. And again…. Dream Team. I think in the DLC in open zone it woulda been useful. But I also take slight issue with all the characters being fast with the boost and being able to do all of Sonic’s moves. As far as fan projects go, I consider it to be a fairly impressive.

Spindash being just as busted on everyone is a little ehh... Max running speed is significantly higher on Sonic too, it's a nice touch. Dream Team's character swapper is a no-brainer though, good feature (slow menu though).

It is! I tested it out during the final tower climb in the DLC, he couldn't reach the same places Sonic could :)

that was really only an issue on treasure hunter knuckles, most mods have it removed at this point. i think that knux mod is just an old one
