    Thank you so much PD, a Word from The Lord of the Sabbath through you. Thank you for being obedient. Friends have put pressure on me to not keep the Sabbath, but rather keep a Sunday church day. I prayed to our Heavenly Father and your teaching is the assurance HE has given me. I will continue to rest on the Sabbath and seek His gift of rest and the Holy Spirit, having faith in The Lord of the Sabbath. Amen brother PD! Shalom

      When the world wants or NEEDS you to do like them. To fit in with the world, it's anti-Christ period. It's anti-biblical too. The bible says that the devil will be so subtle, so devious that he will trick even the believers, if possible. The bible says 'if it were possible' in English which sounds definite. If it were possible but it's just if possible. That possible will be up to you and your truth in the Father and the testimony of the Son. Revelation says they that keep the commandments and have the testimony of Jesus... and the faith of Jesus.

    Interesting..when I was just starting to understand Shabbat I was sitting at my desk actually doing a word study on Shabbat. While studying I looked up and my neighbor was on a ladder 🪜 up in his tree trying to cut branches with a chainsaw by himself. The Holy Spirit clearly instructed me “go help him my son”.
    This also showed me the danger ⚠️ of men’s traditions and how far the flesh can take something that God made for good. Where a person could actually watch someone potentially hurt themselves to “keep” Shabbat.
    Yeshua is the substance and Master of Shabbat! I love sitting at his feet everyday and especially on the 7th day Shabbat. It’s so rich on Shabbat to enter that blessed and Holy day. Families assemble, parents and children learning together, reading the scriptures, praying, singing songs and hymns and share a meal. The gift is remarkable and has changed my family and other families forever
    Love YAH and love your neighbor as yourself ❤️‍🔥.
    Taste and see YAH is good!

      Isaiah 58 begins with telling His people their transgression. This transgression is concerning fasting. Then the Lord reasons with what kind of fast is acceptable. Towards the end of His reasoning with multiple promises attached to reinforce His way of fasting, He ties His type fasting in with the Sabbath. Could it be that keeping the Sabbath Day Holy is a day that is absent of self? Is it a day that we are to collectively study and display what the Love of God is not only to those who believe, but also to those who don’t believe or don’t know our God? What did Jesus do on the Sabbath? Should we walk as He walked especially on the Sabbath Day? Since God, who is Love, is Holy; to Love is the fulfillment of the Law and the Law itself is Holy; then is keeping the Sabbath Day Holy a day in which His people worship and revere what Love is i.e. who our God is to a lost and broken world? And through this we are able to minister the needs to the lost and broken by word and deed of the saving grace through Jesus Christ our Lord, revealing what His Love is by fasting from self thus being a selfless people being a light unto the world as He is the light of the world? Is this how we call the Sabbath a delight, the Holy Day of the Lord honorable?

      Great testimony, truly. I see you say and write Yah. You still believe in the name Yeshua? I'm not being rude but let me suggest to you something. Look at how Joshua's name was before Moses changed it. English renders it Hosea now but it's also been Osee, Osea, Hoshea, and Usha. Heh, vav, shin, ayin... Then the men were sent to spy or explore the land. When they came back only Caleb and Joshua gave the correct answer. By having true faith in Yah they said "We are well able to defeat them." The others said no, we can't. So as a reward and a sign and a foreshadowing, Moses gives Joshua the name of the Father by adding yod to the front of those letters. The first time the English renders it, they say Yeho-shua. Why didn't they call him Oshua but said Osee, Oshea, Hoshea, Hosea? Because Yeshua is yod, SHIN, vav, ayin. Shin, vav, ayin is Hebrew for shua. Shua means to cry out(as for help) or opulence. The wife of Judah's parent's name was Shuah, a caananite. So Yeho is supposed to mean Yah-weh but why do they still render it Yeho-shua? Why do they ALWAYS see yod, heh, vav as Yahu in every other name in the bible except 'God', Joshua, Jesus, and Jonathan. Just those names. Now they all say Yah-weh is correct now. So why are the three but actually 2 other names still represented Yeho or Ye-? How did Yeho-shua yod, heh, vav, shin, ayin get gutted into yod SHIN vav ayin? That means they gutted the name of the Father for grammatical convenience like a nickname the scholars would say but would anyone in their culture ever GUT the name of the Father to fit grammatical rules that His name doesn't follow at all? Would the Son of Yah come to take a completely butchered name of the Father because it was convenient or would He take the name of His Father who is in heaven, properly? Without derogatory insult might I add. Yeho-shua would literally mean Yah cries out or opulence is Yah. They say it means Yah is salvation but shin, ayin is -sha which means to save. Shin, vav, ayin means to cry out(for help). Yeshua doesn't mean salvation. Y'sh'a means salvation. Like YashaYahu which is Isaiah's name in Hebrew. They say Yeshua is a feminine proper noun that means salvation. A feminine, proper name, that's really an adjective? Ee-ay-sus in Greek and they say if it were Yahusha the Greek would have spelled it differently. Yeah because if it were Ee-ay-sah that makes more sense, no it doesn't sound like Eey-ah-oo-sha which in English is best spelt Yahusha. The understanding of Yeshua comes from Hebrew religious scholars. I get that people like to stay in their comfort zone. I've had people tell me that the Father whispered to them Yeshua or the Holy Spirit told them Yeshua was correct. Hebrew niqqudoth wasn't added until post 2nd century and really no examples until the 9th century. The majority of Theological scholars are drunk with the wine of Babylon. Just something to think about and check it out for yourself. I rejected it for years. I prayed about it a lot because it bothered when I saw Yahusha or Yahuah so I'd spend a few hours a day looking for videos proclaiming Yahusha or Yahuah and I would 'prove' it wasn't correct. It bothered me so much that I had to have definitive truth. The day I learned shua meant to cry out(for help) is what changed my mind. I've someone say "well, if it is short for Yah cried out, it must mean from the cross. So therefore it was a foreshadow. It doesn't answer why Joshua was rewarded with it. He was rewarded because he had faith that Yah saves or will save. Yahusha also has theological implications some people can't handle. It's now a name the Messiah carried saying Yahuah saves, instead of it being a name of His own self salvation or being the salvation. Nice testimony, I appreciate it.

    I thought of how the man caught picking up sticks on Sabbath was ordered to be stoned. Why then, were the man who took his dad's wife and the woman, not to be stoned? Mercy, was the answer I received. I consider the grace of GOD and the patience that we may be redeemed from sins, is so wonderful a thing.

    Just a fyi: the people at cumron referred to themselves as the “Priests of the house of Zadok and their allies” the Essenes dwelled over 60 miles below cumron in the western side of the area of engedi. Check it out and you will see for yourself- the Dead Sea Scrolls reveal this information. Rachel Elior thoroughly discusses this information! I’m afraid that the “archeologists” have commingled the writings of the Essenes with those of the cumron community 🤔

    Nice! One differing point re: carrying load in/out of your house on the Sabbath. See Jer 17:19-22. I take this to mean confirming the rest from carrying a HEAVY load (in contrast to how the Essenes may read this as lifting anything at all). The clarification comes from Yeshua who confirms that the man can carry a bed-roll/sleeping mat. In practice, I observe this as no heavy lifting chores on the Sabbath. Of course, this excludes helping others/animals in a pinch.
    Thus the LORD said to me: “Go and stand in the gate of the children of the people, by which the kings of Judah come in and by which they go out, and in all the gates of Jerusalem;20. and say to them, ‘Hear the word of the LORD, you kings of Judah, and all Judah, and all the inhabitants of Jerusalem, who enter by these gates.21. Thus says the LORD: “Take heed to yourselves, and bear no burden on the Sabbath day, nor bring it in by the gates of Jerusalem;22. nor carry a burden out of your houses on the Sabbath day, nor do any work, but hallow the Sabbath day, as I commanded your fathers.

      I agree with you, as Jeremiah wrote. What I highlight as problems with the Essenes are that they (1) prohibited lifting any weight at all (even "dust"), and that they (2) prohibited lifting any weight for the sake of saving life.

    Do you think having a day of Rest on Sunday rather then Friday evening-Saturday evening is beneficial in the same way? Going back to what you said of putting burdens on ourself that aren’t necessary. Sunday is the day that best works for us. But, I know that The Lord has a specific day for Sabbath as well.
    On Sundays we do go to church and come home to have a meal that’s been mostly prepared the night before, and have some family over. We mostly hang out and rest, then go to our small church group. It’s the best day for us to fully rest! But I know it isn’t the actual Sabbath day set aside. Just wondering yours, and others thoughts

    • @RiseOnFire
      @RiseOnFire  8 месяцев назад

      Resting or attending fellowship on Sunday (or any other day) can be great. But it does not replace the instruction to keep the 7th day holy. If you have a typical job (not life giving like doctors, fire men, etc.) then it would be wrong to continue ordinary labor on Saturday.
      Jesus has a burden, for us to obey Him. But as He said, His burden is light. Why? Because when we obey, we receive incredible blessings, and weight is lifted.
      If you are someone who by necessity must work on Saturday because you are preserving lives through your occupation, then catching up on rest on other days is good. You can continue to keep the Sabbath holy as far as possible, by not going to restaurants, not shopping, etc.

  • @annyletters4628
    @annyletters4628 8 месяцев назад +1

    They are three kind of Sabbaths, the new moon, the feast sabbaths (in the sessional week festivals) and the Sabbath of rest, always the seventh 4 in one Month. Jesus healed the withered hand on a Sabbath, it had to be a feast Sabbat a holy assembly not a sabbath of rest. The disciples pickt grain on a new moon sabbath day, also to check on the aviv Barley. Jesus Mission was on a Shemita, that means they was allowed to eat from the fields.

  • @InterwebUser-ps7ju

    I observe the sabbath but my question is If someone had to work because they need to feed their children pay rent and had to do it on a Saturday wouldn’t it count that Jesus said “Is it lawful to do good on the sabbath days, or to do evil? to save life, or to kill?” Isn’t it lawful to do good? Isn’t feeding your children good? Isn’t keeping them alive good? Just a thought.

    • @RiseOnFire
      @RiseOnFire  6 месяцев назад

      If their job doesn't permit them to rest on the Sabbath, hopefully they are actively searching for a job that allows them to take off the 7th day - so they may transition to keep the commandment holy. God will make a way if we earnestly seek it. It is typically possible to feed your children, and keep them alive, by working on the other 6 days of the week. There are certain exceptions Jesus makes with occupations that bring life, I am not addressing them here.

Very important to find in this end times we are for some more times to reject the mark of the beast. (2Thes 2;2) To go out of Babylon (Rev 18). In this man made Roman calendar, Saturday ore Sunday are most unclean workdays. To find the true Sabbath of rest we have to relearn the creators calendar. 📖 Ezk 44;23 !!!

    PD Vander Westhuizen, I appreciate you and what you teach… however. at 3:55 you mentioned the word, “Gentile”, which is a Latin made up word. Does the Damascus Scroll really use that word? I think not. It more likely uses the word, “גוים” “goyim” which literally means “nations”, not pagans, heathens or whatever the Romans in their anti-Semitic translations say. Also, are you sure that those people who lived in the community of Qumrun and who referred to themselves as “followers of The Way” and “Sons of Light” and “Natsarenes” and who referred to the Pharisees as “Sons of Darkness” ever called themselves Essenes? I believe the Essenes also lived on the western shores of the Dead Sea, but further south at Ein Gedi.
