Another awesome video. I love watching your videos because you explain, show & sew the garment. And you have been accessible for questions, too. You really have a complete video for teaching. I appreciate that.❤. Thank you for all your hard work in all the many tasks you do to make this look easy and doable.
Karina this is beautiful. I think your Mum would like this one as well from the outfits I see you make from her. Especially the blouse. My mum would love it as well!🥰🤗 Absolutely beautiful well done!
Both such beautiful tops. I bought the pattern so I really appreciate your instructions about the neckline and the twist cuff. You are very generous in showing the sewing and technique, I am a big fan of the tacking before doing the sewing now.
Oh why did I not re-watch this before doing the neckband?? I totally forgot hand stitch. Oh well it is turning out well. I am going to make a sign for my sewing room - Karina - hand stitch!!
Karina, I really like these two makes! Each is beautiful in their own way and I love both fabrics! Thanks again for moving your hair (yes, I am serious-lol) and how you slowed the video down a bit so i could take in what you did as you modeled. Being able to see you move with the garment on gives me an extra lesson on the fabric, movement and lay as you have spoken about it many times. I am also enjoying your SOUND! All the details are sincerely appreciated here! :) Bravo!!
Well explained - in the little details too - and providing a reason “why” certain techniques are done is equally important when teaching - well done you. I look forward to browsing your previous tutorials and future ones.
Love the red top - it’s the fabric that makes it. The finish is so good. I can’t seem to find the gorgeous fabrics that are available to you. Also those I do find are wickedly expensive. If any of Karina’s followers in the uk knows of good fabric outlets/shops, please let me know. Off to buy both patterns now. 👍
Glad you enjoyed it. I'm just so happy to have it. I try to combine with outside footage where possible. For this one, it was almost sunset, so I was able to film the section showing the makes there before rushing back inside.
I actually woke up this morning thinking about bindings on stretch fabrics - very sad I know! Love your tutorials, they are so detailed and clear - thank you from Oz.
Hi Karina I'm working my way through all your videos as they are so good. I just used your affiliate link with Love Notions to buy their rhapsody top which is on Friday Feature sale today. I do hope the links work and you gain something. Thank you again for your great work. Maree, Sydney, Australia
I love your sews! How awesome is that broderie knit. And yet again, funny little sewing habits that we share that always make me chuckle... like the normal pencil dipped in water.
I love both tops, they look great on you. Personally for me I'd prefer not to do the twist, but I do love how it looks. Thank you for this tutorial. I do love the neckband. I will try that on some of my makes.
I do like the neck technique and wonder why I hadn't thought of that myself. lol Your tops look great on you. I think this pattern could be adapted to a woven. I will give it a try. I have a few 1 meter pieces in my stash that would make nice summer tops. Thanks for the video as always.
They both look so good! I immediately thought this top would make a great tee for me to wear when I walk in the morning with my dog. It gets really hot in the summer here, and humid and I need loose tops but I like to be covered. I can see both your tops with a cute Jean skirt or even jeans. Thank you Karina! You always inspire me!
Both tops look great and thank you for another brilliant, easy to follow tutorial. You have such a great attention to detail and explain everything so well. It makes me feel that I can achieve a professional looking garment like yours. Btw - you look amazing in your monochromatic red outfit - it’s definitely your colour❤️
Both are lovely, but the red one is gorgeous on you. I’m not really a fan of the twisted cuff, I think I’ll try both other options. Great video, as always 👏🏻👏🏻. Thanks again 👍🏻❤️
This is so oversized this pattern might work with woven as well, maybe? Hm. Great pattern. I'm definitely picking this one up. I could really use some jazzy new tees.
When you did the top stitching around the neckline did you use a straight stitch or the narrow zigzag? I like the overall look of the wide band finish.
I do have one question about the video, you showed what needle you used on your sewing machine, but do you change out your serger needle to jersey knit?
I guess I should finish my thoughts. I am still learning how to use my serger. I am shocked because we spend so much time matching our sewing needles to the fabric, but with a serger, it has only universal needles. Who would have guessed.
When you hand based the neckband why didn’t you hand sew from the inside where you can be sure to see if you have picked it up instead of keep switching back and forward to check🤷🏻♀️
Because I want to make sure I’m basting in the exact place where I will top stitch from the right side. I want it to look neat from the front where it will be visible. If I did it from the inside I would still be flipping to see the right side…. Just from the other side. There usually is a reason to why I do things and it makes sense to me 😀
you look beautiful in your new outfit....red is definitely your color!

Deb Dion The color is fabulous along with your shoes its my favorite color to wear.
Karina this is beautiful. I think your Mum would like this one as well from the outfits I see you make from her. Especially the blouse. My mum would love it as well!🥰🤗 Absolutely beautiful well done!
Gorgeous tops, and the blue looks so nice with your tight gym pans, supper nice. ❤️🌹❤️🌹
Thank you, Karina. Well done!
You’re so welcome 😀
Love the red one, but also LOVE the blue!
Thanks 😀😀
Both such beautiful tops. I bought the pattern so I really appreciate your instructions about the neckline and the twist cuff. You are very generous in showing the sewing and technique, I am a big fan of the tacking before doing the sewing now.
Thank you! Your conscientious basting gives your superior results! I am learning!
It’s always worth it 😀😀
Beautiful outfit !
The outfit looks amazing love your tutorials i always learn new techniques your very clear to understand thank you
The outfit looks great on you. Great instructions.
The burgandy outfit looks wonderful on you. "Red" is your color! The navy and white tee is beautiful as well. Thank you for all of your hard work.
Oh why did I not re-watch this before doing the neckband?? I totally forgot hand stitch. Oh well it is turning out well. I am going to make a sign for my sewing room - Karina - hand stitch!!
I love both tops but the navy one is my favourite.
Thank you so much 😀
Looks great on you. Great work, the extras you do making your garments is so worth it.
I made my first Carefree tee today and decided to size down like you. What a great idea. Turned out great.
Great Job! Thank you!😀😀😀
The perfect tee! Love that red fabric on you ❤️
LOVE these shirts! I love the sleeve and fabric of the navy one. Perfect!🪡🧵🪡🧵
Yepp, red is so good on you :-) Great tee-pattern. Thanks for your tips on fabrics.
Beautiful as always. Stay safe
I just bought the pattern - and three others! Thank you!
Love all your sew alongs. You are such an easy person to learn from.
So glad to help :)
Love the wide binding. I want to try it.
Super cute! love it and thank you for sharing. Love your channel.
Great video! The hand basting is key! ♥️
An outstanding video. The method you used to the neck banding is one I will use too.

The hair gets in the way but I really can't tie it up, unless I want a migraine. Thanks for the encouragement :)
@@LiftingPinsandNeedles You did great!!!
I have already sewn up this pattern; Love it; it turned out great! I really like your monochromatic burgandy look. Awesome!
Well explained - in the little details too - and providing a reason “why” certain techniques are done is equally important when teaching - well done you.

I love this top and bought it today!

Fabrics are so different everywhere. There are some types that I can't find here too.
Great instructions. Great job on your new filming space. Always enjoyable. Thanks

I just got this top. I think I will be making a few of these! Thanks.
Morning Karina, thank you for another fantastic video. Just bought both patterns from your link. Have a great day. Val❤️🇨🇦🇬🇧
Wonderful! have fun making them :)
Love how the two hems match up, and how great they two patterns and materials look together!
Thanks 😀😀😀
Both are lovely. I think I'll make one in a stretch broderie anglais too. Thank you for the idea. I like the wider neckband too.
I'm always on the lookout for this type of fabric, it's so nice! I found some in yellow but its not my colour sadly.
Ordered Done! Thankyou. I love this style with the relaxed fit. It’s a smarter look than a tshirt.
I agree. It's nicer than the typical tee.
I actually woke up this morning thinking about bindings on stretch fabrics - very sad I know! Love your tutorials, they are so detailed and clear - thank you from Oz.
not sad, lol! I dream about them ha ha
Not sad, no way. The workings of a creative mind.

The pencil 😀it’s the best way to mark on dart fabric and a dot on the edge works amazingly 😀😀
The reds matched so well it looked like we were wearing a dress in some of the shots.
I love both tops, they look great on you. Personally for me I'd prefer not to do the twist, but I do love how it looks. Thank you for this tutorial. I do love the neckband. I will try that on some of my makes.
The regular cuff is there too. It’s great to have options :)

Looks amazing on you , definitely youth colour, I love it! ❤️❤️❤️
Thank you so much

Thanks so much 😊 I've been told red is my color since I was a child, so I believe it :) I also feel amazing in red.
Your videos are always good. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for watching :)
Not sure about the twist cuff. Both are well executed. Hand basting makes a difference.
There’s the regular cuff too. That’s why it’s great to have options.
Both are lovely, but the red one is gorgeous on you. I’m not really a fan of the twisted cuff, I think I’ll try both other options. Great video, as always 👏🏻👏🏻. Thanks again 👍🏻❤️
The twist cuff is a little edgy and I'm drawn to that but the regular cuff is nice too :)
Very nice video. inspiring me to stitch one
You'll love it :)
Thanks for this amazing video. I wasn’t sure I needed another t-shirt pattern but obviously I did 😁
This is so oversized this pattern might work with woven as well, maybe? Hm. Great pattern. I'm definitely picking this one up. I could really use some jazzy new tees.
I think a drapey woven would work :)
@@LiftingPinsandNeedles Yay! Thank you! I have a rayon blend I'm going to try it with.
You find such nice fabrics. I won’t be doing the twisted cuff though. Can’t wait to make one or two this week!
There0s the regular cuff too. It's great to have options. I usually like the edgy options.
you are amazing
When you did the top stitching around the neckline did you use a straight stitch or the narrow zigzag? I like the overall look of the wide band finish.
I used a twin needle :) a narrow zigzag would work too.
Wonderful, as always. But I need that red/burgundy fabric. Where did you get it?
I buy all my fabric in Brazil. It’s where I live. I can’t link to my fabrics.
What is this dipping a coloring pencil into water technique. You should do a video on that. Never heard of it.
I do have one question about the video, you showed what needle you used on your sewing machine, but do you change out your serger needle to jersey knit?
I use a universal needle on my serger and it’s ok for anything :)
@@LiftingPinsandNeedles shocking but good to know. Thanks for the response 😊
