Super stoked you got the wagon. Your videos convinced me to buy my 05 E55 wagon two years ago. Got it from the original owner. Black as well. Keep up the great videos.
Just a friendly tip. For heat shrinking, a cheap harbor freight heat gun is amazing value for money and makes life way easier. Baring that, don’t heat the heat shrink in the middle of the yellow part of the flame. If you have room heat it just barely above the point of the flame. The heat is much more focused there so the heat shrink will contract much quicker meaning less of a chance of a burnt thumb!

I make sure I never miss a vid since I've sub'd to your channel over a year ago. What makes your channel stand out is your philosophy of building a sleeper; keeping it as stock looking as possible; like I've done with all my builds since '85 with my 72 LeSabre GS & 79 550HP Cordoba. This just gave me some gnarly ideas for my mid-engine conversion. As soon as this quarantine here in Il is called off, I'd like to come up and pick your brain; naturally in exchange for that I'll throw my back in to help on any of your projects.
I came here for all the AMG goodness and stayed for all the elephants in the room.👍😅 Thanks again for spending your time to make these awesome videos.🙏 Have a great weekend, Alex.
So happy you didn't abandon your E55 content Alex! Regarding the intercooler pump, my understanding is that once the pump starts after a quick stab on the pedal, it continues to run until the car is shutdown, making the wiring mod unnecessary. Do you know for sure?
Hey, Alex, I have an idea !, I recon if you take all the doors off and the tailgate off you might just get the 0-60 time down to 3.5 sec but then again the weight reduction could well backfire ! and cause you more traction issues instead !... Shame there wasn't a "4matic" all wheel drive option on the w211 E55 just like my mom's w211 2003 E500 with the 5.0 un-supercharged version of the m113 engine has. An 4matic e55 AMG would be so cool bro 👍👍👍

First time I watched a LSC video on my tv at home (normally it’s on my phone during slow periods during a shift, don’t judge). Looks awesome! Since this car is on the channel it’s obvious (to me) Alex has way more fun, you can tell he’s really enthusiastic about the W211. Keep it up!
Very cool Alex! I definitely think you’re gonna get to 3.5 when the sun is shining and the asphalt is hot. It’s a good day for me, I just picked up a 2011 C63 with the Development Package and limited slip rear! I had a new 2009 C63 with the performance package and really missed it after I upgraded to my E63. I love the m156, it’s like crack for my ears!
Your videos get me in such a good mood, no matter what the topic of the day is. I don't know how you do it and I don't want to know. Please keep on the excellent work. And a big thank you to you!
When doing heat shrink for that kind of application, I also like to add a bit of silicon before shrinking it in order to seal it from any moisture. I guess it depends on where you live, but from where I'm from, if you don't do it, it will only last a couple of winters before severe corrosion sets in and you risk running into trouble. I also, once upon a time, found heat shrink tubing that had a sealant already in it.
Hey Alex, nice vid as always. Please list in more detail which parts you are using. VRP heat exchanger - okay. VRP Superflo pump? - I assume yes, as this is what you used in the sedan. Why no secondary heat exchanger while you are at it? To be honest, I was pretty disappointed about the fit and design of the SHE from VRP. If I sold this, I would immediately make multiple design changes and include some proper fit hoses for real drop in fit. Same with the pump and brackets, which are easy enough to make, but why not include them? And finally I would probably also include a smaller direct fit horn. By the way, I do not like solder connections and would always go with properly crimped ones and self sealing waterproof crimp connectors. Cheers, Tadek
Really need to put some heat in those radials. Why didn't you do a burnout? And what pressure are you running in them? Want to run about 20psi, but no less than 18psi.
Hey Alex, did you try a burnout before the launch, looks like its gained a lot more torque, so now its most likely having trouble laying the power down. The other expensive option, is to go even more wider drag radials for better traction. All the best mate, I'm tuned in to your channel as always.
I've always wanted an E55 and your vids helped push me over the edge to get my black 2006. I'm gonna ricer mine with that intake as well. I need to hear some whine especially after my mods. The purists in the forums are gonna hate me 🤷🏾♂️🤷🏾♂️🤣🤣.
BMW #335i. Out if interest, keen to get a e55 one day and liked the idea of putting the old school style supercharger snorkel on. Like just half the circles popping outvthe bonnet. Has that been done?

Alex I love your channel and just bought my third Benz, 2003 e500 after you praised it as good reliable car. Just wanted to ask you about the SBC brakes as I've seen conflicting information. If SBC fails while you're driving, is it possible that you end up with no braking power whatsoever? Really would want to hear it from great Mercedes specialist and trustworthy person as yourself. Thanks in advance!
You have much more grip with better Summer UHP tires. For example Michelin , Goodyear, Pirelli, Hankook S1 evo2, ... . I think good tires are not so necessary in the US, cause of the Speedlimit. Here in Europe are good tires essential.
I had the needswings one on my e55 although many state its a hot air intake the air just doesn't stay in that intake long enough to heat up. Its literally sucking in air soo quick it has no chance to heat up. I think it looks cool it may flow a little better but I never tested HP and TQ numbers before and after just IAT's and for me it stayed the same as the stock airbox. On mine I didnt hear a difference as far as blower sound but a bit more hissing from that intake. I think just like you said more for looks then anything else.

But you know that if you once owned a mercedes you wont find the same "thing" in other makes. So, you still didnt have V12. Buy S65 (W220) from copart and work on it. Or CL65 (215). Or go for newer W221/W216. Cheers!
Hi there Alex, I hope you are doing great. Dear Alex, I have a problem with my Mercedes E350 2008 4matic that I really need your help to find out what is the problem with it. So as you remember you once did a repair to your Mercedes black diesel on the transmission's valve body and in the beginning of the video, you said that there is a weird thing happening with rpm drops when the car is cold and the problem goes away once it gets hot, so the same problem is happening to my mercedes the rpm drops like your diesel when it colds and gets away the moment it gets hot. Did you find the solution to this problem? If yes please can you reply to my comment or do a video about it ? Thank you so much.
