Really unfortunate you didn't properly read the text of that summon request. It's actually part of Anri of Astora's Quest line. It's her that has put the sign there. I think this probably spells the end of your interactions with her, sadly. Could've made for some very interesting developments later on.
Been a while since I played DS3 and kinda forgot how much of a pushover Aldrich is. Sure, it can kill you in the blink of an eye if you're not careful but other than that arrow attack, it really just sits there waiting to be killed. Kinda disappointing really because the concept of a gods devouring horror is pretty cool. The person Aldrich puppets is actually a character from DS1 (one you haven't met) which hits different for those who know and remember. I kinda like its design in that you can really see that this character is not the one controlling the boss but is rather just a meat puppet.
Just a heads up: mimicry is the act of disguising oneself or pretending to be something else. The chest monster you call that are actually just called mimics.
Man, I really love the Irithyll dungeon. Sure, it's very frustrating to navigate and the heal drain ability the Jailors use seems very random but really, I think that only contributes to the oppressive, spooky atmosphere of the place.
Also, it's always fun to see let's players die once or twice and the dungeon surely delivers; just like the spider dog thing up in the castle. You actually killed one of these before in the cathedral of the deep. Pretty cheesily too, you shot it through a doorway it couldn't pass through.
I think it's a shame you never use your magic anymore. I think many of your confrontations with the Jailors would have gone much better had you sniped them with soul arrows. Now with pyromancy, you tend to get into brawling range and thus forfeit a few large advantages. Sure, the boulder is a massively powerful, unbalanced spell, but don't forget the simpler ones that may well save you some headache.

I really thought the cooperation thing was a summon thing for multiplayer. I was fooled lol and I’ll get back to using spells, I was just feeling the need for some good ole fashion hands on combat.
