Interested to hear your thoughts on this one, the house as a whole is one that I don't get along with. None that I have tried have impressed me enough for the price they ask 🍀
Thank you for your review. I have to say I was so excited about this fragrance when I read up about it. Plus all the prestige and price. Unfortunately I was very disappointed. Nice fresh notes for the first hour after application. No longevity. Disappeared into a dull nothing after that .Glad I only ordered a 1ml sample. My analogy- like a very expensive firework that just goes up and sparkles for a bit before falling to the ground.
Thanks for the review! I enjoyed a sample of the one called feminine and the masculine wore me so powerful on skin. Hope you're well and not getting a cold🤗❤
I enjoy it, I prefer the masculine to the feminine version. I wouldn't buy it though, just because there's stuff I'd rather spend my money on. I was lucky enough to be given quite a bit of CC's stuff so I wear it quite regularly.
Hi! I watched a video you made today on Bond No. 9 Eau de New York. You said it smelled like laundry detergent. I was wondering what citrus fragrances you would recommend that do not have that cheap artificial citrus detergent smell? I am open to both high and low end.
Abel - White Vetiver, uses Lime and a very clean wearable vetiver note. Very fresh - Another good one is Pomelo Paradis by Atelier Cologne, which is a rounded soft graepfruit like note with an amber base.
FragranceView thanks for the reply. I will look into those. Pomelo Paradis sounds so nice, I hear it has bad performance though. There doesn’t seem to be a grapefruit fragrance that lasts more than 1 hour. So sad.
Lol Eau De New York does not smell like laundry detergent (USA detergents at least). It's beautiful neroli oldschool Italian barbershop type of scent. It's actually my favorite from the house of Bond. Get a sample and try it for yourself first.
I know it has detractors, but I actually really like it. Classic, classy and uplifting, although you do need to reapply half way through the day to give it a boost. Price is outrageous though 🤙
@@FragranceView It sits firmly in the middle tier for me, nice but not standout, which is why the price is questionable. My wife likes it though, so that’s always a bonus!
Best of the batch as far as CC goes. Dapper Fragrances has a stellar clone of this for a ridiculously small FRACTION of the cost. For those not rolling in the Benjamins. lol
They capital on the brand name for bigger profits, but just trying to describe the way it smells without going into the politics of all that - I wouldn't buy it either
@@FragranceView yes that is the most honest way. But I think it would be better to not even give these brands time. You are a respected reviewer en nose. With you saying something is good people might actually think the whole brand is good.
I've been interested in perfumery since I read the book perfume. I'm sure you guys have seen it the movie or read the book. I've even thought of becoming an ambergris Hunter just because I want to get into perfumery. What's some good beginner videos to even start from someone who knows nothing about the subject. Thanks :-)
T.i sent me here after watching his video on the ten things he can’t live without.
I watched that video also

Absolutely true
yeah I wouldn't be spending that kind of $$$ on it, they charge a lot for the brand image rather than quality of perfumery
Totally agree 👍 I've yet to try one that i really enjoy
It's do expensive that I turned to clones. Some clones smell identical for a fraction of the price.

If you won't buy it, why are you even here?
@@notthisguyagain8557 Because I'm interested in perfume.
@@coelacanth9311 I'm interested in cars, but I don't look at videos of Toyota Corolla and then say I'm not going to buy it.
@@notthisguyagain8557 So you've bought some of this perfume?
@@coelacanth9311 I'm in the market of buying this parfume. You aren't. So again why are you even here? 😂
The only clive christian I really like is rock rose but the audacity of the brand is so off putting.
I ordered a sample once it was the female version accidentally but it was bubblebathy so how's this from that?

I just checked the price tag on the OG. Damn CC is expensive.
I am actually wearing the Dapper Fragrances formulation of Clive Christian 1872 to bed right now. I LOVE DAPPER FRAGRANCES!!!
An anagram for Clive Christian is 'I C an evil Christ' 😂
Ouch
