    im back lol my daughter is getting married and requested these for her and her bridesmaids while theyre getting ready for the wedding i made them at christmas and they were perfect my portuguese sister in law loved them and was shocked i could make them thanks again :)

      Absolutely. I make the rissois in bulk and freeze them before they are fried. Perfect appetizer or snack. Thank you Isabel🥰

    Just got back from Portugal yesterday, love Potuguese cuisines, thank you Nancy for your recipe, my question is, can we use waterinstead of eggs?

      Hi, the egg is what binds the bread crumbs to the Rissois dough. If you don't eat eggs you can use water or heavy cream as a binding agent for the breadcrumbs. Thank you for your question😊

    I add nutmeg and cinnamon stick when making filling and when making dough add a lemon rind makes flavours pop more

    Thank you so much! I have made several recipes for Pasteis de Camarao and either the pastry technique was wrong or the mix was too wet. Your recipe was absolutely bang on for exactly 60 rissois. I used beautiful prawn/lobster stock instead of the prawn water. Sooo tasty and perfect

    Thank you Nancy! I went to a Portuguese bakery and fell in love with these patties. However at 2 bucks a pop - they are quite pricey. I think that I can follow this recipe and make my own. I also subscribed. Greetings!

    The recipe definitely requires a little more time than I expected, but now that I have done them it will definitely be much easier next time. They came out amazing. FYI for those who do not have a granite counter top you should let dough cool more and extra flour. Only question I have is for freezing, they will be raw not battered, how long are they good for? Do you have a printable recipe form of this? I will be making the Sweet Bread soon! Than you for the recipes!

      Thank you Michelle. You can place them in the freezer with the bread crumbs. The rissois don't last very long at my home, however, you can freeze them up to 60 to 90 days.     My recipe is the same. Great job!! Just curious, why eight eggs? I have always used 4 and I am still left with leftover mixture of the eggs. Thankyou

      Hi Libby... that's awesome! 👍🏻 Thank you so much. The recipe makes approximately 60 rissois and the rissois are fairly a good size. I used small eggs for this recipe, however if I had large eggs I would use 6 eggs. I also have extra mixture. Better to have extra than not enough... Thank you for your question.🥰

    The your recipes do you cook them before freezing them or just freeze them and once frozen defrost then fry or fry while still frozen?

    I was about to cook this recipe when I realize the ingredients are not in English, I was disappointed because I really wanted to cook this recipe, but I needed the ingredients to follow it. You should also put the recipe in English too. A lot of the people, who wanted to cook this recipe are not Portuguese. 😞😞😞

      Hi there.... all my recipes are in English.. English speaking and English headings of the ingredients. I provide the recipe with step by step ingredients in "English". If you watched the video of the recipe you will see "a pop up" of the quantity of the ingredients" are listed. Thank you😊
