    Mi primera Guitarra fue una Yamaha C70 y luego me compré una Yamaha CG182C! El sonido de la segunda es sumamente superior a la Yamaha C70! Esa Guitarra se la regalé a mi amada novia para cuanda tenga tensión, se relaje aunque sea tocando las distintas cuerdas! Gracias maestro por su gran interpretación musical la cual estuvo maravillosa!

    Off the shelf the 12th fret action was a bit more than 4mm on the 182s and the nut/ 1st fret action was way high. I took both the saddle and nut down. 3mm now at the 12th. Nut action also lower.

    In my opinion the 182S have a sound most brilliant. The 182C sound deeper in bass.

    That is quite a sound difference. This is the best comparison I've ever heard between cedar and spruce. I prefer the cedar. On a side note, what mic are you using? It sounds fantastic!

      In a few years, spruce will sound better than cedar. The guitar is new and the spruce needs to be sung for a few years to reach its true value. It's like wine.

    Spruce but I always prefer brightness. Darker guitars just sound muddy to me. Same with pianos.

    I like the 182C, the sound is better in my point of view. The sound in the 182S is more brilliant but I prefer the cedar top.

    I just bought the 182s but listening to this video sounds like C sounds better thought I was reading that Sprouce guitars sound better over time and cedar kind of start sounding great but then it slowsly starts to loose its greatness, I just hope I didn’t make a mistake..

      No you didn't, I purchased the Yamaha 192s 7 years ago the sound gets way better. The ceder will loose its sound qualities. Every time you change string you will feel as if it a new guitar.

      I have a 192c and just changed strings and it sounds like a new guitar...but not using the Yamaha S10 strings, a D'Addario light tension. The old/original strings was starting to sound stale but I changed cause the D string broke.

    CG 182C sonido más calido,redondo y equilibrado.
    La CG 182S más ataque, fuerte y brillante.
    Me gusta más el Cedro.

      Yes, cedar has much fuller sound. The spruce sounded very thin, especially when using a pick.

      Both guitars have solid top in spruce or cedar and back and sides in rosewood, nato neck; ebony fingerboard; rosewood bridge.

      The wood on the top, C stand for cedar and S for spruce

      Na verdade a diferença está na qualidade das madeiras utilizadas na construção do violão.

      The difference is the neck material, while CG192 has African mahogany neck, the CG182 has Nato neck. The rest of the parts are the same material. S = Spruce and C = Cedar for the top wood.

    S is more treble and brighter than C. I feel C quite deep and emphasize on bass (?) Idk im not an expert but what do u think?

      @@damozhutagalung1418 it's preference basically. I also love flamenco guitars bcs their loudness and the buzzing sounds they have. But me personally like classical that have calming or serene type

    You can have the same result by taking two random CG182C and comparing cedar to cedar; or taking two random CG182S and comparing spruce to spruce. One will be brighter, another one will be warmer. It is not spruce vs. cedar, especially with Yami, their guitars are very inconsistent and one should choose in store instead of relying on video sound examples.
    I even read that last century they were testing sounds of already built guitars, and if it sounds great it gets number 100, if not so good - number 50, and so on. Good luck ;)
