it always amazes me how groups like stray kids have such a distinct sound regardless of the music genres they tap into
I've come to terms with the fact that kpop will likely always adopt different types of dance music, bc ppl want performability when there are dancers in a group. I used to hate groups using reggeton, afro beats, etc, but some songs have won me over.

youre so right about jjam, skz told us we will enjoy the performance since the rachas are very clear in the song (so we will most likely get a performance w 3racha rapping back and forth, danceracha dancing during that break and vocalracha singing their hearts out during their part)

I remember Changbin or Hyunjin saying Jjam is like an introduction to all the Rachas and I think it’s a great way to explain it because the song has melodic parts, great rap parts and also dance break parts
very interesting to see how different people listen to music.... that song does not need any belting, it's such fun song that gets you moving or working out I feel that belting would just ruin it in my humble opinion. haha
Cool reaction as usual. I was surprised u didn't have more to say about Seungmin's part in Chk Chk Boom. His version compared to Bang Chan's is so different with a bit more of a singing sound. I just love Seungmin's lower register tho. ❤

Sorry still haven’t listened to the full album yet but I wanted to watch your reaction to the title track. The way this was TOO SHORT for me! I loooved the vibe and the beat and the style! (I have never been a hyunjin girl but the way he looked in that first chorus i was floored) Amazing! But I would have loved a bridge and another chorus where they maybe expanded on the beat and like you said some adlibs as well! Still loved this tho, added it to my playlist immediately, cant wait to listen to the rest of the album

Have you seen clips from the festivals they did some days ago or perhaps the whole performance? I highly recommend it, like I'm stay so I know that I'm biased, however they honestly surprised me so much, I was amazed by them. It impacted me so much and made me respect even more that while listening to this album all I could think about was how great all of the songs would be in a concert, like just imagining them opening with mountains, a great choreo for jjam, and stray kids at the end or something like that

No cause I thought the same about the end of Chk Chk Boom, like if there was some adlibs, I could forgive the song being so short 😂
I’d be interested in knowing if JJAM was a bit of Stray Kids wordplay. In Korean it basically means spare time or free time. Whereas Jam means fun in Korean and has a fun musical meaning in English as well as the preserves you eat. LOL

I like your adlibs in chk chk boom, i didn;t even think about ablibs till you mentioned it. I agree it would have gave the song a little more oomph instead of just chanting. But overall really enjoyed the project!

Ryan, Hugh and Skz have been friends since 2021. Especially Ryan and Bang Chan. Ryan and Hugh are big fans. Ryan actually had them set up to be in the Deadpool movie but the writers strike delayed everything and then the boys didnt have time in their schedule anymore 😢
They are however on the Deadpool OST with a song called Slash which is out now.
