Addiction is like being in a house that's on fire , watching all your life memories burning away , the walls melting down and then it gets to you and you wanna scream but you dont ... you just stand there and let it burn your life away ....
Addiction is ....a special kind of hell so for anybody who has beat it and got their life back... JUST KNOW YOUR A WARRIOR .. ♡
Mgk: This is a great song about the hell of addiction ...great lyrical work !

6 months before my baby sister over dosed and passed she showed me this song and told me this is how she felt. We cried then and I cry now every time I hear it but sometimes I have to listen to feel that connection from that day. God I miss her 24 years was way to soon.

I still remember listening to this song while I was nodded out in my car, crying, wondering why my girl left with our kid, I couldn't figure it out. I'm now 5 years clean. Have custody of my kids, make more than I could ever imagine, and have everything I could ever want, all because i got clean. You can do it if you want it bad enough.❤❤

Relapsed today after being clean (even off subs) for a while. I used to listen to this when I made long drives to pick up weight for cheaper prices from the cartel. The intro piano always gave me the vision of driving along an empty road, through fields or open plains so this video matches perfectly to my experience. SOME ADVICE: I've been an addict for 13 years and quit about 25 times. For all those trying to get clean, just know that lots of states have suboxone/methadone clinics that are completely free if you have medicaid or other insurance. If you can go to a new place/environment, GO! and try every method there is: Medication assisted treatment, 12 step, NA, get a sponsor, move to another state or country, get rid of your junkie friends or girlfriend, change all your eating/sleeping/working/etc habits, ask someone to manage your money, tell your drug dealer to not sell to you, delete the phone number of every drug connect or drug user that you have. Never quit for someone else, always do it for yourself or it won't last and when you relapse is when you're most likely to OD. Waking up and just feeling normal without the ups and downs of being high then withdrawal is really quite amazing. Get on suboxone and you'll see! Just make sure you wait til you're in withdrawal (like 12 hours min after last use) before you take it and if you still don't feel 100% after taking it, you can use and then you will feel normal. The next day when you take your second dose you will likely feel 100% normal and not need to use afterward. Then since you know that you can't get high you stop thinking about it less and you go about your day feeling normal. Even if you're not ready to quit, give it a try and see how surprisingly nice it is to not drag that weight around your ankle on a daily basis.

I remember crying the first time i understood what MGK was saying. Unfortunately addiction took him from us almost a year ago. The ending of this song hits a little bit harder now. RIP Derrick. Meth, kills the innercore of yourself and destroys you completely. But when u mix the pain and reality u chase after that high. 2 years and completely off it and going has been the best choice I have done for myself &the real world doesn’t get better most times ,but to all those going thru this or hurting, or ur lives being a scramble please find a way to love yourself rather than depending on a devils drug, don’t continue to get dragged in this Hurts to see many comments such as myself . What I went thru too this song meaning deep for a reason .. find a way... because nobody will care in the end, be strong because there is hope someway..this song I have literally kept in mind everytime and kept me strong. Thanks MGK

I personally never struggled with addiction but the fact that so many people have or are still fighting is truly heart breaking. MGK is such a good rapper because he raps about real life, pain and struggles that a lot of people can relate to (and it may even help them through hard times.) This song is so powerful, it's chilling. MGK is the best!! Lace up 🙌

I am 23 years old and have suffered with addiction for almost a decade, specifically with heroin almost 3 years. I just heard this song for the first time a couple days ago and since day 1 of my heroin addiction it has felt as though I have been in a dream. I could never have imagined myself sticking a needle in my arm each day just to feel alive and not like death. The lyrics to this song reached into my soul and even while living in Salt lake city, ut and watching tons of others do the same thing I still feel alone because I actually want to change, its like it took the film off my eyes and made me see how it is possible to recover and one day I will be able to comment with my # of days sober. Any other addicts still suffering lets do this together. not for anyone else but for ourselves. and if anyone needs help no matter where you are in the states pm me and I can give you a reference to someone that has been helping me get funding for detox and rehab because my parents can't and insurance won't pay for it. they travel the country to help addicts just like you and me. ... Congrats to those on their sober path and keep fighting to those who are not there just yet...

im a addict myself, id love to say I've been months clean but im not I used yesterday, and im not a addict like im stealing and robbing people, I have a full time job and still fight with this sickness. Anyone can be a addict, I struggle everyday to fight the urge and I hate to admit it but it gets me all the time, I wish she didn't win but she do. Too anyone out there struggling and trying to be clean, don't give up and keep pushing until your standing in life where you truely want to be. Im not anywhere near where I want to be in life but still trying to get there everyday. Were all human even if I have a addiction im still a person.

Earlier this week I learned that my baby cousin that I've lost touch with, passed away from an overdose. Haven't heard or listened to this song since I got sober 7 years ago after I overdosed and died. Narcan and cpr saved my life, sadly that didn't save my cousin. Sadly she was alone.. and was found once it was too late.. I'm going to her funeral this coming week, pray for me. This is the first funeral I'm attending of someone that passed from an overdose since I've been sober also the first family member that I bury from this disease.. Addiction.. Rest in Paradise bbyg. I hope you're finally at peace. Till we meet again. ❤

    "Lead You On" lyrics
    Machine Gun Kelly Lyrics
    Play "Lead You On"
    on Amazon Prime Music
    "Lead You On"
Twice I turned my back on you
I fell flat on my face but didn't lose
    Was it the blue night
    Gone fragile?
    Was it above the man
In a wonder steady going under?
Tell 'em drain the pool I'm sinking fast
Come and save my life before it pass
    Scratching at the surface
But the bottom's where I'm at
Only place my addiction will tell me
    That I'm free at last
So why the fuck you playing with my head?
    I said I'm done
Any and everything I had is gone
    I said you won
You promised that we'd only be together for a minute
    Then we finished
But my life had passed another year
Why the fuck is you in it?
Bitch, I gave up everything for you
    Even my house
Now I'm begging on a nightly basis
    To sleep on the couch
My counselor said I need to find a way
    To block the pain
I told him it was already too late
She is in my veins and he said
Tell me what led you on
    I'd love to know
    Well, it's just that
When I felt her the first time, I flew
Nobody gives me the high that she do
See, we fight all the time
And she leaves bruises on my arms
But the way she makes me feel inside
That girl can do no wrong
Now all my family hates me
Since I started fucking with her
And all my friends done left me
'Cause they jealous that I'm with her
I tried to break it off
But she gets me back with the feel
    After everything she did
Why the fuck do I love that needle?
    Please help me
Twice I turned my back on you
I fell flat on my face but didn't lose
Look, this love's killing me literally
Every time I start to pick you up you finish me
Used to love waking up in the mornings and feeling you
Now I'm just ashamed wearing long sleeves concealing you
    Bitch, you wasn't shit
How the fuck could you do this?
Now my fucking life is ruined
I'mma kill you, bitch, I'll do it
    So I tie it up
Stick that shit up in my skin
    And overdose on your love
So I can't have it again

the level of personal awareness to put these personal demons to paper and then release it as a song is courageous and telling... he knew he was in a really bad place but you can hear his anger at himself for not being able to get away from it... really powerful stuff... everyone commenting about staying clean from your habits, praying for y'all to take it a day at a time and promise yourself to never go back to it

I barely made it a quarter through the song before it made me ball my eyes out and shut it off. It hurts so bad to relive it in my head but I'm so grateful to be blessed enough to not be actually living it anymore

I am not a heroin addict, but I am a Meth ADDICT and this song has hit me in more than one way. I continue to use even though I have lost everything more than once. I haven't lost my life, yet. Not from a number of attempts, but here I am fighting against the urge to put a needle in my arm and feel Tina warm me up. I am addicted to the rush at the beginning, but everything else can go. I will fight until the drug or I win.

In addition, i was driving asleep. Up for many nites. And with a breath catching heart stopping i jerk awake! In that moment when time stood still and the world literally upside down, i heard “wake up stupid your driving, the choice is yours” as i came to spark filled fire flashing stop! And as i crawled out of that red hott stolly i ran with spot lites at every angle that felt they pierced the hart. All along the path i ran, over and over, “WAKE UP STUPID your driving
    ITS YOUR CHOICE!”

One day I hope I'm able to jump off this roller-coaster of heroin adddiction. My fiance committed suicide after a relapse and I relapsed shortly after that...unable to handle to pain. You described exactly what I’m going thru right now... I’m dying inside everyday more and more.. it doesn’t even make my pain go away anymore. I only use it to not be sick and feel normal. I wanna just leave this world already..but I don’t want to cause any pain to my parents and siblings..and I also have a 4 year old daughter that loves me so much...I’m slowly losing my mind. I need help. I have no one to vent to about this. But i hope you find your way out this miserable cycle. Seeing your comment made me realize I’m not alone.

I know this was posted 3 years ago...but I just wanted to say, I'm so sorry for your loss. I was already addicted to oc80 & opana when I found my mom dead...spiraled out of control & when they took opana off the market I remember panicking...paid $120 just for 1 pill if i was able to find them...then one night someone told me heroin was around and only $20 to get me well. I never thought I'd use a needle until it happened. I was shooting h & meth, lost everything I had. My dad found out he had stage 4 esophageal cancer & was given a year and a half to two years to live. I tried so hard to get clean for him. I was in a methadone program and he wanted me to be off opioids & clean before he died. I thought I could do it so I stopped cold turkey 120mg daily. Worst mistake ever, attempting to get clean for other people. I relapsed on heroin after being off it for 4 years and it became worse than ever. I lost everything all over again and my dad in the process. I got suboxone off the streets just so I could appear normal & see him. When he died,, I almost did too from overdosing on fentanyl. Still couldnt stop. Now I've made it 4 and a half years no needles and no heroin thanks to a slow suboxone taper. I dont think I'll ever be able to live without some sort of medication to avoid relapse but that's fine as long as I never go back to where I was. I hope you're still alive. I hope you are clean, however works for you. Sending you positive thoughts and vibes and love!! It doesnt matter how many times it takes as long as you dont give up on yourself. Dont settle for a life less than you deserve. Idk if you'll ever see this but just wanted to let you know you're not alone and I'm rooting for you. From 1 former addict to another ♡

If this song speaks to you spread the word. I'm currently back to using after being sober for a year. And i'm only 21, MGK has always been a God to me, but with this song he touches me so close with the emotion i feel like i can relate to him completely. "Why do i fucking love that needle" its the hardest thing to get away from, almost like your true love. If anyone you know is going through what i'm dealing with or any other user. Please, please do your best to spread word and support those. It's the worst addiction a person can have, and it will leave the users and families of them empty, with all love lost. Thank you Machine Gun Kelly, you'll always be a god to me. Much love and respect - Colerilla
