Thanks man. It’s interesting that a lot of amp and pedal demos don’t really go in depth with how they actually work in different settings with other pedals and what not. Appreciate the kind words!
Awesome gear, tone and playing! 😍 For other tone geeks out there, we have linked to your vid and documented your gear/settings on our new guitar site. Hope that's fine with you! 😉
Awesome demo review. Im highly considering this amp as my first tube and "real" amp. Would changing tubes when needed be something a noob can figure out or would I need to send it back to badcat or a tech? Also around how much and where did you get this amp. Bad cat seems to be out of stock, and guitar centers price is like $200 more than I see on other sites. I really dig that k master!!!
Really appreciate the kind words! Changing the tubes are super easy! It’s a cathode biased amp so you can just pop in a new set of tubes! Super easy. I’m not sure who might have these in stock at the moment I ordered mine from BadCat directly. I’d check sweetwater, guitar center, heck even Anderton’s in the UK. The K-master is incredible. It really is!
@@GibsonGuy777 I appreciate the quick helpful response. Im also looking more into the cub 15r and badcat paw. I look forward to more of your demos especially using Bad cat!
Sorry if I missed this in the video, but how does it sound turned pretty quiet? like bedroom levels with kids asleep upstairs? I'm debating between this and the 15r. Not sure if I need the extra power, but if it sounds as good as the 15 at the same volume, I don't see why I wouldn't want the extra power just in case.
This is a fantastic question. It sounds incredible at low volumes. The KMaster is designed to have the same sound at low volumes as it does in high volumes. And I can tell you it absolutely sound big even at low volumes. That touch and feeling is all still there!
@@jldkrank oh absolutely it’s worth it as well because of the difference in the power section being el34’s as well! I’ll be doing more livestreams with demos soon! Hope to see you there!
Thanks man! And yes! It’s digital, but really though, don’t let that deter you. It’s SUCH a GOOD lush reverb. The k master does a bit better of a job than just power scaling in terms of tone. It’s such a useful tool, and really does an amazing job in keeping all the tone and feel of a loud amp at lower volumes. I love it.
@@GibsonGuy777 BETTER than power scaling? Wow thats high praise. Yeah it sounds ridiculously good. I wish they had just not used a reverb, It drives me nuts to think of a digital reverb in this amp but just gotta close my eyes and listen. Keep posting demos of this guy! great work
@@travisraab definitely! Again! Just because it’s digital doesn’t mean it’s not great! Most reverb pedals that are popular these days are digital! This amps reverb is seriously amazing and really sits well. It’s really good!
@@travisraab there’s a company you may not have heard of... they make a great digital reverb pedal... called the big sky... by strymon. Don’t let the digital thing scare you.
I absolutely recommend this amp! It’s definitely become so much more popular, it’s one of the most versatile amps for so many people. It’s just perfect!
Javier Arias sure! The “green” tube mode is using 12ax7’s whereas the ”red” uses ef86’s. I use the 12ax7’s for a bit less aggressiveness in the breakup since I use my amp more as a pedal platform. I usually enjoy smoother edge of breakup settings.
It definitely takes drive pedals incredibly well. Even on an edge of breakup type of setting, it just really brings out the best. I’d highly recommend this amp for the players who need a pedal platform, as well as players who just plug straight in with no pedals at all. It just sounds amazing
@@jamiefischer2059 I use the 12ax7 for the work that I do, but the ef86 is really just SO good too. I don’t use the effects loop as I run everything through the front of the amp. It takes pedals so incredibly well that I don’t find myself needing to use the effects loop anyway.
