Not a fan of releasing the refrigerant in the open air, but I guess it's the quickest and easiest way for you guys to do your job. There's laws against this managed by the Montreal and Kyoto protocol.
@@AutuniteDo the " laws" of Montreal and Kyoto apply to the gases emitted by cattle bred in the "dairy farms" of the western world? Hypocrisy needs to be exposed now and then.
@@barlevgolan9780 Do they need to, though? How easy is it to forbid cows existing compared to forbid humans from releasing unecessary amounts of gases when there are easy tools available such as a decomission compressor to prevent that? Compare the GWP between methane and R22 (released in the video). 1kg of methane gas has a GWP of 28, meaning it equals 28kg of CO2, where CO2 is the reference by 1. Now, R22 has a GWP of 1810 and also an ODP of 0.055, meaning it's an ozone damaging gas. 1kg of that gas equals 1,8 **TONS** of CO2. That's a lot. It's forbidden to officially buy R22 today, that's why they fill R32 which is a replacement gas with 0 ODP and 675 GWP. It's not hypocrisy, this isn't even remotely related to how farming is done today, and while your country might have huge cattle farms with terrible conditions doesn't mean that others do. Ignorance needs to be exposed now and then.
Most of you dont realize that this is supposed to be a 2 part a/c unit. The part this video is about is the condensing unit. This part does not cool your house. The compressor condenses the refrigerant to a liquid which causes the refrigerant to heat up and raises the refrigerant pressure. It goes through the condensor (the giant radiator looking thing) where the fan cools the refrigerant dropping the pressure to a more appropriate level. From there, the refrigerant travels in liquid form to the evaporator unit, not seen in this video. Once in the evaporator unit the liquid refrigerant hits the expansion valve. The refrigerant is in gas form at normal or less than normal atmospheric pressure. So once it hits the expansion valve, it rapidly cools on the evaporator side of the expansion valve. Not gonna get into the science of heat exchange but the evaporator gets cold and a blower pushes warm air over the cold evaporator making the warm air cold. Then the refrigerant is returned to the compressor in gas form to repeat the process.
I did forget to mention the reason that it gets cold at the expansion valve is the sudden drop in pressure. When it goes from the high pressure liquid form to the low pressure gas form. Thats what the expansion valve does.
As the only manufacturer that develops and manufactures both air conditioners and refrigerants, Daikin launched the world's first residential-use air conditioner using R-32.
These videos from the channel are true lessons in patience, perseverance, objectivity and faith in the human capacity to overcome challenges. Congratulations!
Wow!! I’m in the hvac field in Texas and I can tell u that he’s got all the tools we use in the feild! He’s got more tools than some apprentice guys that apply with us..
I think the most important part right there was the fan. It would help cool down the refrigerant. The cool refrigerant is what makes the indoor unit useful.
Mans just vents the R-22, an ozone depleting refrigerant, not to mention he didn't change the refrigerant oil to be the correct type for R32. R32 also operates at much higher pressures, hopefully it doesnt bust open. However, I do respect his efforts to try and make money.
Whoa not even an inch if rust on the condenser. That’s amazing. I don’t expect that kind of durability in new Toshiba ACs now that they’re owned by Midea.
Great effort. The very professional skills of an expert tin smith combined with those of a refrigeration technician combined with those of an expert welder at work out here. Too much expertise for the bulk of us DIY's out here to emulate. The brazing of the expansion valve itself would drive most of us crazy! But the video was wonderful to watch anyway. Thank you.
I hope you're not being serious. None of this is for real. And none of the technical aspects of this "restoration" were done correctly anyway. This wouldn't work in a million years. Just so you know, if you want to acquire actual knowledge, videos like this are the worst place for it since no actual proper repair took place, they just make it seem like they're doing something.

In this particular case, that would be better. Very nice restoration.....this guy knows exactly what he is doing ....BRAVO !!!

Very nice restoration but i think you cannot replace R22 with R32...they have completely different contition, pressures, and oil.
