Hey man ive been watching your stuff in the mornings before work everyday in the past couple weeks, as a person whos more left leaning I enjoy the exposure to other ideas. Having said that the teacher here was in the wrong not only because of the hostility towards the student but also because the hat can very well fall under 1st Amendment protections of protest in schools decided by the supreme court in Tinker vs. Des Moines. The teacher had a million better ways to do this other than the hostile way they did, so even as someone that could be on the "same side" as them i cannot support the suppression of speech they partook in as an american who believes in our Constitution.
Is was funny when u talked about how people get bashed in public for wearing trump stuff, I was on my college shuttle with a shirt on after the election and a big left sided person eyed me down and when we got off she yelled at me I betrayed my home country. I'm Hispanic by the way but was born in jersey so home country I just laughed.
