Just a heads up, the board in the latest Nvidia Shield TV 16gb has changed slightly. I have mine apart in front of me right now. The LEDs for the green light on top of the Shield are now integrated into the logic board. There is no LED cable. There is also a small secondary board for WiFi now as well.

you don't need security/tamper Torx T6h. Just opened up my Nvidia shield 16gb(bought around May 2019) and it doesn't have the Torx T6H security screws. All you need is a regular Torx T6. @@BenjaminFSiegel i bought a small bottle of 3 in 1 lubricant from an auto parts store today and, using a toothpick, i put a very small drop in the center of the motor where the fan sits. i was careful not to get the lube on the whole motor, just where the fan touches to the motor. i also rubbed the lubed tooth pick around the top edge of the plastic fan box. just in cast the top of the fan was touching.
after putting it together it is running whisper quiet now! it's acutaly below a whisper, as i can barely hear it lol. probably just had some micro dust get in the motor, but lubing it seems to have fixed it. i hope this helps other people.

Hello, can anyone help me? It has happened that I decided to open my Nvidia Shield TV 2017 (16 GB), and it is the recent revision that comes with Wi Fi antenna module, and the green power LED comes on the PCB. The fact is that when trying to remove the UFL wi fi mini connector, this has been detached with the base section that goes on the PCB, and with a fragment of the "track" of the PCB, I have ruined the wi fi and bluetooth enough now ! The signal it picks up on both frequencies is now weak, for this reason I am looking for someone to provide me with excellent quality photos of that connector area, but do not disconnect it! since it is a welding nothing strong and it will not happen to them as it happened to me.

I honestly highly doubt they will have a traditional hard drive on one of these but I'm not certain. Just seems like more work to add on a sata connector and run power to the drive from the power supply.
Just no real reason to do so when it can easily be added onto the board. Maybe it will have a SD card slot with a SD card in it for the higher capacity models that could very well be a option but I do not see them adding a physical drive to the device for what ultimately serves not purpose over on board storage.
If it uses onboard storage than you will not be able to add a SSD, you could probably find a USB 3 to Sata conversation cable but USB 3 does not support anywhere near Sata bandwidth.
