What upset me this last year were the attacks on Rippa. He basically stated that he made about $15 a comic after costs. He paid his employees on time. He gave a valuable product and reinvested profits into expanding Rippaverse. He has promoted independent artists and when able offered contests to encourage new artists, donated to charities and financially backed new endeavors. For that he has been ridiculed and sued to try and stop him. I personally do not care about comics, but my grandsons do, so I need to pay attention. I do not want them to read comics with men doing unspeakable things. This last year was bad, but hopefully, 2024 will turn the tide so that minors are not subjected to the filth openly disguised as comics.
