WOW ‼️ Fantastic ‼️ What a gorgeous Drama Tenor had Unforgettable Mario del Monaco ‼️ BRAVO 🎉🏆‼️ Thanks for sharing amazing video and interesting story about this Fenomenon singer 🙏‼️❤️💐💐🌹🌹🌹🌹🕯️🕯️🕯️🕯️
Del Monico sings Dona non Vidi...superbly, but his enormous, heroic voice is, of course, not the ideal sound for this most ardent and lyrical of love songs.
@@sugarbist I have noticed that. Who knows why you don’t get an answer; I can think of a few possible reasons. Some posters do state why one is “superior” to the other, but usually it’s a value judgement and depends on which singer gives you the experience that you want. I have seen you multiple times expressing that sentiment and how it affects your preferences. We happen to agree but if we didn’t I’d have to respect your opinion because you do not resort to trashing a singer because that singer has flaws that you can’t tolerate.
@@sugarbist This is bad. In most cases, it is easy. Sometimes, indeed, impossible, when both are outstanding. The problem is that the standard went really low these days
@@rdargenio People are so eager to express 1 tenor or their favorite tenor is better than another. In my opinion, this may take away the enjoyment of an individuals listening experience. I was fortunate in the fact that in my teens and younger my listening favorites were MDM, Di Stefano, Corelli and Lanza in the so called American songs. I was aware of other tenors , but I did not need another tenor in my life, as each OF these were astounding at times, and as a group they ful-filled my listening requirements. I'm aware of their shortcomings, but their shortcoming did not define them as terrific singers and artists. As I matured, I further expanded to many other greats and good tenors to listen to. Labo, Penno, Pertile Masini, Martinelli, Campagnano, Tucker, Barioni, Bjorling, Limarilli, Schipa, Cechelle, Volpi Zenatello Gigli etc. In short, a tenor does not have to be great for me to enjoy him. My best to you.

Who was singing the title role pls? Was it Maria Callas? Mario was absolutely amazing.
Thank you.
Clara Petrella sang the title role.

Thank you.
TRAUMHAFT
Corelli is better.
@johanneskreisler7647 Franco was a great tenor. He never assumed this role in his career, although he probably would have been fine.
I'm always curious what criteria a poster uses when they say one tenor was ''better'' than another. I rarely get an answer.
