Purchasing software can be expensive. But I would NOT recommend that you use pirate cracked software for your PC, you can either look for free options, or pay full price for software. Some people will not pay these costs and will still opt for downloading cracked or illegal software. Downloading of illegal software are normally packed with dangerous malware. A lot of malware can hide itself on your PC without you knowing your computer has been compromised. Cracking web sites will have popups and redirects which will send you to other dangerous webs sites. Sometimes they download other files which you never wanted which contain adware infections or even worst ransomware. Malware, can steal passwords, data, credit details, user information etc, which is saved in the browser.

1.I dont have online banking apps like paypal and so on
2.Im only 14 years old that's why I dont have those I only have money on my wallet
3.even though some of you try get yours mother credit card to buy something online, but me my mother only use debit card and also have pin thats why i cant just use her card

But everytime if I found a app on internet but i wanted to try first i do is download it and scan immediately with Kaspersky and virustotal then if both said it safe even its look like fake I use my vmware and execute the app in there i always do that because i dont want to get infected with virus
We can all agree that pirating adobe products is acceptable because of their stance on subscriptions, which includes cancellation fees
Most can be replaced with free alternatives. It's simply a matter of taking the time to learn how to use them.

Checking out cracked software is one of the reasons virtual machines exist. Really I'd prefer legitimate copies of things but I have no income stream due to medical injuries and I need my hobby to keep me sane.
Not everyone has money, we couldn't even provide food, let alone the programs

I used to install pirated software, mostly in high school, ironically this was during a time period when most pirated PC games actually worked better than the retail versions because of how badly the DRM protections were implemented. They would take up a massive amount of system resources just so you could play your legally bought game or simply not recognize authentic disks/license keys.
After I got a job I just buy all of my games through Steam or GOG, typically. I would say pirating Adobe projects is probably morally okay because their subscription models are bollocks, but I just use other art software like Paint Tool SAI 2 (paid for) or GIMP (free) to not risk it.
They still work better
Microsoft Word currently requires a subscription. There is no way. That's why I prefer Microsoft Word 2010, or 2007, which I also have. Does everything a new version does and no subscription costs and you cannot beat $1.00 for the original disc. The PowerPoint in MS 2010 works better, so I use that, and the spell checker is also improved. So I just use the 2010 version. Microsoft provides free access to Word for students, but you have to access it online. I much prefer the desktop version, and in my opinion Word 2010 is easier on the eyes and just works better than the current version.
Let me remind you it is entirely LEGAL to buy original discs. OH! I got Wolfram's Mathematica on EBAY. Version 5. It was never used, and sold by a math student who dropped out of school. Mathematica currently is version 13.1 and costs $181, and a $91 a year subscription (or $56 a semester). . My Mathematica is version 5, which I got some years ago, functions perfectly and does EVERYTHING I need it to do for current University needs, was $25 for fully registered never used disc. No subscription costs. It still works to this day.
If you go to consignment shops, and Goodwill you can find older versions of software which are fully registered. I use Microsoft WORD 2010 which I got for $1.00 and still use it to this day. It got me through graduate school just fine. I also have Abode Photoshop Element 7.0 which I also got the registered copy for $1.00 and it works just fine. NOT illegal. I can legally used original discs that are sold at consignment shops.
I understand the risks and barely use any pirated stuff myself anymore, but I can tell why many people prefer to use them , but I would still dissuade them . For example in my country wages of people are really low. For most people make less than $500 a month , with many hardships they may be able to save about $100.00 of that , this is essentially emergency money or retirement savings since there is no pension or social security .People find very difficult to find any spare money to spend on non essential products. Although I discourage use of cracks , this is another perspective that most people from a first world country won't be able to witness to visualize since they never have to face poverty. Piracy is still piracy and wrong.
The way you handle this problem is to deploy software on a disposable VM that is isolated from all internet connections via use of a firewall to halt all internet traffic from the VM. This way, if there is any malaware, it simply can't function properly because it will be unable to obtain outgoing internet connections.
brilliant. even if theres malware installed on the vm, it only could infect those files in the *less* important os in your storage
One reason would be DRM, sometimes you literally buy the real product in this case games and it doesn't even work day 1, some people can't get their new game working at all so piracy becomes a solution for those who don't want to wait a week or possibly years to play the game they purchased. The other reason is region locking, you buy a game that is locked to that region, if you travel without using a VPN and sometimes even if you do the VPN doesn't work and you are forced to either buy the game again or pirate.
Third reason is living in a country with a highly inflated currency where you couldn't even afford the product if you. not saying its right but you are highly naïve to think you have never pirated something, intentionally or not. Anyone who has ever studied at a university when you go to the library and you make a photocopy of a book, that is piracy. You have just taken it without informing the owner. All this to use a piece of the context in your assignment that you APA reference which explains away that piracy.
Software developers do this to taking ideas or code off others without asking permission to use said code.
Face that we live in such a world and that no one is squeaky clean.
A lot free open source software have been catching up to the paid ones there's kinda no reason to use crack software but some people never learn

There's no reason not to either. If you pirate Adobe products from a trusted source, you won't get malware, it'll run better than the legal versions, and pirating Adobe products is always morally correct.
Hi Britec, I use lots of free software on my linux machines,, on my windows computers I use free software like firefox / avast security browser, open office etc I still have paid for software but it no longer works on the latest OS and support / the companies are no more,
If I really need some software I will use the trial version to see if it suits my needs.
There is lots of shareware out there that you pay a small fee to unlock features.
A few months ago my youtube channel and Twitter were hacked after downloading cracked software on my computer. They tried to upload software crack videos on my channels to scam more people. Some of those channels you have mentioned in the video might have their channels hacked too.

This happened to me 24 hours ago. I had to spend 70$ on anti virus protection to get it taken care of. It’s crazy because the video got like 1k views. But safe to say it scared the shit out of me and I will never pirate again. I don’t think I’ll ever be on the internet often like I was.
Years and years ago everyone used cracked software because the free alternatives, if there were any, were crap, unfinished and buggy. Nowadays that just isn't the case and I'm more surprised that companies selling software actually make a living because the free open source stuff is that good now.

Cracked files or software are illegal to use if the publisher has not been given legal authorization or permission to create the software or files.
Legal actions are relatively logical if people download the software from people who just wants to commit a federal or criminal offense towards to Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA).
The company can call your internet provider and have them banning you from the internet possibly. They can get your IP address and report it to your local authorities to try and have them do some type of search warrant or confiscate your devices and or they can just probably threaten to take further legal actions on you regarding you illegally downloading cracked/pirated software or files onto your computer without reporting it to the company that are looking forward to take down any websites or source who are promoting those type of applications, games and other types of materials.
Shut up. Almost all my software is pirated or cracked, including Adobe and Microsoft Office.
When a cart of food for the week is 240$ you have to make some cuts somewhere. That said, I do buy the software when the funds become available. Not to mention, software has become greedy. You used to pay once and you get it, now almost all of them are huge yearly costs.
I know times are tough, but what if you have banking malware that steals your banking details? wake up to no money in your bank

trusted cracking sources? most of these cracks if not all are malware. How do you know they are safe? because they show screenshot of virustotal? means nothing.

Anything Denuvo, deserves to be cracked/hacked/pirated. That malware is a cancer and the best defense against piracy, it's quality.
A program that I have a copy of lost the original disk so downloaded a cracked Copy but no malware in it as it flagged up as safe though my malware software and it was the pro version of it. And it was originally open source program so free but paid edition of it now.
I did this in my younger days. Users should realize that any updates, patches, etc. for that software will need a new crack to utilize it. It will become a never ending cycle as you hunt new cracks as that software evolves. Beside obvious security concerns, if you like a bit of software, the developers deserve to be duly compensated. All my software is properly paid for. I even make contributions for freeware! Good one Brian !

You would Freak out looking into my folder I called Port in. Most of my Microturd systems Run on NON Installed cracked softs. Some of it is from back in windows xp and still gets the job done.
I avoided piracy like a plague and still do to an extent this was until I found how scummy adobes refund policy was and that I had a week or so to actually get my money back despite not using the software at the time. Nice one adobe your scummy business practices are why there are dozens of cracking methods to get your shit for free
About the first one: Yes, the ones on RUclips are 99.9% fake, but if done correctly on "trusty-ish" websites, you may be fine. Now this may not make much sence but if you know the website I am talking about you know. Most of the "Green Skull" marks mean premium. Still doesn't mean trustworthy but it's not 100 percent there either (talking about the webiste I know about). What I am saying is, if you have the sources you're keen on, you will be fine. That is if you take the precautions. But I would say just buy it if you need it that much. It's not worth the risks for some stuff. The consequences are there.

a lot of software is advertised as having software for sale ant a fraction of the original price - often up-to-date, updatable software, from major suppliers, like Microsoft & Malwarebytes. What are the dangers of this type of purchase which supplies the user with a key, and often a link to the official download site for the software, which you don't have to use, but can get the actual software through "normal channels"?
Much of this software is main stream and pricy on the legit market, such as Microsoft Office, Visio, Windows iteslf, and others.
That's why you get a cracked VMw4r3 Workstation to check those cracks.

Why does RUclips allow people to post cracked software to begin with?
I know, some of them cracked software videos have been up for years, I guess they won't take them down unless they are requested to be the software company
I used to download Game cracks many years ago. Some were ok but most just plastered your screan with pop ups and sent me Antivirus software into a frenzy. I stopped doing it after being forced to re-install Windows 98 for the second time.

Thanks for the useful info. I know you do not want to encourage piracy on you site. Since you talk about Virtual Desktop alot and don't mention using that for testing this kind of software. A reason why use piracy software is to test them before buying, since now a lot software you pay outrages prices for unlimited use or pay annual subs.

may be because the malware is very well obfuscated and/or encrypted, or just uses techniques that are not flagged by WD
Sometimes these are fresh malware samples and not yet added to the antivirus database
@@Britec09 big amount of malware nowadays can modify itself therefore changing the file hash and making database useless, most AVs scans the file and looks for suspicious codes or tries to stop suspicious actions at runtime

I always use legitimate programs. Pirated games and software is a sure way to break your PC.
can't see the point of taking the chance any more, i used to download it in the past (10 - 15 years ago) you can get windows for around £15 now and most other stuff has come right down in price or you can get free alternatives, there is a lot of fantastic free software now that is as good as paid software at least for personal users.
You can also buy cheap keys and get software from source

I wouldn't do it BUT sometimes find cracked keys (grey-ware) (install on legitimate program) which doesn't force a user to install anything RUclips SHOULD NOT be allowing those videos

Microsoft gets mad when they aren't the only ones getting from you what should Not be gotten.
Take an example from third world countries. Not everyone has the money. I get it that you dont need to steal if you can't afford but the corporation have the access to paid software (e.g. MS Office) not the students and home users who have to pay. So, seeking for job or learning we have to pirate because we don't get the money to buy so. Not my employer gonna consider using FOSS software alternative as they will ask for MS based skills.
(Thiss is the base for cracked software usages in many cases)
thank you alot for this video man! i tried to download a program from a youtube tutorial and my facebook got deactivated bc of breaking community guidelines, i also seen someone from india logged into it. it´s just hard man, at the end yes you are right, it´s basically stealing something and that´s not okay. but as a creative worker with debt and no money, trying to learn and start a business is just hard to pay 400$ or more just for a simple plugin or something i need. but thanks for this video, it spreads awareness!.

I'm always shocked and amazed when I find people I know, individuals in the software industry, who use virtual machines specifically to help them find and acquire non-infected versions of pirated software. "You write code for a living and you are stealing the work of others who earn a living by writing code." I don't get invited to many parties these days.

Officially presented Glasswire software does data mining. Many of the original programs are like this. Microsoft needs to find a solution to this urgently. Microsoft protects software developers, not the end consumer

90% freeware i use and 10% cracked. for games i use more of cracked versions. they all are old small games i like. i agree that these days windows became must resistant to virus, its not easy to spread virus. most of AV alert false positives on those cracked games. there are good pirates too. you must talk about them.

I was using pirated software ever since I had a C64 in the day. But I don't risk it any more. Not worth ID theft and I found most software I might use once and never touch again. I don't spend as much time on my computers as I used to.
Only need 1 reason, if you cant see the code - its spyware. Windows , office anything proprietary is just as safe as cracked software. Free opensource software is the best and only true way to use a PC

My brother used to surf to download cracked applications all the time. I explained these issues to him several times, but he held in higher regard cost more importance than security integrity. Then his computer would play up and still not see the connection.

Not possible. Even if you manage to remove a malware, there's always the possibility of another malware. Also the malware could be embedded within the cracked software and attempting to remove the malware might make the software unusable.

I used to when I was younger. When I had Windows XP the PC was so infected ads kept coming over and over and the PC froze a lot but as I got older and learned a lot about computers, I'm more careful. I bought Kaspersky, and now I pay for everything, and now I don't get pirated software
I never download cracked software, but i do download cracked games that are modern games, back in the day old games would have viruses on them but not new ones, I always scan them with my ant-virus anyway.
Games are software too. They can contain virus.

Good video Brian personally I have never knowingly used pirated software in fact many of the programs and software I use are always legit . But I think this video does inform people in general the dangers of pirated software. Trouble is there will always be those who think that pirated software is great stuff but hey more fool them eh?

Brit I adore your content but this video comes across as scaremongering as the abstinence lectures that the churches like to put out. These "reasons not to" are all genuine risks, but not guarantees as you have implied at multiple points in this video.
The biggest fault of this lecture is that you completely failed to mention that there are many free alternatives to most software, some of which are open source and perform even better than their paid alternatives. For example, Inkscape being an incredible vector art replacement to Corel Draw or Adobe Illustrator. This fact alone would have dissuaded many a would be internet racoon.
What I believe to be the biggest inspirer for piracy is accessibility. If a product if prohibitive to acquire through regular means, piracy becomes an alternative means of accessing the desired product. If finger wagging and "oh naughty boy!"s was enough to dissuade people from doing dangerous and illegal things, motor vehicle fatality rates would be far lower than they currently are. Address the cause and provide useful information.
I believe your intentions are good here but I think this topic needs a revisit with some further thought.

What happens when you install banker trojan and you lose all your money? is that fear mongering? what about when ransomware hit the NHS and cost millions of pounds to fix, is that scaremongering? companies held to ransom because some untrained temp clicked on a link and infected the whole network. These are all real case scenarios. Cybercrime is rampant, yes to you it might be just cracking a game or software, but most of these are key loggers, backdoor or something else more dangerous, is that scaremongering? People are just dumb or that just don't understand the dangers of cracks. But hey, don't let me stop you using them, I just bring awareness to people, its there choice if they listen. In your emotional and passionate responce you managed to completely miss my point. That being your video on this subject is lazy and not conductive to learning but rather a heated rant of a man tired of saving people from their own stupidity.
It's fine it's your video but I'm offering constructive feedback in that this video fails to be a good deterrent from online piracy. This is a subject I feel you could have done a much better job with. Especially giving the weight of the subject matter and how seriously you seem to take it.

I get people coming on my discord all the time infected from cracked software. This short video will help people understand quickly of the dangers of downloading cracked software.
Simple easy video for beginners, I can very easily do an in-depth video, but remember this is RUclips and it will be over a lot of people’s heads, I know what my audience likes and dislikes, been doing this long enough.

I use it since I buy my first PC like 95% my neighborhood. Only in office its legit software, but not always. It's a common things in Balcan region of Europe. Eventually problems with pirate software we solving with simple reinstallation 😉🤣

Windows tends to detect most of them and flag them as viruses, regardless of whether they actually are dangerous or not.
