I've never been this emotionally invested into an episode of the G series of vanguard till now.
The scene that Kazumi taugh Kazuma is really gold scene and this episode is also very good too. but the wosrt thing in this episode is kazuma lost because of PLOT ARMOR

Right from the start of G NEXT, we have seen Kazuma grow up and go from a player who was scared and gives up to a strong player. His dream was not only to stand side by side with his brother, but now also save him from the hands of Shiranui. The whole season has been building up to this one big fight and YOU MAKE KAZUMA FREAKING LOSE IT?
I'm sorry Bushi, but this is poor writing in my eyes. I respect and understand Chrono is the main character and he has to get his win, but this should have been Kazuma big win! Not Chrono's! Chrono could have have gotten his win anytime after the U20. Just because Chrono is the main character, does not mean he always has to be the one to take down the villain of the season.. Take it from me Bushi, sometimes the best written series are the ones where the main character is not the one who takes down the big bad villain of the season.

Touma Callum no that's every anime out there, the main character should always take down the final villain. It raises the stakes making the story more exciting. I don't think this is poor writing at all
You make a very fair point. However, sometime's that can take some of the stakes and excitement out of the story. Having the main character lose to the final villain can add even more drama and excitement to a series. It also gives a chance for another character to shine for once.
Yeah but I think that its repetitive for Chrono/the main character to win every time. I think that they should have the order of the striders team to be Taiyo, Chrono, and then, Kazuma. Taiyo beats Verno -> Saori beats Taiyo -> Chrono beats Saori -> Onimaru beats Chrono -> Finally, Kazuma beats his brother and by doing it this way, the hype of the final fight with one loss means everything will still remain.

Kazuma should have won that game. The whole season was building up to him just once beating his brother, but no, they made him fail at his own story arc. Sigh.

I knew he was gonna lose for plot purposes, but even so, it was a great fight. If the writers gave kazuma newer units, he could have won there.

Okay, Kazuma losing was pretty disappointing but let's hope this is buildup to some kind of twist ending. Like maybe Chrono also loses his match next episode or something and some kind of event leads to a rematch between Kazuma and Kazumi where Kazuma actually wins. I doubt it's gonna happen but no harm in dreaming I guess.
I'm guessing that after Chrono loses, Kazumi might return to normal and at the end a new tournament started and Kazumi vs Kazuma began and Kazuma wins
No way that happens. Kazumi practically committed mental suicide. And there is a new season right after this one. Not to mention the endless unresolved plot threads.

I agree with all these comments from 2 and 3 years ago.
And Chrono didn't have to lose everything, they could've put him after Taiyou so that he beats Kagero guy again, because we know he can and his growth has already happened.
And then Chrono loses to Onimaru, so Kazuma takes the stage and that's when Dragstrider gets revealed and wins the game.
That way every Strider still gets a win and the more important fight happens.
Bushi ya really dropped the ball on the story this season, however, that was the most exciting fight in a while, really got ya into it and rooting for Kazuma

Next Week on Vanguard get ready to see cancerous beyond order fest. Featuring Shindou Haircrazy and Kazumi Dominate in an all out battle of plot armor. Also rip, Kazuma Had a 6th card in hand which he also could have discarded to get +3k which would have let him pass.
Gotta love the writers :P

My thoughts: "If only he got rid 'all' of his cards. Ending: "If he gets that heal man... Nope. Knew it. Even if it was double." Lastly, I assume Chrono is going to use a bunch of resist cards to counter him. Also a Chronojet with the resist ability. But that might not happen.
Here's a question for everyone.
Which of these two siblings are better?
A) Kazuma and Kazumi or B) Aichi and Emi. For me it's A!!

A - Aichi and Emi clearly love each other, but she still forgot about Aichi in Legion Mate, and never fought alongside him. The bond between Kazuma and Kazumi was enough to break through dominate.

You know, these are all happening as imagination. Imagine spectators watching Onimaru having multi-personality disorder in the middle of the game. They would also think major characters are crazy because they are constantly screaming.
First of all, I knew Kazumi was going to win in Rock-Paper-Scissors eventually.
This fight was intense, I really thought Kazuma was going to win near the end there.
Now this raises a new question, Kazumi said in the beginning, could Kazuma, "be the vessel I'm looking for?" New Theory! Kazuma is the antagonist of Cardfight Vanguard G Z.
I also really hate how the episode just ended when the fight was over, talk about an annoying cliffhanger!
The flashbacks really taught me a new perspective on Vanguard.
I can see, we've only got about 1 or 2 episodes left of NEXT. Most likely 1 since next is episode 50 and that's the episode GIRS Crisis/Stride Gate ended on.

Probably the real Kazumi influenced Shiranui to make sure Kazuma goes second - second means attack first and stride first.
NEXT is gonna last until episode 52 at least, since Z begins in October. Some spoilers are available on the wikia up to episode 52.

I hope I'm not the only one losing motivation to watch the next episode. We know how it will end and how it will be plot armor and shallow. I wished Kazuma won the fight since it will made more sense for him to win.

Pretty good episode bushi. It kinda reminded of the original series in terms of it being fast paced while still showing each turn and the story. The math was off though. A 50k shield puts Shiranui at 61k so not sure why it became 3 to pass (unless luard gets +4k for each card). Great way to close Kazuma character. Lastly, I had a thought. What if Shiranui's master was Fenrir? Needing a vessel to get his power back since GC sealed him away and wants to destroy vanguard because of it? That'd be interesting..

In an episode of Vanagurd G Z, that was about to happen. I mean, Chronojet getting Dominated by Shiranui Mukuro and attacking Chrono Dran G.
What I Loved About This Fight Was That You Can Actually Compare Kazuma's Growth To The Grade Levels Of His Vanguard Through He Past, Present, Anf Future Even Though Thats How Vanguard Is Set Up lol Kazumi Wasnt Aggressively Trash Talking Him In This Fight Could Have Been More Confrontation But All in All This Was Dope

Because they weren't guarded FROM THE HAND, which is the restiction. G-Guardians are called from the G-Zone to Guardian circle.

Dragstriders power is 26000 and he used dragstrider's skill to retire rute and abyssal owl. So rute's ability makes dragstriders power to 31000. Each card he discarded, dragstriders power plus 3000. So, eventhough he discarded all over his hand, which is 6, it still becomes 31000 + 18000=49000 which still need three triggers to brokethrough because shiranui's defence is 61000 power
It's Ren vs Kai from season 3 all over again! And now let Chrono go there and use his MP unbeatable in important battles skill,even though Kazuma deserved this win a lot more just like Ren did back then!
