I like the concept you have for the Stability Loops being able to link the earbuds together like that. No where in the documentation does it say thats the intended use. It just mentions there are 3 settings. A friend of mine that also bought them said it was to press against the inside of your ear to keep them from falling out while running. So now I have 2 uses for the stability loops!
I just bought mine yesterday. Had an issue with the left earpiece, sound was going on and off with crackles. Returned it this morning, and got an immediate replacement at the store which I bought it from (thanks guys!!!). I have to say I'm very impressed with it. For what it's meant to be-a WIRELESS in-ear earphones, I'm giving it 4.5 stars. Good sound, comfortable, with a good fit. For those who complain of it falling off your ears, you haven't got the fit right, and you're not using the silicone retainers properly!! Get it right, and the seal is good enough for some rather full bass too... Wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to anyone of you looking to cut the wires off your work-out and commuting...
Watching this video through my phone and using my back beat 2. Gotta admit these earphones are the best I've ever gotten up to date. I bought them on boxing day too lol. They are comfortable, fit well and they sound very good. Max volume can isolate any background sound. Overall great pair of earphones I'll definitely reccommend it these to anyone looking for wireless earbuds.
Charging case Offers up to 14-1/2 hours of listening time when fully charged. DeepSleep mode puts the headphones into hibernation to extend stand-by battery life to up to 6 months.
Verizon has these for $80 with the pouch right now. I have these and I am very pleased with my first bluetooth ear bud purchase. Also love the fact that I support industry in Santa Cruz CA were plantronics is headquartered!
Thanks for the great review (new sub)! I am choosing to buy these as an alternative to the jaybirds bluebud x's because I cannot afford to spend $160 on earphones being as though I just got a new pc for school. I am willing to deal with minor/fixable issues with the Plantronics earphones for the price I will be purchasing them , but hopefully everything will go smoothly and the battery life doesn't bother me so much. I'll post a review for the Plantronics on amazon and this video once I receive them in the mail.
Hey thank you this was a great review! Do you have a review for the jaybird wireless headphones? It would be nice to know the pros and cons of both headphones. Thanks!
Ive tested both and i find that i use the jaybirds more. the jaybirds are small, as light as these and have longer battery life.(8hrs) They come with also a technology called 'Shift' and it is as good as APT-X (top of the line bluetooth sound) while these dont have any sort of special bluetooth sound optimizations and bla bla blda. Ive spilled water and these are fine, id seriously say that the jaybirds also has a better build quality. Overall It is very comfy too. Take the Bluebuds.
Really put off after having some Sony HBH-IS800's. awesome but a bit long out the ears and one tends to go after a while. I thought that'd not be an issues with headphones that don't put downwards on the cord! On the plus side these do look tempting. Does this support the new BT 4.0 with power saving features?
Well this is a great device but the only problem is the headphones are quite heavy. The rechargeable battery inside it explains why is it so....It keeps on dropping every time I move my head which is kind of annoying. Other than that 4 out of 5.
Upon purchase, do i have to charge it for a long time first before using? (just like when you just get a new phone from a store, and you will have to 'pre-charge' for 8 hours.)
just picked up a pair of the plantronics for $49.99 and my dad has the jabra step and they are both very good wireless headsets personally i would go with the plantronics backbeat go 2 for the extra 30 dollars
After about s months use of them, all the little annoyances have honestly gone away . I think it's about what you use them for, how often you use them, and even where you use them. I use them for when I have breaks in between classes or train rides home, they serve their purpose and exceed my expectations on the level of music quality so I am happy !
I bought a new backbeat go 2 with charging pouch, One problem with charger. it will charge a few seconds only after that it stop charging. each time you connect charger it will charge few seconds then stops. I don't understant what happened. I am wiating for plantronics reply
Four in a half hour battery im a little disappointed in that, thought it was four last time i heard on other reviews but still im not sure if other of these products have a longer battery life and have longer battery pouch chargers too.
Expected this device to connect to any blue tooth enabled device, it does not. Will not connect to a Sumsung Tablet and or a PC with Windows 7. In addition if you want to connect it to your phone and then say an Ipod you need to unpair it first, it will not pair with multiple items. For this reason it gets 2 stars.
CDeviant I think I said it wrong, Note3 charge at 2A. If I use Note3 charger to charge BackBeat Go2, will the voltage too high for this device? I am in Malaysia, my attached charger does not show its voltage, so I am concerned. Could you please see what shows on your charger?
紫雨老师 Ahh I understand. The Stock charger for the Plantronics BackBeats is rated at 5v = 750mA (0.75A) I have never had an issue with charging devices/batteries with a little more amps, but I guess that it could cause problems, I use my phone charger too (rated at 2A) and it works just fine so far.
The Current rating of any DC Voltage Device is simply the maximum the charger is able to output, since both devices run off micro USB 5V, you can charge them both with the same charger. Note: current (amps) are not outputted, they are drawn by the device connected, if the device requires .75A, it will draw .75A, if the device requires 2A, it will draw 2A. the only limit being the max the charger is rated for
Ben Lockwood so you mean that Note3's charger will not hurt the earpiece because backbeat's charger also use 5V output, and the amps is irrelevant, am I right?
How to connect to multiple devices , I have connected first to my friends Iphone and later when i connect to my android phones its not getting detected in bluetooth search and i have tried with 2-3 android devices and it got detected in none
How far do these go until they disconnect because when I'm like 10 feet away from my house it buffers then disconnects. And it's bluetoothing to my phone
DO NOT BUY THESE FOR GYM OR RUNNING! I bought these ear buds yesterday and they do not stay in your ear with any excess activity. I bought them to pair with a bluetooth music device for the gym and they do not stay in. Im just lifting weights, so I dread to think of those that are actually taking full impact strides. Will be returning these today.
I play basketball with them and they stay in just fine all while jumping, sprinting, and various moves. It'll occasionally come out if my ears become really sweaty, otherwise make sure you have the right sized ear bud
DeepCover66 Do not listen to him I have the same set never come out, must not have the right size earbud plugs perhaps. But no the BackBeat go 2s will not just fall out.
They have NO ear support, they basically are to function like ear plugs; stick them in and hope that they wedge into your ear enough that they dont fall out. unfortunately, they are so long that they hang out too far and gravity pulls them down, then out. If you like em, buy em. I dont give a shit - but they fall out and im glad I dont own them anymore. #BeatsByDrDre
Hi, I'm looking gor the best bt headset, and considering prices i have opportunity to buy either plantronics bb go 2 or denon ah w 150 a fairly good price, can anyone point out some convincing arument for some of these?, i would be very grateful.
Well crap I just got these and now im afraid....ihope it last...we got off to a bad start. The giant size ear thing didnt fit and they raped my ear holes. The next size cups have sunk in so deep they to cos pain. Buuuuut. They sound good and I think I may get use to it.....but gosh I hope mine last
The battery life is not as good as advertised, I constantly get 3.5 hrs. I don't listen to music with my earphones as much as I used to so this is no such a big deal for me. They used to fall out until I found a way to wear them. I go over the ear and make a loop in front of my on each side until the cable behind my back is tight to my head and plug them in my ears... this way they stay in place even if I deliverately do headbanging. Sound quality is actually pretty good for my taste, and bass is lacking but enough for me, I tend to dislike extreme bass
Good battery, existent bass but definitely not bass head earphones (this is honestly as good as it gets with bass too, because bass notes take a lot more energy from the battery to produce, I haven't really heard of any bluetooth in ear with tons of bass, sorry bass heads), and they don't ever fall out of my ears. Impressive sound for the price point especially considering their bluetooth headphones.
There's 4.5 hrs of listening time. How's that not enough? You're saying you're going to be having them in your ears non stop for 4.5 hours? Probably not. So when you're done, turn them off so you can use them later. And keep your travel case charged so you can charge it if needed. And you probably have collyfloeur ears because they fit perfectly fine.

I found mine on the ground in a parking garage in Roseburg Oregon.
Charging case
Offers up to 14-1/2 hours of listening time when fully charged. DeepSleep mode puts the headphones into hibernation to extend stand-by battery life to up to 6 months.
Thanks for your explanation of the case - I'm looking to purchase one of these but had no idea how the case worked :)
Purchased these for $56 with the charging case on Choxi!!! it's a great deal for simple Bluetooth headphones!
Verizon has these for $80 with the pouch right now. I have these and I am very pleased with my first bluetooth ear bud purchase. Also love the fact that I support industry in Santa Cruz CA were plantronics is headquartered!
I didnt know they were in Santa Cruz. I got mine on ebay for about $66 and thats where they shipped from
Thanks for the great review (new sub)! I am choosing to buy these as an alternative to the jaybirds bluebud x's because I cannot afford to spend $160 on earphones being as though I just got a new pc for school. I'm using it. Easy n stay in place well. Recommend.
Case separately is $29.00 from Plantronics
Website under assesories.
Hey thank you this was a great review! Do you have a review for the jaybird wireless headphones? It would be nice to know the pros and cons of both headphones. Thanks!
wow 4 and half hours is more than enough I love Plantronics products. they are well worth the money
Just got a pair, great video presentation
You can order the case separate for $29 on Plantronics website.

I thought that'd not be an issues with headphones that don't put downwards on the cord! On the plus side these do look tempting. Does this support the new BT 4.0 with power saving features?
Does the case recognize when the earplugs is fully charged and turn off? Or does it continuously charge even when fully charged?
Anyone have any charging issues from the case ?
that is one hell of a detailed review, great :D
nice review bro trying to decide between this or the jaybird x
Excellent Review, Thank you very much!
Did you talk about sound quality?
compare by JBL products.. for eg: JBL Reflect BT which product is better?
how they stands against jaybird bluebuds x in terms of constructions, features, sound quality and call quality...?
Well this is a great device but the only problem is the headphones are quite heavy. The rechargeable battery inside it explains why is it so....It keeps on dropping every time I move my head which is kind of annoying. Other than that 4 out of 5.
The charging port seems to be a little bit loose, I don't hear any 'clip' sound to make sure it is tight. Is this normal ?
Good review I plan on buying this.
Upon purchase, do i have to charge it for a long time first before using? (just like when you just get a new phone from a store, and you will have to 'pre-charge' for 8 hours.)
You don't need charge phones when you buy them. The new battery that is used in the phones doesn't need that
Yes, but its not meant to give you that kind of juice
About to buy a pair, but confused between these and Jabra Step.
How do these compare with the Jabra Step?
just picked up a pair of the plantronics for $49.99 and my dad has the jabra step and they are both very good wireless headsets personally i would go with the plantronics backbeat go 2 for the extra 30 dollars
both sound amazing but the jabra has better battery life than the plantronics.
Would you know which Comply tips fit these? The BB Go 1 used be the 200 series but I've read somewhere that the previous tips won't fit these. Thanks!
4 hours play time is awful I get 6 to 7 with the Bluejays bluebird x.. I would like to purchase that Case though
+devaughn currie yeah 4 is terrible, but for half the price of the jaybirds , its not half as bad.
+Happy Camper great to know ! I currently have the plant tonics, and I'm very happy with them
After about s months use of them, all the little annoyances have honestly gone away . I think it's about what you use them for, how often you use them, and even where you use them. I use them for when I have breaks in between classes or train rides home, they serve their purpose and exceed my expectations on the level of music quality so I am happy !
+Jada Byrd hows the sound quality ?
da fuk is with the video filter?
I bought a new backbeat go 2 with charging pouch, One problem with charger. it will charge a few seconds only after that it stop charging. each time you connect charger it will charge few seconds then stops. I don't understant what happened. I am wiating for plantronics reply
company offered replacement. I am waiting for the new charger from the company. Good after sales support.
I like my plantronics backbeat go 2 alot, really worth the money
how many hours would take to fully charge the extra charger?and how would u know if its already full?
A solid blue light should tell u it is full, it takes about 2.5 hours max.
Four in a half hour battery im a little disappointed in that, thought it was four last time i heard on other reviews but still im not sure if other of these products have a longer battery life and have longer battery pouch chargers too.
this is awesome but i know it cant beat wired headphones so im afraid to give them a try, the case thing is a great idea though
Does the case come with the headphones or separate...if so, how much is it?
Thanks for an informative video
There is no play next button right? Or is there any way to play next?
are they very loud
Sound quality?
Could the case be used to also charge a cell phone or other devices?
how long does it take to fully recharge the headphone using the recharge case?
how do the transparent colored ear fasteners work ? they turn but for what reason?
Can you store the earphones in the charging case or is it just meant to hold the battery solo?
the idea is that you store them in the case
Expected this device to connect to any blue tooth enabled device, it does not. Will not connect to a Sumsung Tablet and or a PC with Windows 7. In addition if you want to connect it to your phone and then say an Ipod you need to unpair it first, it will not pair with multiple items. For this reason it gets 2 stars.
Whats with the camera?
does the case itself come with the package inside the box? or did you have to buy it separately?
you can purchase it either way
hi, can i pair this with a desktop/laptop bluetooth connectivity? thanks
How is the bass?
what is the charging voltage for this device? 1V or 2.1V? Samsung Galaxy Note 3 use 2V to charge, can I use its charger?
The Note 3 charges at a standard 5v - input (like 99% of all usb devices)
This is no different.
CDeviant I think I said it wrong, Note3 charge at 2A. If I use Note3 charger to charge BackBeat Go2, will the voltage too high for this device?

sweet review
Can you listen to the headset while charging?
Tim:the one I have does not charge while listening.
How to connect to multiple devices , I have connected first to my friends Iphone and later when i connect to my android phones its not getting detected in bluetooth search and i have tried with 2-3 android devices and it got detected in none
which did you take?
Go review! Very helpful...
BTW...excellent review. Thank you for putting it together.
How far do these go until they disconnect because when I'm like 10 feet away from my house it buffers then disconnects. And it's bluetoothing to my phone
it's 33 feet range
Junior Renezil okay thanks!
You welcome

Hi, I'm looking gor the best bt headset, and considering prices i have opportunity to buy either plantronics bb go 2 or denon ah w 150 a fairly good price, can anyone point out some convincing arument for some of these?, i would be very grateful.

you need better sound dude - it's video 101. Get a mic as close to your mouth as possible - also lots of noise in the sound here too.
+Nick Donnelly its been greatly improved. this video is also 3 years old :-)

Don't work on apple
+Denny D It sure does
CROW!
lol 799 dollars?
this is shit. very uncomfortable, earphone falls all the way out, when it rains don't use it outside and it's expensive.
Terrible battery life, non existent bass and fall out my ears really easy. Buy something else.
sounds like a faulty pair, i have tested 10 pairs of these and none of them had problems while using each for a week
Well, my plantronics backbeat go 2 are fabolous..
No problem with the battery, fits perfectly and good bass...
The battery life is not as good as advertised, I constantly get 3.5 hrs. I don't listen to music with my earphones as much as I used to so this is no such a big deal for me.

Sound quality is actually pretty good for my taste, and bass is lacking but enough for me, I tend to dislike extreme bass
Good battery, existent bass but definitely not bass head earphones (this is honestly as good as it gets with bass too, because bass notes take a lot more energy from the battery to produce, I haven't really heard of any bluetooth in ear with tons of bass, sorry bass heads), and they don't ever fall out of my ears. hold the answer call button
Purchased these for $56 with the charging case on Choxi!!! it's a great deal for simple Bluetooth headphones!
