Fantastic unit. I especially like the return to base feature - as I had the wind take it across a river on me, lost contact, and it came right back to me. I had visions of searching the woods while I waited... but it proved true to it's word and came home. My only advice - update it! Make sure you run all the software updates BEFORE your first flight. I had a couple nasty crashes when I attempted an out-of-box flight. I updated and it's been nothing but an easy to fly charm.

Can you tell the camera to stay focused on one particular subject of choice, i. e. lock the focus on one particular point, like a person, regardless of the position of the phantom? thanks!

That is total flight capacity. You can set an alert threshold up to 30% to alert/remind you, that way you can hopefully make it back. I don't think there is a way to have it "automatically" return at a preset threshold though, which I hope I am wrong.

Although I am sure the P2ZenMuseGoPro combo offers better performance, for the money of the P2V+, it's really hard to beat for someone like me who is just a hobbyist. I'm ok with 90% of the capability for the sake of the all-in-one integration. The longer flight time is a bonus for a hack who will need as much time in the air as possible :)
I've decided to leave the dji family and start looking at the Walker family of Quadcopter. I've recently purchased the QR x800 and it's rated to fly for 30 to 60 minutes. This quad is 4x the size of the phantom and offers all the features of the phantom and more and the quad is made out of carbon fiber "props and frame". This unit is nice, it even came with a case For about $150 more than the phantom. It flys Waypoint mission, retractable landing skids etc. On my first flight I flew for 30 minutes. A real 30 minutes flight. I was extremely impressed.

This thing is $1300. The camera is capable of shooting 1080i 60 fps? Then why is the resolution so crappy… I would prefer a gimble with the latest GoPro camera. It records audio. This does not. Half the reviews of the phantom complain that it flies away. That is way to many people complaining about the same issue. Who wants to watch their $1300 fly away… And the customer service according to the reviews are crap. I want one of these phantom drone RCs but I'm not throwing away $1300. There needs to be a fool proof return to home and it still has yet to be demonstrated or tested in a review. Someone show the feature 10xs and lets see it it works all the times. For $1300 the return to home has to work 100% of the time. The blade protector should be included. An extra battery. Some kind of waterproofness and floatable. A display built in to the remote so I don't have to use my phone. For $1300 it needs to offer more. As is I would pay maybe $400-$500. The parrot drone costs $300 flies good it just has a shitty camera. They up the camera quality and tweak it a bit, I along with most ppl are going to buy it instead. Lower the price DJI. You're a chinese company we know this shit doesn't cost you much. A friend of mine bought one of these in China and it cost less than $100.
you can get it with out the DJI Camera All of my friends that shoot Music Videos you the quad copter with the gimble and GoPro much better then the DJI Camera and much better Video and you can see what you are shooting with a wifi system !
ThatOneWeirdGal I don't think that is the drone's camera fault. The whole video is supposed to be in 1080P, but the entire video looks more like 720 at best
